I was wondering when they put up and take down the decorations?? I would love to see it decorated for Christmas, but I would like to avoid crowds, if at all possible.

They start the day after Halloween and are done by the first MVMCP, mid November.

They come down I believe the first week of January.

Do they start putting them up the day after Halloween?? Or do they light them up the day after Halloween?

beattyfamily - since, technically, Epcot's Holidays Around the World doesn't start until after Thanksgiving, do you still think the park will be decorated as early as mid-november - just no holiday festivities?

I can only speak with 100% certainty about the resorts and MK. Hopefully, someone who was at Epcot before Thanksgiving last year can chime in.

Just another FYI...

Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights at MGM were up and running as of November 12, which is much earlier than years before.

My guess is all the parks are decorated by mid-November to coincide with the first MVMCP party at MK.

I knew about the Osborne lights; I believe the Jingle Jangle Jungle parade at DAK also started around Nov.12th this year - which means that park should be decorated. I'm hoping Epcot is also. We usually go every year right after Thanksgiving, but this year have to go a little earlier - Nov.8-16th. Hoping we still see most of the decorations up by then.:santa:

Most of the decorations at Epcot were up the day after Halloween, but I'm not sure what day they started the tree lighting ceremony. I'm thinking probably November 12th.

We're crossing our fingers for the Xmas decorations too, we will be there on the same dates at POFQ.

For some reason, I'm thinking the Epcot nightly tree-lighting doesn't start until the first weekend after Thanksgiving. Think I read that in last year's time schedule for the park. Not 100% sure though.

Some one else out there know first-hand?
