Hi all. Does anyone know if the Disney Chase card gets you preferred viewing at Illuminations and preferred seating at the Eat to the Beat concerts this year? Thanks!

I believe the card only offers high fees, poor rewards and crazy interest rates ..

The only thing you can use it for that I know of at Epcot is the Character Meet in Innoventions. You get a free photo from the experience when you visit. If you have a Rewards card, we were able to use that for a second free photo. (Of course, we got caught in a downpour and completely forgot to visit the photo place on our way out ....so got no pictures last trip.)

Yes you do!! Go to the third floor of the American Pavilion - there is a Chase Lounge there .. Anyone with a Chase card can go. Anyone with a chase card can get a wristband for reserved viewing of Illuminations as long as the reserved area isn't already being used for a private function. All Disney chase card members can get a wrist band for preferred seating the Eat to the Beat on Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays. All of this is first come, first served, so get to the lounge at 11 am! There's also free freestyle coke machines there - nice place to take a break!

My card has no annual fee and I only use it for onsite perks ... So I don't worry about rewards or interest rates ... And we do get preferred viewing during the F&W festival.

Do you ask for the wristband for reserved viewing of Illuminations at the Chase Lounge? Where is the preferred viewing area?

Ask in the lounge for the wristband.
I haven't done it yet - will be going Nov 3rd, but there are first hand reports from this year that you can do a search for. The preferred viewing area is by Italy.

I tried searching for posts about this, but came up empty. Where did you read them??

We used the reserved seating a couple of weeks ago. So nice!! We didn't know about the reserved area until we had already purchased the dessert party. The Chase reserved area was much better- not crowded and a nice view.

It's in Italy. Just stop by the lounge and they'll give you wrist bands.

Anyone with a Chase card can use the lounge. The reserved section for Illuminations and the concerts are for Disney Visa card holders only.

Thanks! We've had a Disney Visa forever, but had not yet seen any confirmation that bands were being used again this year. :goodvibes

Is this a year round perk or only during Food and Wine?

The character meet n greet with the free 5x7 is nothing to sneeze at either! Very short lines and the photo would cost $15 if you purchased it. We even waited a couple of days to go back and pick up our photos- no problem. They do need to know the date it was taken to speed up finding it though.

I have 2 Disney Visa cards, each of my daughters have 1 each so we were able to get 4 photos!

Our kids are too young to have cards, but we have a Visa and a debit, so we always get two each day. 3 Epcot days = 6 free pics per trip. :goodvibes

Utilized last week. Any Chase card holder can go to the Chase Lounge (in America signs will direct you to door) where there are free soft drinks, some seating, charger stations and plugs and air conditioning. Inside there is a Disney Visa table where Disney Visa card holders can get wristbands (while supplies last) for the special area for Illuminations. We did not participate in the Eat/Beat. We were told that all members of your party must be present and they put the wristbands on us.

We arrived at the Disney Visa viewing area well before the Illuminations start and was surprised at how it was set up. Facing the lagoon in Italy it was only the bump out to the left of the bridges. The bridges and all areas to the right were for anyone. The shape of the area means that maybe 15-20 people on the rail were facing the show, the remaining rail faced the American Gardens Theater. When we arrived folks on the front rail were already 4-5 deep standing. For the few on the rail, great view - for everyone else, would have done better elsewhere. No surprise most of the roped off area remained empty. The second night we opted to pass on this and had rail seats by Norway with a great view.

I knew about the perks listed on Chase's website but none of these! Are there others for the other parks?

What is Eat to the Beat? I am guessing that it is something during F&W.

The other perks though, the Illuminations wristband and use of the lounge and coke machine, those are year round benefits?

It is a concert series during food and wine. The lounge and wristbands are also only available during food and wine.

What characters are usually at the Epcot DV Meet & Greet?

Typically two of the Fab 5, but sometimes there are 3. They will not let you know who is in there in advance.
