What do you collect? Or what keepsakes do you have?

I have these super dooper cool antique shelves my husband got for me. Theyre those ones with the glass panel doors, and you lift the door up, and then slide it in the top.... what are they called??? ANyways...

Theyre filllllled with Disney knick-knackies. I have snow-globes around the house and pictures, and all sorts of stuff. I wanna post pics - but my camera batteries were low. That was my whole intention of this thread.... But tomorrow I will...

Ill pick up anything I see. Garage Sales - anywhere. I love getting old Disney stuff. Makes me giddy! They have this cool exhibit at EPCOT right now, featuring a lot of old EPCOT souveniers. One of the items was one of those hard, rubbery plastic banks....with Figment holding the EPCOT Ball. I was like 'THATS IN MY SHELF!!!'

SO lets see your stash! And tell me about it - so you collect anything, or select things?

Hmmm...I collect pretty much anything Disney! I have a couple of cels, Walt Disney Classics Collection pieces, snowglobes, stuffed animals, purses, pictures, pens, pencils, books...the list could go on and on!

No pictures, but I LOVE collecting anything Disney!

Antenna toppers! I probably have about 50 of them. Some of them I use and some I don't. We also have several Disney one-sheets (movie posters) framed hand hanging in our playroom, as well as some other Disney prints and artwork...nothing expensive, just stuff we like.

Oh dear... this is our weakest spot. We actively collect:

*Cinderella, Tinker Bell, Goofy & Pluto WDCC pieces
*Cels
*James Coleman and Peter Ellenshaw giclees (castle themes only)
*Jim Shore pieces

and after vowing we wouldn't start... the Olszewski miniatures. We've bought 11 large pieces and about 6 of the accessory packs. In the last 8 months. Honestly, it would be cheaper if we both developed a nasty crack habit.

Then, anything that strikes our fancy at the moment. We're drowning in Disney!

I collect glass Dopey figurines. The price tag must be under $50 though, since I am a grad student. This price limit is a bit sad for me, since there have been a couple of really nice pieces for $99. ::sigh::

We collect Pooh and Friends figurines and a variety of other Disney Figurines and stuff. We keep them in a tall curio cabinet in our bedroom and also in a built-in lighted cabinet in our "Pooh" bathroom. My Dh likes to call it 'our place of Pooh', LOL.

I have lots of Disney items, like towels, clothes, housewares, pens, ...
But I also have a lot of "real collectibles".
- I have a rather large collection of WDCC. I buy the membership pieces (started with the Snow White one), and next to that I limit myself to Mickey-Minnie and the Princesses.
- I have the Swarovski Mickey and Minnie
- Some misc collectibles, like the Partners statue, the 75 years of memories one, ..., and misc Mickey-Minnie figurines from the parks (only if it are "nice" ones)
- I have some frames/ framed pin sets.
- I have some pins but am not really into it.
- My brother gave me a piece of a "new" collection they are now selling in Belgium, but I have seen it in the US before. It's Mickey and Santa and they are looking at a letter/ list. It looks like it's mad eof wood, but it isn't. It could be a Jim Shore collection, but am not sure about it.

Once everything gets moved to the new appartment, I'll post pictures.

OK, I forgot to reply on the quote: then just save twice as long and get the nice/ expensive one That's what I did in the beginning.


I also forgot to add that I collect watches, I have 6 Disney watches, among which 2 LEs.

I have a few pins, mostly backstage and tour pins and pins for rides that are no longer in existance.

Some pictures that I have taken or others I have bought.

But my only real collection is disney knives. The davy crocket ones, some that say disneland or tinkerbell. two or three from worlds fair(s).

But no pics yet, sorry.
