We did have a blast! I would go with these ladies again in a heartbeat.

BTW...How did you get free dining for your trip??? I am hoping to add that to mine in Sept. Do Tell!!! ;)

Gayle - love Chef Mickey's. I didn't get to see Donald there though, we had Chip and Dale. Love the update. Sorry you guys had words but glad you made up.

I have already decided to make ADR's for Chef Mickey's when I go with DH! It was alot of fun and good food!!!
I think "having words" was going to happen eventually when you have 5 very different personalities. Since the "words" were geared to me, I just wish they had said something sooner. It seems that no matter how hard we try, "things still happen." :confused3

Great installment! :thumbsup2 Can't wait for more. popcorn::

I am trying to get the next installment together. This really is harder than I thought it would be to get this TR finished! Others make it look so easy!!! :thumbsup2

Thanks to all of you reading. I promise the cruise portion will be up soon!!! :rolleyes1

For anyone still interested...I am posting a mini installment, as that's all I have time to do right now.:goodvibes

We were up bright and early as bell services came and picked up our luggage to get it to the ship. It was nice not having to lug that around with us. We headed down and ate breakfast, then headed to the lobby to wait for our Magical Express to the Disney Wonder! We were given information forms, our keys to our rooms on the ship and directions on what we needed to do once we got to the port. Thw bus finally arrived and we boarded. Luckily we were at the front of the line, so we sat at the front of the bus. Definitely needed to be the first ones off!!!

The driver was very nice and we got to watch a video on the cruise. Our excitement was building and pretty soon we saw this:

There was the Disney Wonder in all her glory!!! What a gorgeous ship and that was going to be our home for the next 3 nights!!! WOOHOO!!!! As we got off of the bus, there were people everywhere but it wasn't crazy. There were lines through security, no pushing, shoving or rude people. It all went very smooth. :) Because we had done all the paperwork at POR, we didn't hve to check in at the port, we headed straight towards the entrance. On the way we took a few pics of the area.

From here we headed through the "ears" and were on our way to the ship!!!

Next Up: Do we make it on to the ship without incident???? What do you think???

You are so good doing a little installment teaser. I'm living vicariously through you for the next 3 days of your TR. I've always wanted to do a Disney cruise. :yay:

Looks like you started this part of your journey with beautiful weather too. Thank Goodness!.

I really want to see a picture of your room(s) and of course the food if you have them. ;)

i'm still here! i tend to lurk on TRs sometimes....sorry!

the ship is gorgeous and i LOVE the mickey ears entrance! :goodvibes

I am really enjoying your report! I followed your link from Umama's report (Hi Wendy!). Very cool that you met Mouska-maddi (since I actually know who she is!). I'm sorry you had words with your friends, but it's good that you all made up!

I'll be waiting for your next update! popcorn::

Oh what a tease. I am so excited for the cruise because that is something I definately want to do, I already told my DH we are doing one of these cruises with the kids.

You should do a cruise at some point. The character interaction was amazing and we had soooo much fun!!! I even had a close encounter with "Belle" and had a lovely conversation with her. I'll tell all about it!!! (With pics!):thumbsup2

The weather was gorgeous that day! It wass great being on deck in all that sunshine!!! :goodvibes

WELCOME TERESA!!! So glad you are here to join in with me and the other "Disney Chix"!!! You will come to see there is nothing like a trip with 5 women to Disney!!! :woohoo:

Oh what a tease. I am so excited for the cruise because that is something I definately want to do, I already told my DH we are doing one of these cruises with the kids.

Yes Laura...I am a tease!!! :rotfl: I decided that a mini-installment was better than not writing anything. I would highly recommend the cruise to anyone!!! There is something for everyone!!! :thumbsup2

Just giving you a little bump :jumping3:

Thanks Jo!!!! :hippie:

There has been LOTS of things going on in my life recently...the most life changing is that I lost my job 2 weeks ago. :confused3 It was a mixed blessing when it happened, as I didn't like the job and the man I worked for, however it IS wreaking havoc on my budget!

