DISNEY COLLEGE PROGRAM - A Spring 2013 Adventure! *COMPLETE* 11/20

Thank you so much! That trip report has SO much information so I hope it can help with your planning process! I used my Nikon D3100 which is what I use for this trip report as well. I love it! Thank you so much!

That is so incredibly exciting! Once you stay with Disney you're not going to want to stay anywhere else! The Boardwalk is SO fun. I would definitely reccomend checking out Cape May Cafe for breakfast (a wonderful character meal!) and/or for dinner! (seafood buffet) That restaurant is right at the Beach Club so it's within walking distance from your resort! What other restaurant reservations do you already have? That way I could make a few more suggestions!

My 5 year old daughter has suddenly developed a fear of costumed characters so I haven't booked any Character Dining :( Last year we did breakfast with the Princesses at Akershus (sic?) and she really enjoyed that of course. This year so far we have ADRs for:

Breakfast:

Kona Cafe
Captains Grille
(We are staying in a Villa with a full kitchen and will probably eat breakfast in the room a lot-my kids aren't big breakfast eaters)

Dinner:

Rose and Crown
Olivia's Cafe (DH liked the menu here and my DD's name is Olivia very random way to choose a restauraunt I know :rotfl:)
Boatwrights Dining Hall (Another of DH's choices)
La Hacienda de San Angel
Ohana
Coral Reef

So we don't have any ADRs for lunch we were thinking we'd probably do CS restaurants for lunch on most days. Any recommendations? Also do you know if the dinner menus all have chicken nuggets and mac n cheese on them? My kids are big into the kid type foods and I didn't see these on all of the menus like Rose n Crown etc. Thank you SOOOO much for your help. I'd really love to sneak in a character meal at some point but I also don't want my DD to be hiding under the table from the characters either.

Phew! after 3 days of reading I'm finally caught up!!

I cannot tell you how badly you've given me 'Disney Fever'. We don't have a trip scheduled this year and I'm doing Twister with the budget to see if we could 'squeak' in a short visit....

Thank you for your enthusiasm and energy!!!

Boy do I have some catching up to do with this! I've been trying to read all your other TR's but the Christmas one took me so long(which I loved!) & I fell behind!
You literally make me feel like I'm in Disney! I can't wait for my own DCP, you've inspired me to not give up on my dream, :)

As far as breakfast, Kona is an EXCELLENT choice. That and Grand Floridian Cafe are my two top favorite breakfast spots on Disney property.

As far as dinner, I have been to all of them except for Boatwrights and I have had great experiences at all of them!

I would definitely considering doing Cape May for dinner then if you don't want characters. It's such a hidden gem!

Other restaurants that I would look into are: Sci-Fi Dine In, 50's Prime Time Cafe, Beaches and Cream, (they don't take reservations there - just a walk up) and Whispering Canyon. All of them have really fun atmospheres!

And generally most places do have mac and cheese and chicken nuggets on the kids menus. Just look up the Kids menus online to make sure if you're worried!

Hope that helps!

Thanks so much! I made a dinner ADR for Cape May! We went to Whispering Canyon for lunch last year-LOVED it. Such a fun experience...we've also done TRex and Raglan Road. Def want to try the Sci Fi Dine in theater. Thank you so much for all of the suggestions! I tried to no avail to get a meal at Chef Mickeys as well as Be Our Guest. No go but that's ok, I think we have a pretty good start on ADRs :) Maybe we will stop by Coronado and say Hello :) My daughter saw me reading your TR and said that you look like Belle-her favorite princess!

Thanks so much for responding! Just got caught up on your DCP experiences, and I'm so happy for you! CSR is one of my all time favorites, so I'm glad you're enjoying the experience! Keep bringing the magic!

Wow, I missed a lot of updates. All caught up again :). Thoroughly enjoying your report. It sounds like you are having so much fun and I'm sure the experience you are gaining will serve you well in the future.

