Disney costumes

Hi all!
My daughter (7) loves dressing up and I would really like to be able to buy her a new outfit when we are on our trip.
The problem is she is pretty tall for her age.
For her 5th birthday I bought her a tinkerbell outfit from the disney shop but I had to buy size 10-11. It still fits her but only just long enough.

Has anyone ever looked at what sizes the outfits go up to in the shops at DLP? Any idea of how possible it will be would be great!

Not sure on the sizes but may be better to considering purchasing here before going out to DLP to avoid disappointment

I would also recommend buying before you go as they are much better quality at the Disney Store.

Thanks! I'll definatly have a look next time I'm near Disney shop but I dont remember them going much above 13yr size so I was hoping we could get bigger ones in DLP.

How do the prices at DLP compare with the Disney shop ones if the quality is not so good?

It is her birthday the week before we go so I could get her one here as a presant for her birthday if that works out a better option.

one of the nicest costumes i ever saw a child dressed as was dorothy from the wizard of oz. i know its not a disney princess or other gauzy costume but it was perfect. we told the mother how lovely her child looked and she said she had made the whole thing herself for less than $20. a blue gingham pinafore skirt, a white blouse, she even made a pyjama case dog for daughter to carry. the only thing she bought was the red shoes.

They did have some bigger dresses . We saw some in the arcade shop (sorry can't remember the name !) But I would advise checking out the Disney Store here or Woolworths. They has some quite recently on a Buy one get one half price deal. . I found the DLRP dresses to be poorer quality and equal in price if not more expensive than the Disney Store UK.

You could also try ebay. I bought my daughter a belle dress from ebay at a fraction of the cost and it was much better quality that the ones at Disneyland.

My DD is 10 and is tall for her age. We bought her a Cinderella dress which is age 12 at DLRP and it fits beautifully. We were going to buy her a new one from the Disney Store before we went (their largest size was age 11-12) but it was a short dress and she wanted a floor length one.

When I had looked last year I thought the quality at DLRP was inferior to that at home, however on closer inspection the dress is actually much better made than I had first thought. It was 59 euros but I would say the dress is on a par with the Belle winter dress at the Disney Store (UK) that sells at £35.

BTW, M&S had some Disney dresses in yesterday, I think they went up to age 8.

Hmmmm, At the mo my daughter is in either size 11-12 or size 13 clothes depending on the shop so a size 11-12 dress-up outfit wouldn't last long.
I will check the UK shop out when I'm next near and if no luck we'll just have to see when we get there. But 59 euros if I've worked it out right thats about £40!
Might have to check our spending budget again!

My daughter also prefers floor length dresses but the speed she grows they don't stay that way for long (much to her disgust)!

I know, we nearly when we saw the price tag! Trouble was she set her heart on it because she wants to wear it for Cinderella's breakfast at WDW (and it is a beautiful dress). Her birthday was a month after we got back so in the end she had it as an early birthday present.