And on that note...I am writing this update from Myrtle Beach , SC!!! :goodvibes I headed here on an impromptu trip with my friend Roz and her daughter Paula! :woohoo: I am sort of the third wheel, but am enjoying every moment of it! It's sunny and beautiful and I am getting some nice color! YAY!!!

Befor I went away, I had an interview at HSBC for the customer service department . Monday, my DH told me I had a message from them. I called Tues morning and they offered me a job! :woohoo: I am excited and can now breathe easier on this trip.

With all that being said...I will try to write an update while here.

Thanks to all of you who are still reading and interested in my little trip. My next installment will be up soon! :dance3:

Yeah

Last I left you, we were heading off through the “BIG EARS”. As we went through, we handed our room keys to a CM and he scanned them. MJ, Roz & I went through, but we seemed to have “lost” Pam & Judy! :confused3 Them getting stopped at security checks seems to be a pattern this trip! I went back to find them and they were in a little room to get new keys, as theirs didn’t scan correctly. I realized mine hadn’t either and I mentioned it to the CM who rescanned it and sure enough, it wasn’t coded correctly. So…in the little room I go! Once we all had our new keys, we headed down the gangplank toward the entrance…but first you have an embarking picture taken. It came out lousy, so we didn’t buy it. :rolleyes1

As we headed into the doors of the ship, we were asked our names….Judy, MJ & I went in together, so then the CM announces us…”THE DISNEY WONDER WELCOMES MARY JO, JUDY AND GAYLE!” (Now, you need to say this with a thick Australian accent!) Afterwards, all the CM’s standing there clap for you! I definitely felt welcomed and expected! Pam came next and she was tickled pink to be announced!

We found our rooms and settled in for the next 3 nights. With 3 ladies in the room, it was a little tight, but the room was bigger than on another ship I had been on, so it was OK.

IMG_1038.jpg

The first few hours on the ship are a blur and I don’t remember much. I do remember heading to the buffet and it was delicious!!! So much to choose from! For some reason I missed the casting off party, but I made it up on deck to see this:
IMG_1048.jpg

All along the route out of port, people were lined up with Mickey hands and waving as we passed by! They were workers in restaurants, people in there homes and the CM’s at the port! It was a lot of fun to see them and then…..the horn goes off and it plays the first measures of “When You Wish Upon A Star”! That was the best!!!! Whenever any announcements were made, that tune would play!

From there we wandered the ship and got our bearings. Before we knew it, it was dinner time. We headed to our first restaurant of the trip, Parrot Cay. It had a very island feel and was very colorful. This is where we first met our waiter & assistant for the trip…O’Neil & Maria. O’Neil was from Jamaica and Maria was from Argentina. What friendly and wonderful CM’s they were! Very attentive! Here is mine & Judy’s meals…I can’t remember what they were, but they were delicious!!!

IMG_1053.jpg

As we weRe eating, the show started!!! The waiters paraded around to island music, some with trays on their heads!

IMG_1055.jpg

After dinner we headed to the theater to watch the Hercules show. Now, I had read reviews of this show that were not favorable, but I really liked it! However, it is no longer showing. They have replaced it with another show. From there we wandered the ship again, and as Judy & I were standing on the balcony looking at all the characters down below, I saw Belle!

IMG_1062.jpg

She was standing next to me, just watching the children below. I spoke to her briefly and off she went to see the children! Now, if I was a child, I would have thought I had met the REAL Belle! She was just like she is in the movie!!!

On this ship is an amazing art gallery with all Disney art! Here is a sample…
If I could have afforded a print, I would have bought one. They were all magnificent!

More wandering and a few pictures later:

By 11, we were getting tired, so we turned in soon after. When we reached the room, this guy was waiting for us on the bed:

We had a busy day ahead of us…Nassau, Bahamas and an encounter with Dolphins!!!!But, before we turned in, we made sure to hang the room service order outside the door so we could have coffee & Danish in the room first thing!!! I LOVE CRUISES!!!!

NEXT UP: DOLPHIN ENCOUNTERS & PIRATES!!!