I can't thank you enough for all the TR's you have done. I have read them all and I'm following right along with this one.

We have decided to take another Disney Trip in January (we were there this past November). This time we are taking the Grandmas (my Mom and my DH's Mom). I know they are going to have a blast watching the kids enjoy themselves...my step-daughter will be 7 and my son will be just about turn 2. My DH and I took them both in November and they both had such a blast. We want the Grandmas to experience that too. My MIL hasn't been in 30 years so I know she is going to be blown away by all the changes. My mom went about 5 years ago with me, my sister and a friend of ours and she has been a number of times but this will be her first trip as a Grandma!

I'm so glad you are enjoying your DCP experience and taking full advantage of living at Disney!!! You are an amazing young lady and I'm sure you family is very proud of you.

Jess, I am LOVING your trip report! Makes me remember my best job ever (renting surf boards on waikiki beach) and how I knew every inch of that beach when I was in college. It is great to see you getting the absolute most out of your DCP.

My kids called the Garden Rest. the "magic happy food ride" because it rotated and they got to eat and see Chip and Dale!

thanks for sharing your experience with us!!!!

March 30th, 2013 - Jess and Rachelle's Adventure Day!

This morning I woke up at 10:30, got ready, and then met my friend Rachelle outside of our building! We worked front desk at Coronado together and we actually live in the same building! We were going to have an adventure today!

We went over to Magic Kingdom! We went to Tomorrowland Terrace and got some food! I got the pasta primavera with shrimp! Yummy, that's such a good dish! It's a shame that it's only available seasonally.

dsc0073rf.jpg

Rachelle got some chicken nuggets and French fries! Yummy. What a classic!

dsc0072fb.jpg

Our first ride choice today was Space Mountain! YES YES YES!!! It was so much fun! I enjoy going on this during the day because my eyes are not adjusted so I really can't see anything!

dsc0075xk.jpg

dsc0076gp.jpg

YEAH SPACE MOUNTAINNNN!

dsc0079cz.jpg

Then we walked through Fantasyland and I saw this little girl with an ice cream cone. I NEEDED ONE. I went right to Storybook Treats and got my very own vanilla cone. I was so happy!

dsc0083gf.jpg

Yay Fantasyland!

img9724r.jpg

img9725ls.jpg

Then we went over to Splash Mountain! Rachelle hasn't been on it since it reopened so we were so excited!! We got right in the front and we got SOAKED! Like moreso than any other time I have rode it.

img9727eh.jpg

I'm so dramatic.

dsc0084ls.jpg

After that it was Thunder Mountain time! We were in the third row. Then we went on Peter Pan! What classics.

Then we grabbed Rachelle a pineapple dole whip float! We walked out Main Street USA, took our picture in front of the castle, and then went back to the car!

dsc0088zet.jpg

Magic shots!

rachelle1.jpg

rachelle2t.jpg

We drove over to Hollywood Studios, parked in the Music lot, and then walked into the park! We went to Min and Bill's Dockside Diner and grabbed some (more) snacks. Rachelle got a frozen lemonade because she was so thirsty.

Then I got a hot dog in a pretzel roll. OMG it was DELICIOUS. I put mustard on it and it tasted so good. This is one of the most hidden gem snacks that I NEVER knew about... and now it's one of my favorites. I NEED TO GO GET ANOTHER ONE!!!!!

dsc0089tk.jpg

We went on Tower of Terror next! It was right before Sammie Jo's shift so she was able to join us for one quick ride!

dsc0092gk.jpg

After that we said goodbye and then headed over to Star Tours. We grabbed some fastpasses for 4:50 pm and then went to PIZZA PLANET. OMG I was so ready. It was time to get my EASTER CUPCAKE.

dsc0094k.jpg

Guys, this cupcake is just as good as it looks. First off, it's ADORABLE. Second off, there was pineapple in the middle. And third the frosting was DELICIOUS. It was all around one of the best cupcakes I have ever had in my entire life. It may be tied with the red velvet cupcake. It was so good!!!!!!!

dsc0095dg.jpg

After indulging in that perfection, it was Star Tours time! We got the Wookie planet so Rachelle was excited! It's her favorite one to get. The ride was super fun!!

