I'm trying to get an idea of something that I could start collecting when I go to Disney. The past time that I have gone I bought frames but they are to big to continue collecting. Dose anyone have any ideas.

There are pins or pressed pennies--those are plenty small.

My disney collection is ornaments. I started out with one .... and now well it's an obsession. Everytime I go I can't wait to find a beautiful new one.

I have collected the coffee mugs for years, they used to have these really neat same size mugs with the Disney movies on them. I have them on racks above my cabinets. My favorite is the Bambi one:sunny:

We like collecting the pressed pennies. I also started collecting antenna toppers last year.

mickey2000, your room blows me away! It's awesome!!! ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

mickey2000

my mouth dropped... it hit the floor i have never seen anything like it. thats just amazing!

Mickey2000...Holy Cow! What an incredible room!

On my past two trips I started a small collection of die-cast replicas of ride vehicles. So far I have POTC, HM, Kali, and Kilamanjaro. I'm hoping to get more when I go this Sept.

I also finally succumbed to the pin collecting vius on my last trip. But in order to limit myself, I'm only collecting Villian pins. Needless to say, I get some strange looks from cast members and guests for that one! ;)

MICKEY2000...GREAT ROOM!!!!!::MickeyMo

I COLLECT PINS & ON PAST FEW TRIPS DOWN...MONORAIL MODEL PIECES. THE MONORAIL & HOTELS HAVE REPLACED MY TRAIN UNDER THE CHRISTMAS TREE.

AND ITS MUCH EASIER TO PUT UP & GET DOWN!

:earsboy:

Magnets are also fun and inexpensive to collect. I like to get ones from the different resorts and I love my monorail one that "talks".

I also collect pins, die cast vehicles and the beanies. -Stephanie

Mickey2000 - Now that I picked my mouth up off the floor, .

You are a collector after my own heart. I can't wait to show my husband the pictures now he can never say that I have enough Disney things.

What is your favorite thing you have?????

Thanks everyone else for your suggestions keep them coming!!!!!

I have a good ole' fashion charm bracelet that I have added a new charm to each year. I usually get the charm that says what year it is (ie...2004). They didn't have one in 2003, which made me kinda sad, because they had one in 2002 and now in 2004! It is a nice little reminder that I was at Disney that year and it is a small souvenior to bring back!

We do pins. I have antenna toppers too.

Mickey2000, I want your framed 2001 resort pin collection - Actually just the frame & mats, I have the pins. LOL Saw that the year it came out and it wasn't in our budget. So found a pic on ebay and have collected all the pins that are in the frame. Now just to get some one to cut the mat for it.

We are going to DL this summer and I took pics of our pins to put in something small to be able to carry. I had a small wallet sized photo album and made pics that size and it works great. Pics big enough to see but not too big & bulky to carry.

My DH collects the monorail toys.

We collect pins, magnets, mugs, and beach towels. Beach towels don't work for the OP's frame idea, but we love tthem. All our mugs are lined up on top of the kitchen cabinets and look really cute.

Myself I collect ornaments but am going to start a collection for my dd of snowglobes and charms for a charm bracelet when we go in September. It will be her first trip and my ds's second. (he, like his father are into superheros so not too much to add to his collection at disney):earsboy:

I always get an ornament--but it has to say the year.

This year, I also bought some pins. I liked the quality for the price. They seem like they will last for a long time. And they were easy to pack! They made great gifts, too!

I was going to do a charm bracelet this year, and never could decide what I wanted. Maybe next time.

I collect disney teapots. They used to be easier to find. I have around 15 different designs and they are displayed around my kitchen.
