February 20th, 2013 - Typhoon Lagoon
This morning I slept in and woke up around 10. I had a text message from Mark asking me when I worked today. And then he asked if I wanted to go to Typhoon Lagoon. YES YES YES!!!!
We got ready and drove over to Typhoon. We dropped off our stuff on some chairs near the wave pool and then we went on some slides!
We went on Mayday Falls, Crush N Gusher, (where we saw my roommate, Liz, working!) Gangplank Falls, Keelhaul Falls, and Storm Slides. They were all really fun!
After that we went in the lazy river, which was WONDERFUL. We went around twice and Mark talked about how our life would be if we had a DCP reality show. IT'D BE GREAT. It would be called
"Patterson Court: The Gated Community.
The gates are open... And so it the DRAMA."
It's our own spinoff of Jersey Shore but instead of going to clubs we go to the Magic Kingdom.
Then we got out and went in the wave pool! That was so much fun!!! We swam out really far one time so we could ride the big wave in and it was crazy!!!
After a few waves, all of the energy was knocked right out of me! It was lunch time!
We went to Typhoon Tillys first and I got a chicken wrap there.
Mark went to Leaning Palms to get his meal because they had quite a few more options over there. He got a pulled pork sandwich that he really loved. We ate our meals over by this restaurant.
Then for dessert we HAD to get the sand pail sundae. OH MY GOD IT WAS ONE OF THE BEST THINGS I HAVE EVER HAD. It contained chocolate vanilla twist ice cream, hot fudge, caramel, oreo cookie crumbs, waffle cone pieces, strawberries, whipped cream, sprinkles, and a cherry. YUM YUM YUM!!!!!!!!
Mark and I did our best but we only finished around 2/3's of it. It was so incredibly delicious though. It was like our training for the kitchen sink. That is going to be another masterpiece we will have to tackle sometime in the near future.
After that, we went to the merchandise store and did a little pin trading.
Then we headed back to our chairs and laid in the sun until it was time to leave. The sun suddenly got so much stronger so that was wonderful! I think I got a little bit of color even though we couldn't stay out for too long!
We left Typhoon Lagoon around 2:15 pm and headed home.
I actually saw one of the new Disney buses as we were leaving! It was for Caribbean Beach. They have not all transferred over yet, but I saw a few more yesterday so they're making there way in here.
Mark had to work at 4 so we said our goodbyes. I went to my apartment and just relaxed for an hour. Then I had to work from 5 pm to 1 am!

Hoop De Doo looks so fun! I can't wait to go! Sadly it's not on the agenda for our August trip so hopefully in Jan 2014.

I want to take a carriage ride at Fort Wilderness SO BAD. Christmas time there must be SPECTACULAR.

We went to Hoop de Doo several years ago, before the first Obama election, and they asked us where we are from. When we told them Wasilla, Alaska they naturally had to ask if we can see Russia from our house....uh, nope!
The rhyme was super funny, wish I could remember it!
The guy who was proclaiming you a princess was hilarious! It sounds like he might've been a little creepy but still cool. You just never know what's in someone's head, you just hope they are somewhat normal and not a nutcase!
You and Mark are lucky to have each other. It would be great to have a built-in buddy to run around with all the time!

Loved seeing your pictures from Hoop Dee Doo! We have reservations there in August and seeing those updates made me even more excited! I haven't been since I was little, so I can't wait to go back!

The Hoop and the EWP will always be so special to me because they go back to the EARLY days of the Walt Disney World Resort-they are so historical.

February 21st, 2013 - I'm a Working Girl!
Today was just an ordinary day. I woke up at 11 am which is the latest I have slept in since I moved to Disney! However, that late shift could completely explain why I slept so late.
I got up and got ready for my communications class which started at 1:30 pm.
We got out of class an hour early because we finished all we had to do. I went back to my room, took out the trash and did the dishes, (because Im such a nice roommate) and got a few things done. I also did online check-in for our Art of Animation trip!!!!!! Basically all night I just did a bunch of stuff that was piling up on my to do list.
Then I wrote trip report updates until I went to bed! It was such a nice, relaxing, and productive night!
P.S. DON'T YOU LOVE DUFFY'S NEW OUTFIT!?

This morning I slept in until 10. I got up and wrote lots of trip report updates about when my family visited and talked on the phone with my Mommy.
I had lunch and then headed off to work for my 3 pm -11:30 pm shift. Today was crazy busy because everyone was checking in for the Princess Half Marathon.
And when I got home, I went right to sleep. I had more work in the morning!

