My family is looking at taking our first DLR trip in August 2014 so I'm looking at prices and have a couple of questions:

- When might 2014 SoCal CityPASSes become available at costco.ca and will they be the same price as the current ones?
- Can you use a Canadian Costco membership to book travel through the costco.com website?
- Do you need a US address to travel through a Costco booking? My SIL lives in MI and we could use her address as a mailing point, but obviously it wouldn't match any of our photo ID, etc.

Thanks for your help!

Regarding Costco Travel it is my understanding Canadians cannot use them while in Canada since they are not travel agents under TICO. I have no idea if you could go to the US to book travel while there. At least that is what I was told when i called to see if I could book travel through them.

I received a different answer when I tried to book some travel components for my family last spring through Costco travel. They will book any travel components they offer to Canadian members as well. You just need a U.S. funds credit card that is linked to an American address. One of the addresses on that U.S. Fund credit card when they ask for the address linked to the card needs to be an American one.

All you need to do is take the costco code and coupon and book directly with Avis, Budget, Alamo. You sometimes get a lower rate or the option to prepay if close to departure can be a good option.

I book my rental cars through Costco.com and I use my Canadian Visa. Give them a call.

When I bought our Citypasses from Costco.ca for our January 2012 trip, the Costco Citypasses were not available until late December. but they do have an express shipping option.

The SOCAL Citypasses appear to be available again on costco.ca. $269.99 delivered. Link on bottom right of home page
