Anyone contacted them recently and had success?

For past 2 years I have gone to Disney.com and sent a message thru contact us included all my details and they have sent my US reservation numbers no problem after a day or 2.
Tried again for next August, taken them 5 days to reply to say they can't help, ring Disney UK(below)
Strange as they have done it twice before for me.
I have googled and found a UK email address (wdwdrcwdtcuk@email.disney.com) so now tried this, can't believe the only contact they advertise is a phone number.

We are sorry, but this Email Department does not have access to
UK reservations such as yours. Please contact the UK Walt Disney Travel
Company at 0870 2424 900 for further assistance with your reservations.

Thank you again for writing.

Sorry to jump on your thread Wayne, How mant digits should your US DW reservation number have ???

We booked through Complete Orlando for next year and they emailed a 12 digit reservation number a few weeks ago i assume this is the
US number we will need.....?

This is taken from a thread on another forum, Wayne, but don't know whether the info is still current, let me know if it doesn't work please so that I can change the info in our sticky

Getting your 12 digit no. for online ADRs 180+10
If you are staying onsite, you'll need a 12 digit US no. to be able to get the benefit of being able to book 10 days of ADRs at your 180 day mark. The number you need is numbers only ie. 12345 etc. There is also a US reservation number with letters in it, but this is for your accommodation.

You can calculate what the 180 day mark is by using this tool, remember to put month/day and the day displayed will be in the same format:

http://pscalculator.net/pscalc.php

if you have booked through Disney, you can email for your 12 digit reservation number or phone.

Disney email:

WDW.DRC.WDTC.UK@disney.com
customer.support.london@disney.co.uk

and disney usa

http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/contact/

Or you can call 08442009595/0844 200 9090 for 0.5p per minute calls to USA or 0844 86 186 86 for 1p per minute calls (do check when you get through that this is the rate as the numbers change occasionally)

and then when prompted 0014079393463 (Disney dining).

Others have reported success using the Disney UK site, as follows:

If you dial Disney UK (0870 2424900) and press option 3, you will be connected to a US cast member straight away rather than having to go through the questions on the US Phone No.

You need to give your name and date of arrival at the resort. you then ask for the 12 digit confirmation number for making online bookings/ADRs and the date you will be able to make them (ie. 180 day mark).

I made a reservation through Disney UK on Sunday and thought I would do as before and get my US res no at the same time. She said they can't give it to me. I assumed I should just phone back and speak to someone else as this happens from time to time. In fact, the CM had no idea what I was talking about and this was not the UK office, this was in the US (non flight bookings).:confused3 I wonder if they changed the system and separated the UK and US systmes completely.

See Ruths post, 12 digits:thumbsup2

I wonder if they changed the system and separated the UK and US systmes completely.
There has been a few updates of the system so its possible, or someone who has replied to my message hasn't a clue what they are doing, anythings possible with Disney.:goodvibes

Thanks Ruth, I looked at the booking site, confirmation emails and invoices, all had a phone number but no email contact, will see if they reply over next few days.

When I emailed asking for my number (this was at the start of the year) I emailed several times to several departments.

I used the "contact us form" on disney.com and kept filling in different "areas of enquiry" on the form (i.e sent the same question to "dining questions", to "ticketing questions" one to "general questions" etc). I think I sent it to 4 different areas, and two answered with the number, two said they couldn't give it to me! So bombard them and someone will help!!!

Just had a quick look - "current reservation" email address wouldn't help, just referred me to disney UK; "online ticket order questions" email address DID respond with the answer, so try that one :goodvibes

Thanks Sonya, I will give my current attempt a few days if I don't hear anything or don't get what I want I will try every option available, they will be sick of getting them in the end.:goodvibes

It would be fun if you could get the system to re-send the email every 10 minutes automatically until you select to stop it

you don't really need the number for anything do you. i rang today and booked my 10 days and they just found my reservation and booked onto it

No you dont need it if you phone. You also don't need it if you don't necessarily care about making your first 10 days' reservations for meals on the 180th day out. But to do the latter, or to use the online ADR system, you do need this number.

Did you get everything you wanted?

lol yes just replied on the other thread. cm found our reservation without number. just put our details in thought it was easier to ring so i could book 10 days worth

I just saw your other reply. :) So you called the dining reservation no. in the US and they found your 12 digit number? Did they give it to you or did they just say they had it and then made your ADRs?

For my last trip I rang to book my ADRs and didn't bother to get my USA res number, the first CM I talked to found my booking no problem and I booked 10 days worth of ADRs. I ring the next day to book day 11, could the CM find my booking, no, I was on the phone for a stupid amount of time to make 1 ADR, in the end she found it so I made sure she told me the res number so that when I rang back the next day i'd be ok, its a good job I have free calls to America or i'd have been very angry. I just couldn't understand how 1 CM did it with no problems and the other couldn't do it.

Firstly I hate using the phone, I can talk face to face all night, I have been known to do a 10 mile round trip to make a dental app to avoid using making a call. I also hate ringing Disney, they can't understand me, I can't hear or understand them. Strange but thats me.:rotfl2:

I called to do my 2009 reservations, almost 90 mins on the phone to do 10 ressies, almsot 20 mins just for them to find my US res number, it was a nightmare.

2010 did online, sooo easy. plus you get an email confirmation of each one and very easy to change, as we did many times, changed 2 while we were there on the laptop.

Oh good - 2 more UK DISers are in. I thought everyone was out for the fireworks tonight

I love getting email confirmations for my ADRs. It also means if you want to retrieve a reservation you can just find the confirmation message, copy and paste the email into the space and call it up. :)

Hi Wayne,

I had the same trouble when I emailed US Disney for my reservation number back in March. Their first reply stated they didn't have access to UK reservations.

I replied, somewhat snootily that I certainly hoped that Disney in the US had a record of my booking otherwise how could a room be reserved for me. I then suggested that they seek further guidance from a supervisor. That did the trick and I had a lovely reply from a supervisor (a lady called Ann Polson at WDW Online Communications) apologising for the misinformation I had been given and confirmation that they did indeed supply UK guests with their 12 digit reservation number, along with, of course, my 12 digit number :)

I think I might give them a ring tomorrow and see. Thanks for the heads up. Not a big deal as I am only doing a few ADRs next year, but I do like to use it to call up my reservation on the disney.com website.

Yes I got mine via email in August. Can't remember which I emailed through . I will go and trawl my sent folder :)
