Hello everybody!

It's been such a long time since I have posted frequently on this board!
I have been swamped with school.
Anyways, I am auctually going to be on here a lot more because I might be able to go to the Disney Channel Games next year!

From anyone that went this year... can you please give me any tips or experiences? Thanks!

Oh, and for all of those people who were complaining about the Jonas Brothers fans... I am truly sorry! I am not one of their crazy fans, I promise. I felt soo bad reading about how people's kids were getting trampled by crazy, obsessed JB fans. I apologize. Hopefully, if I go, I can attempt to calm everyone down. Don't take it out on the Jonas Brothers.... I am sure they would be apologizing too!

:goodvibes

Okay, but back to the main point.... so can anyone share any experiences maybe about who they met, or where the best locations are?
Thankss!

bump!
even if you don't have an answer.. can you please type "bump" so it can be higher up!
thanks

sorry I can't help. Wish I could give you advice! All I know is that they are held at Wide World of Sports. Good Luck getting more info!

:thumbsup2 We attended the Disney Channel Games and the concert last week. The games were free to view and pretty tame crowd-wise. However, you are VERY far away from the action. ;) Bring binoculars. There were big white tents on the field blocking most of the action. There was a grassy area where people spread out blankets and a lot of girls were huddled along the fence calling out the stars names. Sometimes during breaks the stars would come by the fence and sign autographs for the fans. Be prepared for some pushing by the fence. We stayed back and just watched the action. There were A LOT of Jonas Brothers fans at the games and concert.

:scared1: We were one of the families that got field tickets for the concert, but left the field due to all the pushing and shoving. We have a 2, 5 and 8 year old. Our children were honestly scared for their lives. When we decided being on the field was not going to work, we tried to leave. DH carried DS2 and had DS8 by the hand. I followed with DD5 by the hand and the sea of people trying to push into our spots almost crushed my daughter. They were pushing from both sides. It was a frightening scene. Needless to say, if the Jonas Brothers are playing next year we won't be attending. Our kids are big Miley Cyrus fans and were glad to see her perform.

We got our concert tickets online early by being WDW Annual Passholders. Otherwise, you email DCG and are put into a pool to get the tickets. The Disney Channel Games was very slow in coming out with information online. I got most information from the Orlando Sentinel and the DISboards. Also, there was a "secret" DCG parade at DHS that I only saw mentioned on the DISboards. So, we made sure to be there. The parade had the Jonas Brothers, Selena Gomez and the blonde and brunette girls from Camp Rock. It was pretty much an advertisement for the DCG. Our kids enjoyed seeing the stars close up.

The gate for the concert didn't open up until 7 PM. We arrived at 5 PM knowing there would be a line. What we didn't expect was the HUGE line already formed. So, arrive early to get your color-coded wristband. It was pretty organized so everyone wasn't rushing in at the same time. They gave everyone DCG glowsticks on their way in. We still have ours unused. I assume they were for the Jonas Brothers act. I'm curious to see the rest of the concert on tv and see what we missed. We left after Miley sang because we had to get up early to drive back to TX.

:thumbsup2 If I was a teenager or Jonas Brothers fan I probably would've had the best time. Have fun next year!

okay!
awesome information!!!
Thanks sooo much!
:)
you don't know how much i appreciate it!

:) No problem.

One last thing, if you are staying at a WDW resort and plan to use Disney transportation to get to WWoS, the only option is taking a bus from DHS to WWoS.

Once again, have fun next year! :goodvibes
