78 days for us!!!!!!

{{{PrincessHeather}}} I am so sorry my wedding twin is getting so stressed! :-(
I am in NY and we are all flying Southwest on a direct flight. I am very neatly packing my wedding dress in tissue paper and putting in a hard shell carryon case that fits in the overhead. I'm packing my clothes and other items in a regular size hard case to be checked. The direct flight ideally prevents them from "losing" the big case, and the wedding gown travels with me the whole time. After the wedding, I can stuff dress and everything else in the big case to be checked going home without worrying if it gets wrinkled, crushed, etc.
If your dress will not in anyway fit into a carryon, what about buying a luggage garment bag that folds in half? That should also fit in the overhead and prevent your dress from getting lost or crushed.
We rented a limo to take our party of 7 from WDW to the port and back to WDW after the cruise. It was actually cheaper to go that route than Disney transport and we get dropped off to port early. I just had to restrict (threaten, sort of) everyone to 1 large case so we could fit all the luggage in the trunk...
Everything will work out... I'm sure of it![]()
So I got my letter from Shanda passing me off to Sarah, our coordinator on the ship. It stated to bring no more than 2 witnesses for the civil ceremony.... Do you have to bring witnesses or can they provide them? We only have our parents and kids coming, and I don't want our parents at the civil - I feel like it takes away from the surprise and magic of the onboard ceremony. Does anyone know how this works?
I also hope you do not have to bring witnesses as we are not having a huge group and would like to have them at our "real" wedding ceremony only as well!! Fingers crossed that is what we can do!![]()
Oh goodness, I hope you don't have to bring witnesses for the civil ceremony... it's just the two of us and no one has said anything about that. If so, I guess i'll just grab the first 2 people who walk by!
I just spend 3 hours in line at the Van Nuys courthouse to get our license, and came out to find a $58 parking ticket. And, to add to the disgust, I was working with a girl at Arribas Bros. to custom design our flutes and they're telling me I can't use my monogram because it contains 3 circles that could be a hidden mickey (which is the point). i've been waiting on them for over 2 months! Ugh!!!
12 days till our wedding!!!!
Soo excited indeed is how i am feeling!! I just want to say that so far, taking this route by planning to get married on the "Disney cruise" has been AMAZING! I feel like doing it this way stays true to what is truly important in a wedding. The decorations and all the materialistic things that's bring the glitz and glamor to wedding is sooo irrelevant. Its about focusing on loved ones, that special moment, & the memories of the day you are finally Husband and wife! I say there is no better way to start off your new chapter in your life together the celebrating life in a way that brings much excitement to your heart.
on another note i have already started packing, well *attempted* is more like it.my living room floor is just full of clothes i want to pack, wedding stuff, and empty suitcases. I have spoke with Shanda and i now know who my on board group manager is, Sarah. On embankment day we plan to meet the wedding coordinator, have lunch, do the civil ceremony (which i got the part where there should be NO MORE then 2 guest. and i can only think of 1 guest cause my parents, since i have 2 sets, would be highly jealous if i chose one over the other. so i think its just a safe bet not saying anything about the civil service to them and find a random guest.) and immediately meeting with the hair stylist & photographer. That way we can get all the wedding business out of the way and enjoy the rest of the cruise.
Speaking of photographers we have ended up picking the middle photo package for now. I really wanted to buy the bigger package but we are kind of tight on moneybut my fiance spoke with shanda and shanda said that we can purchase which ever package we would like on board and after the cruise we have the option of buying the pictures that we didnt get on board online at a later date. Which is so helpful for a bride that's on a budget because that 1,000 dollar package for 2 hours is kind of crazy. Another reason we chose the middle package is my brother bought his new camera that takes amazing photos and he has offered to take photos while we are getting ready and as well as chasing us around the ship even after the Disney photographers times are up. Which is so helpful since he can take photos that the photographer on board may have missed... for free
also since we are getting married on pirate night i would love to have a couple of pictures of us watching the fireworks in our outfits.. hmmm the possibilities
Well i hope many brides are having fun! I cannot wait to share pictures and let you know my experience with you all!!![]()

Hi everyone~
I am in the process of finishing my packet as it is due on 8/26-OMG!! Can you please post your selections. I am having a tough time deciding and DF could care less. Thanks!
Lisa
I just added the father/daughter and mother/son dance songs in the blanks on the packet. When the itinerary came back, they were listed on there. We do have to provide our own CD for those songs, but that was no problem.Do you specifically have to ask for Father/Daughter dance? I really would like to do one but did not see it on the planning materials....
Also what is the hidden crystal Mickey for six dollars in the floral?

Hi Lisa!
Here is what I am doing...not sure if it will help...
Prelude/Seating- A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes, Cinderella
Processional- When You Wish Upon A Star, Pinnocchio
Recessional- Disney's Electric Light Parade
Reception/First Dance- Can't Help Falling In Love, Michael Buble
My DF didn't really care either except for our first dance song.

Yeah making a CD is no problem, I will do that! Thank you for the heads up! I am soooo nervous to slow dance, I never slow dance! lol

Those are put into your bouquet and in his bout. You can email Shanda for a picture or some brides have them on the floral thread. I am getting them. I think it will add some bling to my red roses. Shanda said odd numbers look the best and most brides order 1-3. I am ordering 3 for mine and one for Quinn's bout.
