Disney Christmas Tree--got one?

We have 8 trees ranging from 4-14 feet plus one outside ( we're pretty big into Christmas). 3 of those are Disney themed. In my sons room is a 4 foot tall primarily Winnie the pooh with some extra wow characters. In my daughters room is a princess tree (it's pink, she loves it lol). Our entire family room is Disney with a 7 foot mouseketree, monorail, Disney tree skirt, stockings, decor, etc. However, we're getting too many ornaments to fit the tree, so I think were gnu to have to start looking for maybe a 9 foot...

Jik anyone's wondering, all our trees are "themed" in our lr is a 9 foot tree wit all homemade and antique ornaments, in our foyer is a 14 foot tree in the curve of our staircase all gold, crystal and white, in our media room is a tree that we call "ice" all cool blue and bing, in our guest room is a Texas tree, in our room it's our family tree (all covered in pics of our family through the years)

:worship: Can I come visit you for Christmas? I think we're kindred spirits. ;)

I have a tree in the family room with all the homemade/first Christmas/Santa/Snowmen/etc. ornaments. There is also 7 ft tree in the dining room that is just for my Pooh and friends ornaments. I even have a hunny pot tree topper. My kids know that is "Mommy's tree" and they are not allowed to touch!:rotfl:

My DDs each have a 6 ft tree in their rooms. Last year, one was Disney princess themed, but the other was a hodgepodge. I also have enough Star Wars ornaments to do a whole tree for DH, if he ever finishes the basement. Right now I have more ornaments than room for trees!

We just bought a new house and now I want two trees so that one can be just Disney ornaments. We finally have room to do this and I think I have enough ornaments to fill a tree. I've been collecting them for over 15 years. Not just from the parks, but the Hallmark ones, too. The collection is big enough that I am pretty selective about new ones these days, but I have a lot of fun each year pulling them out and remembering all the fun Disney stuff I have! I even have an animated Mickey tree topper. :cool1:

Here is ours :goodvibes

Last year we also had our monorail running around it with a few of the monorail toys (the Poly, some of the attractions).

I don't put anything on it that's not Disney - our garland is golden Mickey heads from the Disney Store, and the tree skirt is Disney, too. I also try to make sure the character-specific ornaments are Christmas-themed (they have to have holly or Santa clothing or something, not just a random figure of a Disney character).

I went crazy buying ornaments for a few years. Now I just pick one or two up each year. If we're at WDW I'll get a dated one or a resort one. One year I got the pickle at Germany at Epcot (not Disney, but it is, you know?).

We put up 2 trees each year. We do a smaller one upstairs that has all the kids stuff they made and their yearly ornament on it. We do the picture ones so we can see how much they have grown each year. Then in the family room in the basement we put up our larger "disney" tree. It only receives disney ornaments that we have collected and bought over the years. The family room also gets our Disney light up castle, Casey's Corner, and the Main Street Emporium christmas buildings. We also do a year ball ornament for each kid every year and the majority of them have been Disney, we buy the dated ones each year on our trips down there. Also all our stockings and stocking holders are Disney themed and those go by the fireplace in the family room. Of course my family room is decorated in Disney theme all year round so all the extras just fit right in.:thumbsup2

We put up (2) Christmas trees every year. A traditional tree and a Disney tree. Our Disney tree has over 75 Disney characters on it plus small mickey head bulbs from the parks. We have a light up Tinker Bell for the top.

I think I will make my DW read this thread. I think I have found some kindred spirits who share my love for Christmas trees and WDW.

We, meaning I, put up 4 trees each year. One Indianapolis Colts tree, One traditional tree with no character ornaments, one family tree (we buy one ornament a year for DW and myself, one for DS10 and one for DS4) that has some Disney ornaments but many others as well. And finally in my kids room is a 7 foot disney only tree. Many of the storybook ornament collections plus others that we have picked up over the years at Disney. We also have a train that runs around the tree with Mickey, Goofy and Donald on board. A disney tree skirt and a Mickey tree topper.

My DW thinks I am crazy, but the kids love it as much as I do, so we win.:cool1:

We have 2 trees, the main one downstairs and our Michigan Wolverines tree upstairs in the gameroom. Technically, the Christmas tree downstairs isn't a Disney one because we have many non-Disney ornaments on it. But, DH calls it the Disney tree because we have a ton of Disney ornaments and they dominate the tree.

I collect the Hallmark Disney ornaments and I also buy 1 ornament everytime we're at Disney World. This past trip in September I found a really pretty glass blown Mickey head ornament in Germany. I usually buy the big ones at the Christmas store and then have them personalized, but this year the one in Germany just grabbed me. I can't wait to put it on the tree!

FWIW, we also have a Disney tree skirt, mantle cover, stocking holders and various Disney Christmas figurines. DH just rolls his eyes and says we don't need to go to Disney at Christmas since it's pretty much all over our house! :lmao:

Here is a picture of my Disney tree that I do each year.

Here is a Disney theme tree I've done for people in the past. It's just a two foot tree.

Wow, Robo, that's some set-up!!

Here is my "Mickey tree" as I call it. Small but cute! :)

I have three trees, one Disney in den, one with non-Disney like snowman, Santa, etc in living room. And a third we call the margareta tree with lots of fun, beach, and tacky type in study.

My question is now when do you guys start putting your trees and stuff up? We will start 2nd week of Nov.:scared1::woohoo::scared1: We leave for Disney on Nov 22 and come back Dec. 2nd and I want my stuff up and ready to go.:santa::santa::santa:

We have a non-traditional, kind of funky cool Christmas tree that is a little girly I suppose, so my H said he was hoping we could switch off each year. We both agreed we'd love a Disney tree, so we bought a bunch of ornaments on our HM and then a bunch more this past April. We now have enough for our Disney tree this year--so excited!

I love all the different themed trees you all have - Disney and otherwise.

I put a big non-themed tree in the living room with all my regular ornaments, then I do a "Joy" ornament tree (my name is Joy), a tree with all cat ornaments, one with all Hallmark ornaments, one with family ornaments and a small one on our bar with bar themed ornmanets.

I'm truly not worthy. :worship:

I absolutely love your yard. Something I can never have as it's an extremely rare Christmas when we can see the ground.

Who did your characters, are they wooden cutouts. They are my favorite part.

Robo - your spread is impressive too.

We have 2 trees. We have a large real tree (usually blue spruce) that is always our Disney tree. We have a 6' artificial that holds everything else (Hallmark, kids homemade, etc.) We have a spattering of yard decorations and quite a few Disney decor all through the house. I have the monorail and Contemporary, but have yet to find a place to display it. We have a Disney train that we run under the tree.

I don't have pictures on this new desktop yet, but will transfer some and upload them during the week.

When so many of your neighbors/friends think you're crazy, it's exciting to find there are others just like me out there. :grouphug:

Yes they are cutout's, but not all plywood. We start with plywood and braces then cover the plywood with hardboard which is very smooth. The pieces are primed then painted and detailed. My wife and I do all the work using oil based paints (this will expand and contract without cracking). We have 26 pieces now. Each piece takes about 3 weeks to complete. We add a new one every year or so (none this year). Last year we added Alice in Wonderland and Cars. I must also tell you we had some help from the MAN...ROBO a few years ago who suggested a better power supply to run the Monorail (which the kids all over our town go crazy over), thanks again ROBO!!!

It is a seven foot tree with about 400 Disney ornaments (only Disney ornaments), Disney tree skirt and only Disney wraping paper. We also have a Disney yard at Christmas and a Dept. 56 Disney Christmas village. Here is a link....I'll try to get a couple of more pictures of the tree and post them later.
