Disney classes

Hi everyone!
Im plannin on applying for Fall Advantage 2013 (i know its a ways out but im a planner!!) I'm looking for info on the classes u can take while doing the CP. For those of u that have taken some which ones did u take? Did u enjoy them? Was there alot of homework or out of class work? Was it worth it even though u are busy all of the time?? I'm currently in a VERY HARD Professional lab tech program to finish out my degree and will be pretty burned out on school by the time I (Hopefully) go to Disney. But I don't want to pass up a great opportunity for fun classes

I haven't taken one, but from my friends' experiences they are awesome. Especially (I can't remember exactly which series it is, but I think it's the Exploration series) the ones that are designed to be more interactive and lively instead of just learn from a classroom. My best friend took Disney Heritage and he got to do and learn SO MANY FUN THINGS, like a scavenger hunt at Hollywood Studios once.

I loved my Marketing You class. While there were times I wish I was out having fun, professionally that class was totally worth it. The experience and lessons learned from that class have been very worthwhile.

How much outside the classroom work do the classes usually require?

I took Exploring Marketing and loved it. There was no homework with it, it was just a two hour class that met once a week for 8 weeks. In each of the classes there was a guest speaker from various parts of the company that talked about different areas like brand marketing, Special Events (food and wine, holiday parties, flower and garden, etc.), Disney Vacation Club, Disney Cruise Line, etc.

Does anyone have a list of the classes and what they are about? I'm a planner too and I really want to go for my mouseters or ducktorate

I got both a mousters and a ducktorate while on my 2 CPs. If no one else comes and posts a list, I will do so when I get home and dig it out. I took Disney Heritage the first time. If David is still teaching it he is amazing, and even though I knew most of the stuff already, I got to see some new things that were totally worth it to me. Plus, the tour through MK and the scavenger hunt at DHS were great. I don't remember any homework for that class. In the Spring I took Creativity and Innovation, and it's one of the best classes I've ever taken. This one had a few hours of homework a week, with a final group project, and really inspired me to think differently and express my creativity. Such a great class.

I am very interested in taking Disney Heritage after everyones post. I know it fills up fast but when are u able to sign up? After u find out ur accepted? Or at checkin? Also how do u earn a Mousters and ductorate? What's the difference? I am so excited about the possibility of going to Disney. It sometimes the only thing getting me through these classes on really overwhelming days hahaha.

I can't remember exactly when it was, but enrollment for courses starts before the program. I think I signed up in probably June or July for Exploring Marketing.
I'd love to take Disney Heritage as well.
