Just Got Back From The Game . It Was Not Fan Freindly At All . Last Year It Was Very Different , This Year There Were Tents Blocking Most Of The Field, The Stars Where Not Allowed To Come Near The Kids , It Was Very Very Disappointing . I Had 7 Girls With My Wife And I And They Were All Very Upset . Some Of The Stars Told My Kids They Could Not Go By Them For Anything . I Felt I Really Wasted My Time ,i Took My Kid Out Of School And My Wife Took A Day Off And We Were Really Very Disapprointed On Disney End. We Heard Many Complains All Day Long From Many Other Parents And Kids. The Kids Were Running Every Time They Saw A Star And They Were Really Not Able To Get Any Autograghs , In Comparison To Last Year Stars Made Time For The Kids. Is This Not For The Fans That Made These Stars Famous? It Really Is Sad. There Were A Few Stars That Wanted To Come By The Kids And They Were Told No. These Kids Watch These Shows And Really Have Made The Disney Stars What They Are Today And They Are Not Able To Even Get Close To Them. I Understand They Are Filming And On A SCHEDULE But Please If It Going To Be Opened To The Public,Then Expect Kids To Want A Bit Of Time With The Stars. I Am Not Sure If I Will Go Back During The Remaining Days This Week I Just Do Not Want To Have My Child Disappointed Again. i SPENT ALOT OF MONEY TODAY FOR NOTHING , COULD HAVE SPENT IT ON SOMETHING WORTH WILD. WE KNOW IT IS FREE BUT DISNEY SOULD BE EMBRASSED ,VERY RUDE AND NOT FOR THE KIDS AT ALL.

oh man that's terrible! and i didn't think about it like that, but you are so right about how kids are the ones who make the disney channel what it is. If it wasn't for the fans there would be no stars. wow i really hope (even though it is very doubtful) that disney will step up their game throughout the week. I mean come one its disney! they are not known for disappointing... at all! I mean I love Disney and thanks to all you wonderful ppl that work at disnay (if you are reading) that make wonderful things happen... but like jimmar said, the fans are the ones that made everything possible, these games should have been a lot more fan friendly. let's just hope things get better... thats gonna take a lot of hope though..

Some adults were more critical of the games setup.

Kelly Hogan of Montgomery, Ala., said the games were better arranged for fans last year. "The access to stars is very, very limited," she said. "It's totally different from last year."

She urged Disney Channel to set up a meet-and-greet for fans.

Lori Zavitz of Maitland said she wished Disney Channel would take away the white tents on the field that obscured the view of actors and the games they played. She also didn't like it that security took cameras.

"We have a lot of good memories from last year," Zavitz said. "Allow the cameras -- it's fun to get memories."

That Miley Cyrus photo in Vanity Fair? No big deal, several mothers at the Disney Channel Games told me Monday. Frankly, I heard more disappointment about the obstructed views of the field at Champion Stadium.

That became apparent from the start when, during the bag search, we were informed that no food or drinks could be brought into the stadium. Obviously, the folks at Disney want visitors to spend money at the concession stand, but even the theme parks allow sippy cups and snacks! And food and drinks were allowed at last year's games.

Once inside, we were disappointed to see huge production tents side by side on the field. Between those and the stage set up for Saturday's concert, it was almost impossible to see the games. This was not unexpected; Disney Channel was clear in its promotional material that the games were not staged as a sporting event but as a working production. Really, though, would it have hurt to show on the large screens what was going on with the filming?

Cast members and Disney security officers also had a larger and more, shall we say, involved presence. They were serious about enforcing the no-cameras rule. So much so that I saw one guard confiscate a girl's camera and delete the images she had shot. I'm not sure what in the world was on there, because it seemed that very few of the American Disney Channel stars stopped for autographs. I'm told their European counterparts were more accommodating when the stadium first opened.

On the positive side, Champion Stadium was largely uncrowded. About the only time there seemed to be a stampede was when the Jonas Brothers were on the move. Tweens and teens screamed mercilessly and ran from gate to gate trying to get the boys to acknowledge them. I can only imagine what would have happened if Miley Cyrus had been there.

Despite it all, my kids still say they were glad we went. The Disney Channel Games are taping again Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. if you want to see the event for yourself. Tickets for Saturday's concert have already been distributed. A word of advice for anyone heading to Champion Stadium: lower your expectations from last year and enjoy the novelty of it, and you might not be disappointed. Oh, yeah, and don't even think about bringing cameras, umbrellas, food or drinks.

but seriously it sounds like Disney really needs to step up their game.. and i thought i would never have to say that.

it also sounds like a good idea for them to at least put up on the big screens what is going on. come on Disney! I hope they solve this soon! they need like an emergency meeting to try to make things a little better. I know they warned about the whole thing not being too spectator friendly but still, that should have never been the case. Fans should come first. If they really wanted to, I know Disney could do something to better this situation.