Then we headed towards the park exit! We stopped in the view station to say hi to Surge really quick. Then we left and drove back to Patterson! We switched to Rachelle's car and then picked up our friend Kelsey at Chatham! Kelsey was going home to Texas for a few days so we gave her a ride to the airport.

We to MCO, said goodbye to Kelsey, then drove back. The sunset was so gorgeous!

img9735y.jpg

We went back to Hollywood Studios to spend the rest of our night there!

img9736gj.jpg

We met up with Rachelle's roommate and some of their friends.

Our first stop with them was the Tower of Terror!

dsc0099klt.jpg

Then we went over to Toy Story Mania and got in line! It took about 40 minutes to get through (even though it was near the end of the night!) and I rode with Rachelle! I ended up getting 196,200 and that was the best score in vehicle and in the hour!

After that, we headed out of the park. Rachelle drove us home and I went over to Mark's apartment and hung out with Shane.

When Mark came home we headed to Walmart. Apparently going to Walmart at 12 am was the big trend tonight because it was really crowded. We grabbed a few things and then headed back to the apartment.

I hung out at Mark's apartment and laid on the couch while the boys were playing video games. Then it was sleep time!

March 31st, 2013 (Part 1) - Easter Lunch at Mama Melrose and Countdown to Fun!

I woke up around 10 something on this lovely Easter Sunday! Then I got up and got ready to go to church! I went with my friend Tara from work. She works front desk and she actually goes to a college really close to mine! We went to the Mary Queen of the Universe Shrine. It’s SO close to our apartment buildings. Honestly we could have walked there!

We drove over and we got a parking spot and went into mass. The church was decorated beautifully with flowers and everything for Easter Sunday. The mass was absolutely WONDERFUL. The song choices were fantastic and the chorus sounded incredible. I was so impressed! Then on top of that the priest was really good and it was just an overall nice mass. I am really happy I went because I was feeling so overwhelmed with life during that week. There's just a lot to think about right now!

img9740d.jpg

img9741q.jpg

We left church and then headed over to Vista to pick up our friend Meredith. Then Tara drove us to Hollywood Studios and we went to Mama Melrose for lunch! The last time I went there was when I was a sophomore in high school, so it had really been a while!

img9747e.jpg

The restaurant atmosphere is really cute. I like it because it’s so different from anything else in Hollywood Studios.

They started us off with some delicious rolls! I LOVE THESE THINGS!

dsc0102lx.jpg

I ended up getting the chicken parm and it was SUCH a good choice. The cheese on top was really good, the sauce tasted fantastic, and the spaghetti was everything that I wanted.

dsc0103lz.jpg

Meredith got the 4-cheese flatbread that looked AMAZING. She ate the entire thing and was extremely satisfied with her choice.

dsc0105dow.jpg

Then Tara got the Mozzarella flatbread. She hates cheese except for Mozzarella so this ended up being perfect for her. She let me have a little taste and it was REALLY good! Wow, I was impressed!

dsc0104ja.jpg

We were all too full for dessert, so we headed out! From there we went to get Tower of Terror fastpasses (even though Tara is TERRIFIED of that ride!) and then Meredith grabbed a Mickey Bar! Then we went to Hollywood Boulevard and grabbed seats for PIXAR PAL’S COUNTDOWN TO FUN!

I have never seen that parade and they are actually getting rid of it on April 6th, so I had to see it before it was gone. I LOVED IT!!!!!!! I’m actually really sad they’re taking it away. (Tomorrow, April 6th, is the last run!) The soundtrack is so cute and the Pixar pals are AWESOME! There are so many unique ones in the parade that you never see!

