Disney charge for using Randy & Stan??

We ve just received our contract via email

Have just been reading through it & came a cross something that i was nt aware of

If you choose to book additional photography/videography services and such services are not
booked through Disney, you must provide to us at least thirty (30) days prior to the Wedding date,
the name, address and phone number of the photographer(s)/videographer(s) you wish to hire to
take photographs/videos at the Wedding. You will be responsible for having your
photographer(s)/videographer(s) sign a license agreement in the form provided by Disney. No
photographer/videographer will be permitted to provide photography/videography services at the
Wedding unless such photographer/videographer has signed such license agreement and returned it
to Disney. Photography/videography for the Wedding that is not booked through Disney is subject
to a minimum Ninety Dollar ($90.00) services charge for each photographer/videographer providing
services at the Wedding. This services charge will cover the costs of an escort who will accompany
the photographer/videographer for up to three (3) hours while the photographer/videographer is
taking photographs/videos of the Wedding. If an escort provides the services for more than three
(3) hours, you will be charged an additional Thirty Dollars ($30.00) for each additional hour the
escort provides the services.

I did nt realise that Disney charge a fee for booking for eg Stan & Randy

How do you get Stan/Randy to sign the agreements?? I presume Disney send you a form that you then have to send out to Stan/Randy

Gees a wedding can be a lot more work than i realised

I could swear they did away with this. I wasn't charged an escort fee for randy or stan and that was not in my contract i dont think

Yikes! Is this new? We'll be getting our contract in a few weeks, so I guess we'll find out then....

I remember hearing about this a few years back but as PrincessBride010103 said i too had thought this stopped.

It just sounds like a lot of hassle getting both Randy & Stan to fill out silly little forms for a place they must go to god knows how many times a week.

I guess Disney have seen an easy way to make a few more $ & have re introduced this. Probably due to them realising nearly everyone uses outside photography & videography

They did away with the charge! They still have to sign the paperwork, but if it's on file, you wont have to do it. At least with me, my planner told me not to worry about having Randy sign anything because they have it on file. I'm sure its the same with stvs.

The charge clause is also in my contract, but I'm not getting charged. I believe they did away with this sometime last year.

They did not "do away with the charge." I was speaking with my planner about this just the other day. We are not being charged for Stan or Misty because of the frequency of business they do with DFTW. If you use a photographer or videographer that they are not familiar with, they WILL charge you an escort fee.

Oh dear I hope they have done away with this as we are using Randy and also an outside vendor for videography - could prove to be expensive !

I'm not sure about that - Disney had never worked with the Roots or Star Fruit Productions, our photographer and videographer, and we were not charged.

I asked my planner point blank if the fee was still being charged and was told it is not.
