Now that I am down to the last hours before they shut this down, I am trying to decide whether to renew my Disney Club membership.

As I have a January cycle, it will cost me $27.45 for 2003. I know I can get the Disney magazine for under $9, so I am trying to figure out what the more than $18.45 is really going to get me. I won't be back in WDW until November. I have a DVC membership, so I still get the discounts at the DS.

I am leaning against signing up again. Can anyone give me a reason to re-up?

Thanks... Paul

I should also add, that we found rates cheaper elsewhere for rentals (Dollar) than through the DC. Not talking a few bucks either. It was around $250 less for a minivan from Dollar than National! So, the car rental part isn't any value (at least it wasn't last time :) )

I renewed mine so that I will have the new card and DD will get to have the old one!

How much does one save on the tickets. I buy the Florida Seasonal ones and I can not remember.

It cost me $27 to renew (need another card which is an additional 10.00), but we are cruising Dec 2003 and I need the card for the $50 stateroom credit, discounts on room before we cruise, and need it for that shopping trip to DTD, so I justified the $27.00

We don't belong to the DVC, so the DC is the only discount we get.

I'm a DVC member, too, and I just renewed my DC membership yesterday. We don't have a Disney Store near us, so I do quite a bit of ordering online and use the DC discount there. Also, we have a trip planned for next December, and I intend to use it at Downtown Disney as well.

For me, it made sense. Your mileage may differ.

I renewed mine. I paid a little less than $10 but I only had 4 months not covered in my current yr. I have more than got my monies worth out of the dc. I saved 10% at TDS a few times. I was at WDW in Sept and Dec--saved 10% at Planet hollywood and saved 10% at World of Disney. I also go to go free with 3 family members to screening of Santa Claus II and Treasure Planet.