5, 4, 3, 2, FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!

dsc0108pt.jpg

I DON’T WANNA WORK… I JUST WANNA PLAY!!!

dsc0109sr.jpg

The Incredibles!

March 31st, 2013 (Part 2) - Easter Dinner at Whispering Canyon!

IT'S TOY STORY TIME!

dsc0145ra.jpg

Oh my God, I SO wish we could meet Mr. Potato Head.

dsc0140aq.jpg

dsc0146nc.jpg

dsc0148hn.jpg

Gahh I'm sad that its going to be gone.

Hat pictures!

dsc0149os.jpg

It goes Meredith, Me, and Tara!

dsc0150wc.jpg

Ta-Da!

dsc0151oxa.jpg

After that our other friend Luis met up with us and we went over to Star Tours! The line was only 10 minutes long, which was perfect! Tara had never been on this ride before and then she ended up being THE REBEL SPY! That would happen to her. She's too funny.

Then we went over to Tower of Terror! Tara was FREAKING out because this ride terrifies her. This was only the third time she has been on it and she was so scared. She held on to Meredith and my hands throughout the entire ride and she was flailing her arms and just freaking out. I was cracking up because it was just too funny. Poor Tara. The good thing is that she survived! WOOHOO!

dsc0152do.jpg

Yup. Her face is completely covered.

dsc0153cv.jpg

Then after that we went over to Animation and Surge was working over there! We had him take our picture underneath the animation arch!

dsc0157zl.jpg

dsc0158el.jpg

Then Tara, Meredith, and I went to go wait for the Animation class! We ended up drawing Tigger and I was so excited! I love Tig because hes my Dads favorite. (: Our animator was really good. He had such a dry sense of humor and I found it hilarious.

The final product:

dsc0159i.jpg

I got a pineapple bar after that!

img9765uq.jpg

img9766r.jpg

After that we wandered back to Animation and looked in the gift shop. Mark met up with us and then we headed home!

My last view of Disney Channel Rocks ever!

img9768lw.jpg

Mark and I went up to our apartments for about an hour and a half. He skyped with his family while I took out the garbage and then called my family. I got to talk to absolutely everyone who was over at my Nana's for Easter. I was sad because this was the first Easter I have ever been away from home, but at the same time I am SO grateful and happy that I'm here. It was so good to hear from everyone and it sounds like they had a fun day. They really missed me though. I missed them too.

Then I went over to Marks apartment and we got ready to go to our Easter dinner! We drove to Wilderness Lodge and checked in for our 8:35 pm reservation at Whispering Canyon!

We were seated in a little back area away from the main part of the restaurant near a fireplace. It was so cute!

dsc0160lqi.jpg

We started off by getting AMAZING milkshakes. Mark got the chocolate one:

dsc0162dp.jpg

And I got the strawberry! I love how they're all swirly!

dsc0163wl.jpg

We also got corn bread to start which was DELICIOUS!

dsc0164x.jpg

I was aware that Whispering Canyon switched around its menu but I didn't realize how much! Now its family style and IT'S SO GOOD. I love it. You make your own family platter and you start off by picking three of the entrees and you get a bunch of sides. YUM. Then after you finish your first set of everything, you are allowed to pick either the same or new entrees for them to bring out!

We decided on the beef strip loin, pulled pork, and pork ribs. EVERYTHING tasted fantastic. I was absolutely blown away! I think the ribs were my favorite... but honestly its so hard to choose! I wish I could've eaten more!

dsc0165fz.jpg

For sides they gave us mashed potatoes, (which were the BEST!!!!) green beans, baked beans, and corn on the cob. We loved all of those too!!

dsc0167kg.jpg

dsc0166pq.jpg

I was so excited for dessert but by the end of the meal we were both so stuffed. That milkshake just filled me up so much. I guess Ill have to go back. Darn. ;)

This was a REALLY good dinner. I absolutely love the menu changes! Two thumbs way up!

