Disney Chase/Visa Issue -- anyone instantly approved?

I'm not sure if this is in the right spot or not - so I apologize and please move if not.

I signed up for one of the Disney Visa cards for two reasons:
1. I wanted my family to be able to get the exclusive photo ops at Epcot.
2. I wanted to save $25 on a Disney shopping purchase. (By the way it is now up to $50 I believe)

So I sign up and I was not instantly approved. This is odd since I never have any problems. Well a week or so after I do get a card sent to me in the mail.

I guess since I wasn't "instantly approved" I do not get the $25 savings. Which I really wanted.

Has anyone here been instantly approved? I almost wonder if it is a rare thing and the offer just tries to reel people in.

Do you think there is anyway I could get anywhere with Disney/visa to get the $25 credit?

I don't understand why I wasn't instantly approved. It is not like they needed more info.

Any suggestions would be great!

after you make your first purchase you will see the 25 instant credit on your statement. this happened to me when I applied to pay for a package we were thinking about, after I got and used the card when the bill came there was a 40 disney credit posted on it.

My dh was approved instantly over the phone in June.

There was a rep in our local Disney store in Sept handing out apps. She told me that all you had to do was fill out the app to get the $25. I filled it out & used the coupon right then. I didn't think I would get approved because I haven't worked in 5 years, but a few weeks later I got the card!

BTW - the photo op is great. We did it last week with Mickey, Minnie and Goofy!

We were approved instantly over the phone last month. Our daughter who works for Chase said it depends whether the bank rep has the authority to do instant approvals or to turn the application over to someone else who approves credit card applications.

I was instantly approved last weekend on the internet. My card came yesterday, I did not see my 25 credit or my free shipping at disneyshopping.

I guess I'll just have to use it once and see if it shows up -- thanks everyone. I can't wait for the photo op area -- and going in general! I've never been to Disney around Christmas time and am very excited!

I was instantly approved on the website a month or so ago and got the deal of a $40 credit issued upon my first purchase using the card. Sure enough when I used my card the first time a $40 credit appeared on the statement.

On another note eventhough I was approved instantly online and they gave me a credit limit when I received my card my limit was $10,000 higher then they stated on the instant approval. So maybe they check more after you get the instant approval.