I Understand About The Picture Thing Not Wanting You To Take Them Because Of Trade Mark But When You Are Only Trying To Take A Picture Of Your Kids With The Disney Stars And They Stop You Or Take Your Camer Away From You And Then Delete Your Pictures That Is Just Bad Very Bad . Disney Should Have Had A Fan Day At One Of The Parks For The Fan That Would Have Been The Right Thing To Do . On Wed They Ar Have A Prade In Dhs At 2:15 With The Stars So What Are They Going To Do Then Tell Everyone In The Park No Pictures We Will Delete Them On You Come On. I Am Very Upset About The Games Today My Kids And Other Kids Were Not Treated Good By Disney The Kids Were Begging The Stars To Come By Them And They Said They Could Not They Will Not Let Us Meaning Disney Would Not Let Them I Saw A One Disney Star Who Wanted To Come Over To The Kids Not Once But 4 Time And He Was Beeing Held Back From The Crew He Did Not Like That You Could See In In His Face Some Stars Did Come Out I Guess When No One Was Looking And Did See The Fan So Good For Them. That is one of the rudest things I have EVER heard. Post number does not count.

Ok I don't mean this as rude as I know it is going to sound but Hellooooo... you can listen to someone who has posted twice on the board OR from the people who went last year and this year and have been posting for a LONG time... I'm telling you, it's awful... AWFUL... my kids who are major Disney Fans asked to leave and go back to the condo to swim after about an hour of this crap. It's bad... it's MISERABLE and the MOST fan UNfriendly event I have ever seen at Disney. Is it worth going? That's a personal choice I suppose and I can't say don't go but don't blame me when you drive all of this way, spend this kind of money and all your kids want to do is go swim... will they snake an auttograph or two? Probably... amongst the SCREAMING teeny boppers (and wed evidently) who are willing to run from one side of the stadium to the other and scream some more and get squished... Since the Disney people read this here's a thought people...

Set up a fanfest, have people make a "donation" for whatever amount $10, $20 people will pay it and allow them in to get autographs and pics with their favs and be done with it. They can choose for their donation to go to their fav color team and raise a LOT of money for the charities without actually "charging" to get in... you can stagger the tickets by an hour or so and keep controlled chaos for a long time ... kids will be happy, stars won't get trampled, parents will pay just so their kids are happy and the charities will make a lot fo money...

Think they are just "discouraging" cameras.. ok then take yours in... and then a) lose it to the staff b) walk back to your car OR c) get kicked out like the 6 people I personally witnessed being escorted out by the plain clothesed security people... they are and I quote "STRICKTLY PROHIBITTED" Sorry to be DebbieDowner here but it's a fact people and I don't want anyone showing up and thinking it will be ANYTHING like last year because it is NOT

Okay it was bad but only in the sense that you could not see anything. I got their late in the day@ 5:30 pm. And we were able to get a slew of pictures and autographs. I mean artist renditions. I was bad and snuck it in and no one said anything to me, again i think cause it was the end of the day!

1. Jason Earls - auto & pic & HUGS (I even got hugs )
2. Selena Gomez - auto, pic
3. Allison Stoner , auto, pic & HUGS - really a sweet girl, I spoke to her Mom for a few and she was down to earth as well. Well grounded girl who aprreciates her fans and made sure she signed evryone and I mean autographs even when it started to rain.
4. Jennifer Stone she was more FABULOUS then Allison , auto, pic, HUGS and she did that hand shake that her & Selena do, the one about the being FLY!! Oh she made my dd DAY! She was also out their in the rain signing.

6. Jake T. Austin auto
7. Nick Jonas auto only
8. Joe Jonas autos only


A couple others International stars have to figure out who they were.

Really only got snubbed by Sabrina Bryan, Brenda Song and the Jo Bros. But these girls were going crazy and running and falling, I chuckled inside. Kyle Massey was giving autographs to a huge crowd. I think some stars were feeling the heat because everyone was screaming for the JB and asking them (the other stars about them) Like for instance Jason Earles is on the same team as one of them and the girl said you are so lucky to be on the same team with them and I chimed in and said no ____ was so lucky to be with Jason Earles. You have to show you love for them too.

I talked to the security guard and he said be prepared for ear plugs. I went City walk with Ellen and saw the JB and the screaming last maybe about 40 minuetes total time they performed. I was told today they perform their songs about 2-3 each. THat is alot of screaming. I know their fans are crazy but so are their die hard parents I had some words with a lady the City walk because she jumped right in front of me and children. So take that with a grain of salt and be prepared to packed like sardines.

So again I got their about 5:30 and stayed till 7:00, I did talk to somone who got their 1st thing and had the same amount of autogrpahs that I had in the 1.5 hours that I was there.

yeah the tents were annoying. Yeah, the bag check was annoying. But, what fun we had!

My kids got a bunch of autographs. Nick Jonas touched my DD's hand. Kevin spoke to my younger DD. They talked to Mr. Jonas. They met Chris Massey from Zoey 101, got autographs from a bunch of Disney Channel stars.

We're hot tired sweaty and gross - and we're gonna do it again tomorrow after school gets out!