We headed back home after dinner. I went over to his apartment again and worked on trip report stuff! I hung out with the guys until like 3 am and then headed to bed!

CTF isn't as good as BPB. But I'm going to miss it though (and should hopefully be there tomorrow)

April 1st-4th, 2013

April 1st, 2013

I was going to get up and go to Magic Kingdom this morning so I had my alarm set for 9:45 am, however I was just way too tired to get ready.

I went over to Mark's instead. Everyone was pretty much just sitting in the living room watching Disney Junior/Disney Channel all morning. It was actually hilarious. We watched like... Doc McStuffins, Good Luck Charlie, and Ant Farm. For some reason, I was very entertained. Because I'm a 5 year old, obviously.

Then I had to work from 2:30-10:30 pm.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

April 2nd, 2013

Today I worked the 1:30 pm-9:30 pm shift and hung out at Mark's after work.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

April 3rd, 2013 - Work-Life-Disney Balance

This morning I woke up at 8 o'clock and got ready to go to Magic Kingdom with Surge! We drove over there and headed over only to see a MASSIVE wall of people entering the park. It's casual.

We got through bag check surprisingly quickly. We had a mission to complete: GET BREAKFAST. So we went to the Tomorrowland Terrace and both got croissant breakfast sandwiches. WOW. Those were absolutely fantastic. I would glady go back for another one in a heartbeat. It just really hit the spot!

dsc0168fw.jpg

Once we finished eating, we headed over to Splash Mountain! Unfortunately the ride was broken down. We just decided to fastpass it and we got return times for 11:30 am.

From there we went to the Haunted Mansion because obviously its the best. Its Surges #1 top favorite attraction of all time. He was telling me the differences between this one and the Disneyland one. Although I do remember going on the one in California, the details are so fuzzy to me because it was so long ago.

During the room with the hidden Donald duck chair, I mentioned how it reminds me of this old computer came I used to play called Virtual Magic Kingdom (VMK) and SURGE USED TO PLAY VMK TOO. OH MY GOD. Obviously, this is why we were meant to be friends. Good stuff. VMK was life.

We were going to go on Pirates after that but there was a 45 MINUTE WAIT. I couldn't do it.

So from there we went over to the PeopleMover! There was a bit of a line but it moved super quickly. I passed the time by jamming out to the tunes of the Tomorrowland Daytime Dance Party.

The ride stopped a few times. It actually stopped while we were on the escalator because they had to let a guide-dog off of the ride. (Omg if I was a dog I would be so excited to go on the PeopleMover) Also, it just stopped while we were on the ride in general... probably because of crowds and transfers and stuff. I ended up falling asleep pretty soundly for about 50% of the ride. It was funny. I don't think Surge knew what to do with me. But frump life so...

dsc0169oc.jpg

After that we went over and rode Splash Mountain! We got in the back and it was a lovely ride! This family in front of us had their little video camera on a stick out recording so Surge was like oh yay, we are going to be part of their Splash Mountain Adventure! Yup. We so were.

Then I was hungry. SURPRISE! The crowds were so bad but we headed to Pecos Bill and got in line. I got a fantastic burger and fries as usual. I absolutely love Pecos.

dsc0170ca.jpg

After that we went into Adventureland to avoid the parade route and we got Mickey Bars!!!! YUMMY! I swear, Mickey Bars NEVER get old. They were so refreshing because it was getting hot out.

dsc0171gv.jpg

Then we left the park. We went to the Polynesian so I could grab some food from Captain Cooks for my lunch. We talked to a DVC guy there for a while because I traded for some pins and we just got into the conversation. His name was Jeff and I realized AFTER we talked that he was the same DVC guy I talked to when I was at Art of Animation with Preston! What a coincidence.

I grabbed an uncrustable and some pineapple for my dinner from Captain Cooks, then I headed to work and Surge headed to Epcot. I got to work a little bit early so I chilled in my car for about 30 beautiful and relaxing minutes. I had to take a picture in my PhilharMagical shirt:

img9798vj.jpg

Then I went into work and went over to the Concierge desk!

