Disney.co.uk & US res number

Oh good - 2 more UK DISers are in. I thought everyone was out for the fireworks tonight

we were out till my daughter threw up twice and we gave up and came home. luckily we were only at a family firework party thing

We had our gutters along the roof cleaned last weekend. Enter torrential rain and it emerges that the 'dirt' was serving as a seal - there is a waterfall of constant water pouring down from the damaged guttering. Where? RIGHT OVER THE FRONT DOOR! Of course you can't just duck in as you have to stan there and fiddle with keys and it is pouring down with such force that it literally blasts off an umbrella and hits anything in a 1 m radius.

I decided to stay in and stick to discussing reservation numbers on the DIS instead. ;)

Oh no!!! There is always something isnt there!!!

Lol, what happened with all our quotes? I was so confused for a moment :rotfl::lmao:

Oh I am used to being confused :goodvibes

So you were the only one who knew what was going on then? ;)

Never mind, I posted earlier on here that I will phone tomorrow, thinking Disney UK is closed. But it's Disney in the US I will be phoning anyway for dining so I could just do it tonight. Too tired now. I will post what they say to me if nobody else has shed some light on it by then.

Thanks for the info I too need my 12 digit number after booking through Disney UK. I have emailed the last email address on the thread so will see if they come back to me.

When you have your 12 digit number who do you contact for room requests?

Thank you

For Rooms , I normally contact customer services via the phone (US) they make notes on your booking page, I then email and fax the actual resort hotel about 7 days before we are due to arrive @ DW... Seems to have worked ok the 2 times that way for me.... :thumbsup2

Got response, now have US res numbers and they have linked reservations so hopefully get 2 studios close by each other.
No idea why Disney US couldn't help, they should have at least forward my email to the relevent dept, I think its pretty poor/lazy saying they can't help.

Good for you. Did you get a response through email?

They don't forward the emails. I discovered last year that some of the CMs in the US had no idea there is even a UK office  The simply replied to the email and gave another email address, only for the same thing to happen. When is your first batch of ADRs up for booking?

Yes I got resonse from the 1st one I tried wdwdrcwdtcuk@email.disney.com

6th Feb is 180 days to check in. Just get them done in time for Valentines day and our trip on the 19th.:goodvibes

well done, Wayne, so just a few days to plan this years ADRs then:rotfl2:

Are you onsite in Feb too?

Are you onsite in Feb too?

No, offsite. Doubt we will be going into Disney at all. Although we are enjoying onsite dining we are missing eating at our usual offsite places, already have a list where we want to eat in Feb, cheesecake factory:cloud9: 1st on that list.

Seen a reasonable price at this hotel which gets very good reviews (never knew it was there) includes breakfast & internet for £35/night/room http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_...Express_Lake_Buena_Vista-Orlando_Florida.html

it's a hidden gem that one, the pool area is so much better than it should be for the price, and like the fact that it's walking distance to some nice restaurants too...

cheesecake factory, now we're talking...we went twice in a week over half term..the second time I only ordered an appetiser (no entree) in the hope I'd manage a pud...no such luck, had to share it with my 10 year old, LOL.

How easy was that?

Not being one to sit around waiting for something on my to-do list :rotfl: I phoned Disney UK, went straight through, asked for my US reservation no and the lovely CM said "Sure, would you like the 12 digit and the alpha-numerical number?"
"Yes please."

"Here you go."

Phone call less than 4 minutes.

Just goes to show it depends who you talk to. :cool2:

Both the alpha-numeric and 12 digit should work for online ADR's
I say should, but last year I got both to work for a few days and then the alpha-numeric stopped working for no reason :confused3
I have emailed UK but not had a reply yet :thumbsup2

They sent me the Alpha-numeric numbers to start with so I email straight back to get the 12 digit numbers as I want both to make sure I can access everything I want with no problems.

The email I have got back looks as though its gone from one person to another, difficult to understand the attitude the 1st part is written with (maybe I should not have seen that bit) but seems a bit off to me.:rotfl:

"Hello,

The 8 digit number is all guests needs to book dine via web. However, aim to please. So….please send the following reply:

Dear Wayne,

It is our experience that the 8 digit numbers provided work just as well as the 12 digits. There is no reason not to provide both.
