Disney Christmas Parade

Hey DIS friends!!! MERRRY CHRISTMAS!!!

I have a question for you all. So as I sit here watching the Disney Christmas Day Parade, I wonder how you find out which day they are going to be recording these parades. Wouldn't it be amazing to be able to see it and be a part of that?? Anyways, I tried googling it, but couldn't really find much. So just wondering if you can call Disney and if they would tell you, and if anyone has done it, and how you found out when it was going to be.

If you watch the boards, the parade information for filming will appear in early November or late october, as soon as the dance groups are invited - the family members often post here and give all details. We were in Disneyland this year when the parade was filming the weekend around Nov. 7th - they filmed for three days, in the mornings. It was not that exciting, LOL.

I agree, we were there this year and it was not nearly as exciting as it looks on tv!!

I was at Disneyland in the crowd after they came back from the Toy Story clip. It was fun to see myself and my kids thought it was great. However must admit it is very different from what you see on tv. There was no parade the day we were there for filming, however it appears it was happening.

Somehow I'm always thinking I want to do the pain in the butt things, like I think that I am going to miss out on something if I don't get to go... Crazy I know.

We too have been in WDW the weekend that they tape, and MK is a madhouse so we avoid it at all costs...