It started raining outside and I just realized how beautiful Coronado looks when its raining. I may have an emotional connection to it because it reminds me of the August frump trip when it started raining and we were staying there. It just gave me a wonderful, nostalgic feeling!

We all got ears tonight, too! Since we did earn them, after all!

img9801bd.jpg

img9802t.jpg

I am just so incredibly happy about my life right now.

img9800o.jpg

I left at 11:10 pm and dropped Veronica back at The Commons. I went home and had a snack. Then I cleaned my disastrous room for inspection tomorrow! I ended up talking to my friend Alicia from home for about 2 hours, too! It was so good to hear from her and we finally caught up after so many months. She is SO happy for me and she thinks I'm exactly where I need to be!

Then I ended up falling asleep around 3 am! Good night!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

April 4th, 2013

First off, today was Peppers 13th birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PEP!!! I miss my doggy so, so much. :(

I went to Publix this morning and then worked from 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm.

April 5th, 2013 (Part 1) - UNIVERSAL!

This morning was a BIG day! I was finally, after 19 years, going to UNIVERSAL STUDIOS!!! People have always asked me my whole entire life, have you ever been to Universal? Have you ever been to Universal? And now I can finally say YES I HAVE!

I got up around 7:20 am, got ready, and Mark and I went downstairs to meet up with Rachelle for our big day! Rachelle drove us all to Universal and we parked in the Cat in the Hat section!

We arrived a little bit before 9 am and headed right to Islands of Adventure!

dsc0172ud.jpg

With our passes in hand, we headed inside of the park! BIG SURPRISE - our first stop was none other than Harry Potter World!

dsc0175ze.jpg

Now, for those of you who don't know - I have never read Harry Potter and I have never watched Harry Potter.

However, I promise you, the experience of going to Harry Potter World was NOT wasted on me. I would much rather be in the middle of Hogwarts than watch it on a screen, ya know what I mean? YAY FOR IMMERSIVE THEME PARK EXPERIENCES!

dsc0177nl.jpg

I have to say, this place was INCREDIBLE. Out of everything at Universal, Harry Potter World definitely was the best themed and offered the best quality. I was blown away. It was beautiful and I literally felt like I was there.

dsc0176dy.jpg

dsc0178jr.jpg

We went STRAIGHT to Forbidden Journey and got in line. The line said 120 minutes but we got in line anyway. We figured the line would get much longer later on.

dsc0179dm.jpg

The queue honestly went by SO fast. I had so much energy and patience at that point in the day so I was all about it. The queue moved CONSTANTLY and the theming was VERY well done. I loved when we got inside and there were video clips of the characters telling us about what was ahead. It was too cool.

dsc0182tb.jpg

We got on the ride after 1 hour and 40 minutes. I literally had NO idea what to expect so I was just getting on this thing and seeing what would happen!

img9835wx.jpg

Heh heh. No Muggles. :rotfl:

img9836n.jpg

I think the best way to explain it is that the ride vehicle is similar to the Soarin ride vehicle, but there are only 4 people across. It goes through different scenes with a combination of animatronics and screens showing clips with AMAZING quality clips taking you on the adventure. The ride vehicle tilts to go along with you flying and moving to each stage. At some points you are lying flat on your back, during others you are tilting forward, etc. The technology behind it was INCREDIBLE. There is not another ride like this anywhere. I was completely blown away and beyond impressed. IT WAS SUCH A COOL RIDE.

Personally, I think Disney should make an Aladdin version of this ride through the Cave of Wonders. I think Universal owns the rights to the ride design for a few more years though.

After our long wait we were HUNGRY! So we went to the Three Broomsticks! They had some REALLY great options!

dsc0184wp.jpg

dsc0185nx.jpg

I ended up getting the fish and chips which were FANTASTIC. The fish was AMAZING. I was so happy with my decision.

dsc0189er.jpg

They did have some incredible looking mac and cheese here on the kid's menu... so maybe that'll have to be next time.

