Lets see
..where did I leave you??? Oh Yeah! We were at the end of
MVMCP after LOTS of pixie dust and headed back to POR for a good nights sleep. This was the night I erased all my pictures from Sun & Mon! I was sooo upset, but what was I going to do? I figured Id make up for it the rest of the week and I knew I could get copies of the others pictures. Roz & Judy had stopped at the hot tub on their way back and jumped in fully clothed! They had been looking forward to getting into it all day and were afraid it would close before they had time to change and go back.
So we awoke on Tuesday morning bright eyed and bushy tailed. (OK, only the two morning people were like that, the rest were dragging butt!) We got ready and headed down to catch the bus.
We arrived at Epcot and it was another beautiful day! The sun was shining, the topiaries were glowing and Goofy was just waiting for a morning smooch! (So, Judy obliged!)
We had decided to head over and get fast passes to Soarin first thing. Yes
I said Soarin!
Now some of you know I had been debating this ride for months! I get motion sick easily, Im afraid of heights to a point and the idea of this ride scared the poopies out of me! MJ & I decided that just because we get the fast passes doesnt mean we have to use them. While we waited for our time, we went to see Circle of Life. We walked around some and met up with this guy:
I was the only one in our group to know who Figment was! So sad!
After that we were able to head back to Soarin, so we did. I was still fighting a war in my head on whether or not I was going on or not. We got in line, right to the front and were in line 2. OK..I knew the 1st line went the highest, so that was OK. The war in my head raged on, but I calmly walked in, buckled up and shook! The ride started and we lifted and I shook some more!!! (OK, I may have screamed just a little!) MJ kept her eyes closed the entire ride, but I did bravely experience most of it. Judy gave a running commentary for MJ, so when we were low she would open her eyes! It was an amazing ride! The smell of the orange grove, the sights, the mountains,
DisneyLand
.all of it! I have to say I liked it and will probably go on it again with DH. (One ride conquered
hopefully more to go!) We ate at The Garden Grill where I had a delicious grilled veggie sandwich, sun chips and a diet coke. It all was very good and very filling.
After lunch we walked around, had some fast pass pics taken,
went on Nemo (which was just OK in my opinion) and then headed to Turtle Talk with Crush. This was very cute and I was impressed with the CM playing Crush. He sounded so much like him and had us all laughing. I bet if you had kids with you it would have been even more fun! I do recommend seeing this, whether you are with or without kids!
MJ had found out that as Disney Visa Cardholders, you can get a free 5x7 picture taken with some characters. Now we didnt know who would be there, but we decided to do it, as three of us are cardholders. I was sooo excited to see Mickey!
Funny how easy it is to turn into a kid again and feel that type of excitement! We had about 3 min with Mickey and Pluto, had our picture taken and would be able to pick it up later that day. How thrilling to be that close to the characters and genuinely enjoy them! I think DH and I will be doing this again when we go in Sept!
We then went on "Honey I Shrunk The Audience". (Aren't we beautiful in our 3D glasses???)
From there we headed to Ellens Energy Adventure. Roz opted out of this one and ended up here:
Taking a nap! I think we all could have done without this ride. The 180 degree screen made Judy light headed and the rest of us just thought it was way too long. My opinion is to skip this one.
After that we had had enough of rides and decided to chill for awhile. So, we left the park and ended up here:
I had never been to the Polynesian and thought it was beautiful! I cant imagine staying here though. Too fancy for me! We wandered a little bit, all got leid by the same gentleman and then headed out to the beach and all got some type of tropical drink. To our dismay, they did not have umbrellas at that bar because of it being near the pool. Oh well. We found seats, took off our shoes and enjoyed the beautiful view, fabulous weather and our cold tropical drinks!
(Later, Judy decided we needed umbrellas and went and found us some!)
After the rest, we went back to Epcot and headed to World Showcase. We walked around, but did not explore the countries that much. Since Mexico was mine & Rozs favorite, we did stop there for a little while. By now we were getting hungry and trying to decide where to eat. Roz and I would have been perfectly happy with a CS meal, as we were discussing going to Morocco, but we all ended up in Italy! This restaurant was very fancy, beautiful and pricey! But what a great meal! We had fun with the waiter and they even ended up singing Happy Birthday to MJ due to a miscommunication! Here is our waiter Matteo, his helper, Francesca along with MJ.
Not the best picture of MJ, but
.isnt he gorgeous?!?
We wandered the WS awhile longer, found a spot for Illuminations and enjoyed the rest of the night. We again joined the herd heading for the exit and headed back to POR. Another day gone and only one more left for Magic Kingdom!!!!
