I didn't get back the last two nights, but here I am now to give the next chapter in our great adventure!!!
So, last I left you, we were headed to bed, room service menu hanging on the door and raedy for a good night sleep! (Wasn't there a smiley with a night cap & blanket????) The thing I have to say about an inside stateroom is, it is pitch black when all the lights out and you have no concept of time whatsoever!

It would have been very easy to sleep late if we hadn't set an alarm.
When we ordered the food for the next morning, mainly coffee & pastries, we put down between 7 & 8. At exactly 7am, there was a knock on the door!

It was room service with our coffee! We enjoyed coffee & pastries in bed that morning! YUMMY!!!!
(OK, Pam will probably kill me for posting this picture, but it just shows you what our early morning was like!!!)
After coffee, showers and gettingb ourselves ready, we were off to Nassau!!! Pam & Judy would be experiencing a dolphin encounter, while MJ, Roz & I watched and took pictures. It sounded ok, but we weren't that excited about getting in the water with a dolphin!
We met in one of the lounges, signed in and waited for the ok to disembark from the ship.
While there, Pam bought a towel....
Soon we were off and headed off the ship into Nassau, Bahamas!!!

Unfortunately the day was breezy, cool and overcast....not the sun & warmth we were hoping for. Oh well...we made the best of it!
As we were headed out to sea on our ferry to the dolphin encounter, we saw this little taste of the states...
I don't know about you, but I always get a kick out of seeing a retail store that is very american in a foreign place.

It's probably just me!
While ferrying to the island, we sailed past The Atlantis Hotel. This is a beautiful resort and I was lucky enough to have stayed there about 4 years ago with DH for a work conference. There is an outing you can take from the ship to here, but it didn't seem worth the money to me to use the casino or the beaches.
We reached the island and sat through a short presentation where they gave directions, rules and general info. Once this was over, we headed to the area where Judy & Pam would meet there dolphin friend, Shawn. Here are a few pics from the encounter....
I'm afraid I'll be over in pics, so I'll continue in the next post.....