I also got FROZEN BUTTER BEER! Guys, I wish I could accurately explain this to you but I just can't. Its so difficult to describe but it is REALLY delicious. It has a butterscotch flavor and its just unlike anything else I have ever had! I really liked the frozen version a lot compared to the cold. I am not a big pop person so I liked that it wasn't carbonated but rather had an icy texture! YUM!

dsc0191th.jpg

Rachelle got the ribs for her lunch and they were REALLY good! She let me try them because I was torn between Fish and Chips and ribs, and honestly both of the meals were fantastic!

dsc0186cp.jpg

She got the cold Butter Beer which is the one she prefers! I guess it just depends on your taste. She let me try this as well!

dsc0190st.jpg

Then Mark got the ribs and chicken plate! He was REALLY impressed with this! He especially liked the corn!

dsc0187zrf.jpg

After that we went on the Dragon Challenge! Its a big roller coaster where your feet are dangling. The line was only about 15 minutes so we hopped in! We went on the ice side/the blue track. I was kicking my legs like a 5 year old throughout the whole thing because my feet were just dangling there. It ended up being super fun! There was a big drop and some loops and I came off feeling a little disoriented! Success!

dsc0192hw.jpg

Then it was time to move on. WHAT A CUTE SNOWMAN!

img9839ai.jpg

Bye Harry Potter World!

dsc0193gx.jpg

Then we wandered out of Harry Potter World and went over to the Jurassic Park ride!

dsc0194kz.jpg

dsc0196kug.jpg

The Jurassic Park theme music is played throughout the queue and it is so catchy! The 3-D release was actually today - what a coincidence! We were in the second row for this ride. I sat in the middle so I didn't get wet at all, thankfully. I don't know how I avoided that!

dsc0201qf.jpg

This ride was really cool! I liked the whole storyline of it and the build up. I loved when you climb up the HUGE hill but its still not the drop yet. However, there was only ONE drop during the entire ride. That surprised me!

BAHAHA! WHAT A FANTASTIC PUN!

This shirt just reminded me that they need to make a "Frumposaur" t-shirt.

Photo Op!

LOOK! PIZZAFARI! Wait, what?

This is Photopass, right?

Then we kept walking through and we passed Popeye and Olive Oyl! Mark quickly bought an autograph book and we got in line to meet them!

Anyway, Popeye and Olive were super cute! I loved talking to them!

Then Dr. Doom was out in the Marvel section of the park! It was SO funny meeting him because when Mark and Rachelle went up to go get his autograph, these two kids tried butting in before we took the photo. So Dr. Doom said in this completely low and monotonous voice "THEY'RE TRYING TO TAKE A PICTURE." And it was hilarious because that's the only thing he said the entire time. It totally threw us off.

After that we went on The Hulk! I was SUPER scared for it because it looks terrifying! They shoot you up and you immediately go into a corkscrew! I didn't know how I was going to handle that but it was actually really fun! It was not as bad as I was expecting. There were some huge drops in there too! I think I'm becoming quite the roller coaster junkie.

Then we went on Dr. Dooms Fear Fall!

dsc0210tu.jpg

The drops aren't even the scary part... the initial launch SHOOTS you straight up into the air! IT WAS SO COOL!

After that we were hungry again! We went to the pizza place because I was CRAVING pizza. Rachelle and I both got pepperoni!

Mark got the meatball sub and some cheesecake two of his favorite foods!

After that we made our last stop at Islands of Adventure - SPIDERMAN! This ride... WOW. The technology behind this was insane. You were basically in a ride vehicle like Dinosaur but the simulation was very similar to Star Tours PLUS MORE. Wow, I was in love. I have to say, Universal has some FANTASTIC ride technology. This and Harry Potter blew my mind because they were so different from the norm!
