Hello everybody, just wondered if anyone has actually seen this parade! From the pictures and summaries and reviews I've seen, apparently it's awesome!
(Well, to get to the point, I was wondering if anyone could describe the Mary Poppins float in detail to me  )

Hope these photos of the Mary Poppins float are of some help to you. :goodvibes

It is a very nice parade. I have always wondered how they pick people to participate in the Mickey-float. I would LOVE to do that just once in my life!

PS: IMO, this is a very difficult parade to get pictures from. I think it's because people are closer to the floats than on Main Street, and it doesn't have some of the turns in the parade route that provide good picture spots. The Studio 1-side is, IMO, the better side for pictures.

PS2: They also have a small parade in the morning, which is fun AND it has a meet and greet, and great picture opportunities!!!

Wow thanks for the great pics!!! :woohoo: But...em...does anyone remember what music is playing during??? And do the horses move up and down? Cause in the Disney World MGM Studios parade, the carousel horses don't. (Which I think is stupid, they should, from what I've seen in video, it looks boring.) ;)

We did the studios tour and were invited that way. My understanding was that if you go and ask it was possible.

I am at the back in the middle.

I wonder why they have the straps on those seats... for your safety or Mickey's safety... ;)

Next time, I'm going to be there!

Great parade! There is a peter pan/ tinkerbell float and Lion king.... Great parade. I was actually surprised with all the characters there. Much better than the good morning parade they do in May.

The music played for the Mary Poppins float is an arrangement of Feed the Birds/Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious/Chim Chim Cher-ee.

Sorry, can't help you on this one. I am too busy waving at the characters to notice! ;) :rotfl:

Thé best place to see the Cinema Parade is where it goes backstage (the gate between the Flying Carpets and Animagique).

Mickey's float stops there and all the characters from the parade get on it and take a final bow. Great photo oppertunity!!! :thumbsup2

I agree with Raptor we were stood there in June & Dh got some great Photos & Ds good interaction with the characters as they seem to wait there for the parade to finish.

Enjoyed the parade but wouldn't ever describe it as Awesome! Do hope you won't be disappointed.

At least it's so much better than the Stars & Motorcars parade at Disney-MGM Studios (which we will get in 2008 :rolleyes1 )

ohi thought i had a few piccies of it.. but only one i'm afraid...

it *IS* a hard parade to photograph! apart from being closer... there's none of the main street buildings blocking out the sun! and there's no kerb to sit on either!

Personally I think this is easier than the Disneyland Park parades to get photos of, I have always managed to get lovely snaps every time (even with a fairly slow digital camera!), if anyone can tell me how I will happily post them up here (if i can still find them!).

Also the music throughout is something about "Lights, Camera, Action"

I've seen the Studios parade twice and never been massively impressed to be honest. The performances are good as you would expect but I don't think it's as good as the parade in the 'senior' park IMHO.

we saw the parade and alais didn't get any photo's as i was videoing it and matt had libby on his shoulders, i thought it was great, just the right amount of time, but jake was wishing he could go on mickey';s float, but i told him it would have been boring as he wouldn't have gotten to see the other floats. oh well another reason to go back
