I am a Travel Agent and I contacted Shanda for my Client. I cc'ed the client and now we both get the emailes from Shanda. It worked out great and they booked my client for October/November 2011 a month or so ago!

Did they change it Lisa..I am pretty sure we all had to wait for the 12 month mark back in 2007/8

We had to wait until the 12 month mark just last year. My son's wedding is this September and we had to wait until last September to officially book it.

From what I read on all of your pjs,I thought I was going to have to wait until this September (12 months out) to book for my CC vow renewal even though we were the first couple unofficially penciled in for it. I remembered reading on Lisa's pj how she kept contacting them from time to time until she got the CC ceremony. I emailed Shanda on June 21st to asked if it was still too early to "officially" book it,& by the 24th it was officially booked.

We were penciled in for September 2011 about 4 months ago and they said they would send an email when we could officially book. We never called back and around the third week in June we got an email that we could book. Now we already have the planning guide!

Hey, I'm here (just not as often I use to be). I was fortunate as we only decided to do a VR early February for our 25th that September, so I didn't have all that stress. Plus it was just hubby and I.

I called Cathy back in June 2008 for our VR in December 2009....she said to call back in December. I called at Thanksgivig and she relented and booked for me. must be a new thing.

Didn't mean to exclude you!! The kids are doing well....they love summer. I missed a great opportunity to book another Disney Cruise....so they are a bit miffed right now, but I told them I am going to keep looking.

I am happy. I just got a call back from Joe, Shanda's asst. WE ARE BOOKED. On board cereony cor Oct 2. 2011 Dream Cruise. Shanda will call me next week with more stuff and my planning kit.

Since cruise ships/beaches tend to be quite breezy, has anyone every tried weighing down their veil with sinkers? Sinkers are small bead-sized fishing weights. I've heard other brides have used nail polish to paint them to match and had them sewn intermittently on the underside of the veils trim. Supposedly they're so small that the trim hides them. My veil isn't that long, only elbow-length, and although I like the idea of it blowing a little in the breeze, I don't want it whipping around like a tulle tornado

Good weekend everyone just wondering when you choose early dinning are you allowed to switch to a later dinning time one night? Like on the day of my wedding?

Can't your debit card be used as a credit card? I know mine can....of course there needs to be enough money in the acct. I would talk to your bank and ask, and make certain that they are aware of the charge. When we went to Russia to adopt our children, we called our bank in advance so that they would be certain to clear the charges that we were going to be making. They knew the dates, the charge amounts, and who would be making the charges so it all went through without difficulty.

They probably don't want to use it as debit due to a fee they may incur.

I'm a little confused. Our VR was added to our reservation. Do we have to submit the payment by Credit card, or can't we just pay it off like we would the cruise? To me, it makes it easier to keep track of everything???

I'm not sure but I don't think you are allowed to do this because you are assigned to servers and they follow you every night. But being that it is your wedding cruise, they may make an exception but not sure. Hope that helps some!

sja03 - yes you just pay it off like you pay off your cruise. It is added to the cost of the cruise, so to pay your cruise off it is paid as well.
HelloKitty - I don't think you can switch your dining times. The tables are usually full for both seatings, so that would mean that someone else is at your table for the second seating. We asked Shanda to make sure the Captain realized we have early seating, so the ceremony needed to be the earliest time available. She said she would make sure that was known and that it shouldn't be a problem.

Were sooooo excited for the new Dream it looks so awesome! Some of our guest are actually really excited to stay in the interior rooms

Our VR fee was included as part of our cruise charges and we paid it off together. We had like 9 months to pay on it, so this was great!

Also, we had dinner at Palo the night of our VR and it was later. We didn't have a reception there, so this is why we got this. You can always book it and skip your regular dining.

I have to say that it sounds like Shanda is on the ball. I hope that everything works out for all the new brides. And I can't wait to see some pics of weddings on the Dream. Maybe next year, we'll get to go

The weights also sound like an awesome idea. It was super duper windy on our cruise. Thank God that my dress was heavy and long, b/c I had several wardrobe malfunctions earlier that day in a short dress. My hair was also just knotted up completely with the wind. I'm actually rather glad that I didn't have a veil to fight with.

Haha I agree with your guests! I think the virtual portholes are really cool- the DF wanted a verandah but I convinced him to get an interior room so we could see the characters pop up! Yea I'm a geek
