Disney Collections?

and after vowing we wouldn't start... the Olszewski miniatures. We've bought 11 large pieces and about 6 of the accessory packs. In the last 8 months. Honestly, it would be cheaper if we both developed a nasty crack habit. :scared:

:

Ive said this before too. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

"I think it'd be cheaper if I was doing crack....and a lot of crack, at that!"

I have alot of 'MARX" disney toys from the 60's!
:cool1:

Oh! So COOL! My husband came across a Mr Mercury on a service call and asked the home owner if he wanted to sell it. The man said as long as my husband gave it a good home, he could HAVE it! My husband about fainted.

He made him his own little display case.

WOW

That is soooooooo flippen great!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 I have lotsa of 60' toys (even though that was before my time:rolleyes1 ) I use to restore them. I also have a immense View Master collection too!

I LOVE snowglobes, and have been collecting them for some tiem. My Peter Pan one (with the pirate ship) is my favorite.

We have a Disney room (our spare bedroom), like many posters do. In it is a plethora of Disney figurines and knick knacks, art work, concept art, and som neat Disney company literature framed on the wall. We also have a bedspread from the Contemporary Resort in that room, and in our master bedroom we have the bedspread from the Poly and the headboard from the Poly.

I know - it was so funny when he came home that day, the way he ran in like a kid!

It was an old man - Jimmy actually has that happen to him often. Old people tend to like him, and want to make sure their stuff isnt sold in an estate sale when they die. No kidding.

pins - I have over 700, DD has about 100.

magnets and antenna toppers - about 50 or so each.

DD also collects pressed pennies and keychains.

DH collects "angry Donald".

I have some older stuff from trips in the 70's that I have held onto, but I wish I had everything from back then!!!!

Beauty and the Beast stuff. Of all sorts. We have so much that we have a seperate collectible rider on our home owners insurance for it. I am sort of embarrased to admit that--- but I figure if anyone will get a Disney addiction it is all of you!

I collect dust bunnies. Lots of em. They mostly are stored under my bed. And if you look at them right, they are sorta in the shape of mickey mouse.

Does that count? :confused3

Disney is all over my house.
Outside I have a Mickey wreath I made in that rattan stuff and a Mickey figure by the front door. Inside my mom and her best friend helped sponge Mickey icons all over my kitchen walls, I made drawer knobs with Mickey on them, the chandelier over my dining room table is Mickey, the dishes in my china cabinet are the Disney Christmas ones. My bed has a bed spread from AKL, the night stand is from WL. I have a framed blueprint of the MK from when it was being built, my dad was sent to help with the construction. I have a big figure of Mickey on my fireplace, a print of the Andy Warhol Mickey on a shelf in my living room. I have a Mickey lampshade from DCL boat.
I have a curio full of Disney things.
Believe it or not, Disney does not slap you in the face when you come in my house. Most people see one item, then notice another, then another...

My office is Disney-themed!!!! I have a lot of stuff and I try to make it look good and tidy. I don't want to be THAT person who is just crammed with things. I've had now two people I don't know come by just because they heard of what I've done. I wish there was a competition of office decorators.

~I collect Ursula things. I have the WDCC pieces, the Lenox piece, all pins I can get my hands on, a signed cel by Pat Carroll, a coffee mug, various toys, a pencil holder, etc. Getting the coffee mug was hard! There isn't a lot of just Ursula stuff out there, so this is fun.

~I also collect Shag items. I have six handbags signed. (two each of the tiki rooms, one to save, one to carry), the Shag carry-on bag with the Disneyland artwork, many signed artpieces, and a non-Disney Shag print #1. The handbags are safe at home, the artwork except the non-Disney one is in my office.

~I collect original posters from the Pirates movies. All I need is the teaser from #1. I can find it online, but I want a really, really good one without holes. I have them framed nicely and they hang in my office at work. Several people at work have tried to move them to the public hallways, so I had to make sure people knew they were my personal property and not just office decorations.

~Pins. I used to go pin crazy, but I ran out of room. I now have one giant Disney bag full (the pin bags where they are kept nicely) but I now only collect pins that are LE under 500 or Ursula pins, or CM only pins.

~Photos: I have over 15 ride photos/Disney photographer photos of us and friends on rides. All of these are framed in the same style frame and are also in my office.

I have more stuff, too. I am babysitting Mr. Piratato from engineering. They tell me he wanted to visit the other pirate stuff, so he's here hanging out with me for the week,

Movies. :) Animated and live action. Although, I don't have any of the preschool stuff. I also collect all the Walt Disney Treasures DVD's.

Otherwise, I have just odds and ends. Lithos from the dvd sales in the stores, a Mickey mug, a couple books on films, childrens stories and WDW. A few pins here and there. Nothing much.

This is my obsession I mean collection. It really started out with just wanting a pin with the year on it. Then I thought why not get one for each park and so on. I can't imagine how big it would be if we were able to get to the parks more. This is only from 4 WDW trips and 3 DCL cruises. Lord help me after during this next trip! I love seeing those really big collections but they make my DH nervous!

Pins and the Precious Moments figurines. I have non-Disney PM's too so there are quite a lot of them. Christmas ornaments and other stuff but they only come out at Christmas time.

I recently bought one of the Disney Precious Moments (the little girl in the mouseketeer shirt since it's retired now and I had to have it...plus I think it was the cheapest one! LOL!) Some of them are soooo cute (not only the Disney ones, the others too) but they're so expensive! I'd really love to get the new Alice In Wonderland one.

Here are some of my pins...I don't have a really creative way to display them so I just put them on ribbons instead of buying more lanyards (I've got 2 full lanyards and then these ribbons).
