Well, you can peek in at MY wedding on Castaway on that Saturday. I'll be the groom in the suit. :) We just got our final itinerary from Shanda, so the stress just elevated. But if you happen to be over on the wedding area, take a look.

The other thing I would do is scope out good/interesting photo settings. I've looked at a ton of them and I KNOW that I'll have a few that I haven't seen pictures of before.

Congrats and good luck!

Brian

Hey Brian-

Can you post the itinerary for the wedding on Castaway Cay? I am interested to see what the timing is...

Cant wait to hear all about your big day!! It is coming fast!

Thanks!
Lisa

We went on a preview cruise on the Dream back in January, and I spent quite a bit of time scouting the ship and Castaway Cay for wedding photo spots. I also checked out the Castaway Cay beach where our ceremony will take place (to see the location, walking distance from the tram stop for our guests, and how bright & sunny it will be around 10:00am).

I have a framed photo collage from that cruise on my desk at work and look at pictures of the ceremony location almost every day. Nine and half more months to go...it can't come soon enough :yay:

Brian - The big day is just around the corner...best wishes! I look forward to hearing all about your wedding cruise.

Mine is almost exactly the same, but our cake is in " D Lounge - Deck 4 midships" So new cool view for us. Then again we have 50 guests, so we might not fit in some of the other spaces.

Aimee, is your "Florida" ceremony at the port, on onboard? I was surprised, I heard on here, that it was at the Port, EARLY in the morning. Mine is listed as 3-3:30 in the Fantasy Conference Room. ?? Weird. I was HOPING to get in and done early and be the first on Aquaduck!!

Now if only I can get DF to stop adding things to the welcome gifts!!! I am SO "crafted" out!!

BD

P.S. I notice we have a bride emoticon :bride:, but no groom? MODS? Can we get a groom??

Ok, now I'm getting worried. I'm on the 9/11 sailing and still haven't got my final itinerary. Did everyone else get this by mail or email?:confused3

I got it by email and I asked for it.

Glad to see that the weddings on CC can be in the mornings .. when I was there the first time, the biggest blackest cloud came over at 2.30pm and dumped a million gallons of rain on us!! :scared1:

Our wedding will be on CC in October (not until 2015!!!) so if I get it all done by lunchtime, I'll be a happy bunny! :thumbsup2

Shanda said the weddings on CC are always at 10...I guess they figure before it gets "too" hot or something like that but I agree at least we have our wedding and their our guests can enjoy the island while DF and I take pictures all around the ship!

Congrats to all of the brides!!

Did anyone get married in Nassau? I am looking for a place to do our vow renewal ceremony during our May cruise. I'd love to do it on Castaway Cay but the price is out of budget for us.

Also, does anyone know if its possible to hire a ship photographer to go around with us for an hour and take pics in our attire? Or this only something the shipboard weddings get to do? Thanks!! :lovestruc

So I got my letter from Shanda passing me off to Sarah, our coordinator on the ship. It stated to bring no more than 2 witnesses for the civil ceremony.... Do you have to bring witnesses or can they provide them? We only have our parents and kids coming, and I don't want our parents at the civil - I feel like it takes away from the surprise and magic of the onboard ceremony. Does anyone know how this works?

We were told--unless I misunderstood--that you didn't have to bring witnesses at all, that it was optional. We feel like you, and don't want to ruin the "show" of the "real" ceremony for our guests. So, I take that "no more than 2" statement to mean: if you want to bring witnesses, please bring no more than 2.

Again, that's just my understanding. You probably want to clarify with the on-board coordinator.

I also hope you do not have to bring witnesses as we are not having a huge group and would like to have them at our "real" wedding ceremony only as well!! Fingers crossed that is what we can do! :)

Oh my goodness! Congratulations! You must be ecstatic. I know I feel that way and this is just a vacation for us :) Much less how I'll feel when its time for my wedding cruise:laughing:

I don't know how early my DF and I are planning to get out to CC at (we are definite night owls), but I let him know about you and we'll see how he feels about coming out to watch. Congrats!!!!
