Disney College Program DVC Incentives

My little sister is starting in the Fall in Disneys internship program. My parents are interested in DVC and the internship website says that there are incentive discounts offered to the parents of interns. Does anyone know what these are? My wife and I have been DVC members for a few years now and love it and mom and dad want to buy in, but won't hear DVC presentation until they drop little sis off in August. So, if anyone has any info on what the incentives are, it would be much appreciated.

My son has done several CP programs and currently is a seasonal cast member. There are promotions for CMs which college program CPs and interns and their immediate families can take advantage of. We looked at those but they didn't come anywhere near the discounts we could get with a resale purchase. My advice is to read and read on here, then find out the current CM discount and compare costs. Hopefully your parents can tour all the resorts to decide their favorite or, better yet, stay at one. We first stayed at a DVC resort with cash thanks to the deep discount my son was able to get us while he was working there. After that, we were hooked!

Discount now is 15% for all Cast Members, including CP's. It used to be 20%, our son was a CP at that time and we got the 20%. It could change at anytime, up or down.

They will want to find out what restrictions they will/might have, getting a CM-family discount. I've read here that CM-discount DVC purchases have restrictions on the use of the points (and sales of the contract) that normal purchases do not have.

The Discount just bumped (3/21/2012) to 20% and will expire on September 29th.
