Hi!

My family and I are taking our first trip to DL and DCA in June!

I have heard about a Disney Character Outlet in Fullerton, but I am wondering how best to get there without a car. Does the ART trolleys go that far north? What about OCTA buses? I could get a cab, I suppose, too.

Has anyone been to this store? Another question: If I take a cab to this area (Orangefair Mall), is there a grocery store within walking distance? I will also need to get some food in for the room, and thought I could do both things at once!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I am also keen to hear this info- If you take a cab do you just call another when you are ready to go or is there a taxi stand? That's what we have in Sydney anyway...

I know nothing about the transit as we had a car for our trip last month. We went and did not find too much actually, it's certainly a warehouse and not like a Disney Store. It's just off the freeway and there was lots of other stores around, I suspect a grocery one could be found.

I know Costco is across the street. I am not sure about other grocery stores.

I took the OCTA bus there in Oct. '06 & plan to do so again this Oct. A day pass for the bus was $3 & good on all OCTA transportation all day. I don't remember a specific grocery store but there was a Dollar Tree right next door that had a large grocery section including frozen foods. I remember this because I had never seen this in a dollar tree before :rolleyes1

Anyway go to the OCTA web site & use their trip planner to figure out how to get there from your hotel. :goodvibes

I think its a great store but its kind of hit or miss. We go there pretty much every time we go to Disneyland. Last time I only bought one small thing. But the time before that I bought around $150 worth of stuff. It all depends what they have in at the time.

I also got a discount card by signing up for their mailing list but I dont think you can use it the first time you go there.

They have a website here http://www.ams-liquidation.com/index.htm but it doesnt really give any info other than hours. Pretty sure the middle picture on the front page is the Fullerton store.

I was just there. It's about a 10 minute drive north of DL off of Harbor Blvd. in a large outdoor mall. It had some of great deals. Picked up a DL55 hoodie for less than half price (had seen the same jkt @ DL a couple of months ago for $48.00). Also picked up a Jasmine halloween costume for my daughter and some Xmas items that I'll give for gifts this year @ a steal. Could have spent more but it wasn't in the budget.
