Disney chefs add more gluten free options

All fine and good for those with gluten allergy but I wish they would have more options for dairy free. It is not just taking cheese off of a sandwich, or removing butter and sour cream from a baked potato. It is having a dairy free margarine available, a sandwich that was never in contact with cheese. Cheese can always be added but taking it away still leaves it contaminated

Talking Hands, I have had great luck finding lots of dairy free options, including butters, cheeses, ice creams, even whipped cream while at Walt Disney World! I'm happy to share where we have found stuff, if you like (photos of food in link anyway, and all is dairy free). Often they use a dairy free butter (like in the eggs at many places). Sometimes not the case, of course, but I have found that I can eat all the same things with only minor modifications :) (except some cake and bread type items - I just get the dairy free gluten free versions of those)

Thank you. I would love the information on dairy free items. Gluten free is not an issue at this point and I am better off without a lot of carbs as I have type one diabetes as well. Interestingly on some items I prefer a modification of a regular item, like with pizza I just ask for one minus the cheese. Add some veggies and I am in heaven. Also have problems with shellfish, mango, aspartame and sugar alcohols.

I would love to hear some info as well. We have just started to learn about GFCF eating this summer since our son's autism diagnosis, and this will be our first vacation trying to accommodate his intolerances.

Everything in our photos (in link) is gluten free and dairy free, so you can glance through and see that every restaurant is accommodating (with some exceptions in CSR and Epcot). They have gluten free dairy free options every where and some really surprised me, like Captain's grill and Crystal Palace. I love Crystal Palace for the allergies. They make us the best desserts on property!
Almost every place uses a dairy free butter in the eggs (and I found scrambled eggs at Tusker and Sunshine Seasons were SO good). We even got dairy free whipped cream, ice cream, and cheese! Not every place had dairy free milk (with surprised me). When we dined at Brown Derby, they were not able to accommodate a dairy free milk for me to put in my coffee, but they subbed some rice dream instead, which worked out fine.
BUT if you know what you want, I can point you in right directions, most likely. At Magic Kingdom the Main Street Ice Cream parlor always has dairy free ice cream, for example.