February 23rd, 2013
I woke up at 9 am today and had work at 10:45 am! I worked until 6:15 pm. There were even more people checking in for the marathon!
The princess half marathon was actually trending on twitter!!!
I was texting Mark during my break and he came over to Coronado after work so we could eat dinner together! We went to the Pepper Market and both got make your own burritos! I got chicken and he got beef. They were DELICIOUS!
For dessert, Mark got cheesecake and churros which he gobbled up in seconds! I had one bite of a churro and it was fabulous!
I wasnt going to get dessert, but the carrot cake was so enticing. It was so soft and delicious. I am really glad I ended up getting it.
After that, we went home. I got back to the apartment, wrote one trip report update, and went to bed! I had an early morning ahead of me!

February 24th, 2013
This morning I had to get up at 4:50 am because I had a 6:30 am shift. It was the morning of the Princess Half Marathon so while I was driving to the work in the dark I saw the big lights for the race. I was just so honored to be partially involved with the race just by working at a resort with a lot of participants. My life is too cool.

And I love how they didn't play the Jaws music to cut Anne Hathaway off because everyone knows that she actually had beautiful things to say

February 25th, 2013 - I'M GONNA WRECK IT!
This morning I got up around 7:45 am and got ready for my 9:30 am shift. I only worked until 4:15 pm today!
After work I decided to head over to Hollywood Studios! I knew Katt (Katt789 from disboards) was going to be there! So I headed over by myself and had a little Hollywood solo trip!
Those clouds look threatening...
Unfortunately I didnt decide this until I got to work, so I didnt have a bag or anything to hold all of my stuff. So I went to a store on the left side of the main strip and got a little backpack. When I went to leave the shop, it was POURING. So I was stranded for about 15 minutes.
Once the rain let up a little bit, I headed straight to the animation building.
I went inside and had a little time until I was going to meet Wreck It Ralph! He definitely has the cutest set ever!!!
There was a woman in there who was an animator and she had a TON of sketch coloring sheets that kids could color! So of course I picked one out and started coloring! I chose Sorcerer Mickey!
I posted on twitter:
Oh you know. Just casually coloring in the magic of Disney animation pavilion. Because like, I can.
Handy Manny was just walking around with no one to greet! So he came over and said hi to all of us colorers! So I went over and took a picture with him. He's just so cute!!!
While I was coloring, Katt came up and said hi! We only had a couple minutes to chat because she had to go meet up with her friend for Fantasmic, but it was so so nice to meet her in person! She told me a little bit about her trip so far! She went to Beaches and Cream today because of my recommendation and she loved it! YAY!!!
After that it was time to meet Wreck it Ralph! CUTEST QUEUE EVER! I love all of the details and how they're literally pulled right out of the movie.
I only had about a 5-10 minute wait when I got in line. It was SO fun to meet Ralph and Venelope! They were both so sweet! Im SO excited that they are greeting in Disney because that movie was just too dang cute!!! It's so cool to see them in real life. I feel like it was just yesterday that I went to see it in theaters and now Im actually meeting Ralph! He was awesome!!!!!!
After that I was starving. So I walked ALL the way to Pizza Planet only to find out that it stopped serving 30 minutes ago. So I walked back to Sunset Boulevard and decided on Fairfax Fare. I got the pulled pork and beans.
After that, I randomly decided to get a frozen banana. I needed something desserty. It was yummy!
I called my Mom for a little bit and then I left Studios to go home. Lindsay was hanging out in the main room and I feel like I havent seen her in FOREVER. So I just got my laptop and we hung out all night. All of us were home except for Maria so we made up a new trash and dishes system to make things more efficient. We also discussed chores for our upcoming apartment inspection. On top of that, I helped everyone do some Disney dining reservation planning! It was a lot of fun and Lindsay was LOVING my Disney parks music collection! We listened to it all night.

It's so awesome that even this early on in your DCP you are making connections with cast members in so many different areas! I think it puts you in a really good position for when it's time for you to apply for a professional internship.

I commented on the wreck it ralph meet and greet on twitter but it is really cool that mark is friends with ralph! I was wondering when you would be able to meet a character that mark was friends with at the time of your meet and greet.

Love all the updates! (Even the day to day stuff!) My two year old was petrified of Ralph. It was the only character he was scared of! It was actually hilarious and I felt like a mean mom for forcing him to meet him, but my oldest really wanted to! I guess the deal is that you should show your toddlers the movies first, unless of course they won't sit through one... Thanks again for sharing your story with us! You guys are going to have so much fun at AoA when Preston gets into town!
