Disney College Program!! I am going!!!

So people do Trip Reports and Pre Trip Reports... I am gonna do one too.

I am doing the Disney College Program for Spring Advantage 2008!! I am getting ahead of myself... so let me back up!

Three weeks ago, I got an email from Disney talking about the DCP and I was like hey what the heck, I will give it a shot! So I watched the E-Presentation and then called for an interview and filled out my application at the very exact time! My interview went smoothly and they asked all the normal questions that I have heard from everyone else! Then she told me I had to wait two weeks... that was gonna be torture for me!!

So like 6 days later I got this white package in the mail (I had been checking the mail box everyday even though she said it was gonna be two weeks)

I got accepted for Spring Advantage for Quick Service Food and Beverage!! I was so excited

Now was the hard part of telling my mom. She wasn't so sure about it at first but I quickly showed her the website and had a bunch of conversations! She is okay with it now!!

So the program doesnt start til january and i cant just sit around checking DIS until then.. i gotta get up and go get a job!!

I went out and applied at the new Target and got hired which makes me very excited. So I am gonna work full time there and then i had totally forgotten that i put my application in at the Disney Store in the mall so when they called about an interview, i jumped on that too... anything to do with Disney!! So now i am just gonna work weekends there and get some cool discounts at both places!!


But i am so busy that i dont realize that the days are just flying by and i only have 101 days until the DCP!! I am so excited!! I have already wanted to start packing and planning on possibly visiting Disney before then!!

I was in QSFB last spring! It was very time consuming and it kept me on my toes, but I had a BLAST! Good luck this spring!

Congrats, how exciting! I did my program Fall 2004, also Quick Service Food and Beverage. You will like it alot, so fun! When I first told my mom she was nervous but when she took me down there and everything she got really excited about it, and she STILL tells people, 3 years later, that her daughter used to work for Disney, haha. It is truly a magical place, I met my boyfriend on the college program actually, we are still together and got engaged at Disney on vacation in July. Now we get to go back for a Disney Honeymoon!

I worked in Animal Kingdom at Restaurantosaurus. When I did the program, we weren't given "Kitchen Only" or "counter only" option, so I did both. Honestly I liked Kitchen better, just cause you can talk to you friends more, haha. It was a great time!

So today was the longest day ever at work!! I felt like i was there forever!

But anyways i have like 97 more days and i cannot wait! I am still trying to plan a trip to Disney before the college program starts! Probably something in December, I will let everyone know!

But now I am trying to make sure I have everything to bring with me! We are having a garage sale on Saturday, so I can hope to put some of that towards the not planned disney trip!

Well thats all for today so far!!

But boy am i so tired and i get to do it all again tomorrow!!

So there is not any real big news!!


Just waiting for the days to count down! It should go by pretty quick with halloween, then my birthday and then thanksgiving and then Christmas.. i hope it flys by!

I did have my interview with the Disney Store!! And it went really well so I hope all that works out! And Target is going great.. i absolutely love it there!
