Disney Channel Games 2008???

Every time I see a newbie or lurker pop up w/the questions that were answered by our stellar sages WEDWDW & Sarah I want to smack my head in frustration. Hang tough - people will start picking up tickets in TWO DAYS and we'll all have new info then!!

I wanted to clarify that although there are 128 pages of posts, I, personally, was asking for an opinion on whether Monday/Tuesday would be better than later in the week, since I could not locate the specifics I had hoped to find. Thru the 128 pages of posts there was limited information on how things progressed thru the week of the games. Although "Newbie" and "Lurker" some how come across more negative than I am sure it was intended, please know that I DID search first before posting the question. All those who have found this forum are here for the same reason, to get and share information, not be made to feel bad for asking, but I consider it a lesson learned. Thank you .

is everyone getting excited? after months of research and speculation the day is almost here. Really all we had to do was wait for the info to come out. That would not of been as much fun and I would not of met so many cool people. MAndrascik, I understand and that is kinda why I stopped coming by. No new info and same questions asked 10000 different ways. This board is wicked huge though and alot of it is us just gossiping...lol. Mom2kdm dont take it personal. I am sure it was not fired towards you. We have no idea what day is better, it is all the luck of the draw. No official shooting schedule has been released. Still can not find team lineups. The ones I am finding are bogus. Have some new emails placed and hopefully I will have news from them soon. Glad to see all is well and everyone is getting ready.

Most of the team lineups have Maiara Walsh..spelling, from Cody but Hal said she will not be there this year. Also all of these sites have team colors but Hal and a disney rep and Mitchel's myspace all said no team colors had been announced or are known yet so I am not posting my findings on team lineups.

WOW, you are all good. I got "So Miley Cyrus, along with some other Hannah Montana crew and lots of other Disney stars will be available for signing autographs and will play for charities such as UNICEF and Make-A-Wish!"

Okay, so I planned to go over on Thursday to watch the games. I took a personal day, etc. Now, I found out my DD might be interviewed on local TV that day for a dance video she was in. What do I do? Do I go on Monday instead? Are there games Friday? I absolutely can't go Tuesday because of a commitment my DD has in school. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

Why can't things be easy! Why must they be complicated???

mahipp u gotta dilemma. I would not count on friday. I would count on moday.
monday games tues school wed off thursday video fri may not be taping...
ask them to change the interview to wednesday. then you have thur fri and sat go home sunday....sweet

over Spring Break my DD and 4 of her friends filmed a dance/exercise video for our school system - it's aimed at getting teenagers to exercise more. It will be aired on the school's public access channel. the school system sent out press releases...

Well, when I dropped my younger DD off at dance today (they both dance, that's why I can't afford Disney passes any more! LOL), their dance teacher told me a network affiliate news channel wants to interview the kids on Thursday at 5. She is the one who made the arrangements and she is having to cancel regular classes that night to accommodae the filming - so I am assuming they didn't give her a choice of dates/times. If they did, Friday would have made much more sense because she doesn't have classes that night.

Plus, I have limited time off from work.

I vote for Monday! That way you can come back and tell us all the exciting news! When life gives ya lemons, make lemonade (for us anyway!) JK! Sorry that your plans are getting messed up. But congrats on the DD and her new "celebrity" life!

I wasnt sure if I would be able to pick up my tickets so I emailed the games address (its since changed to the broadcasting address). They told me they would put another name on my ticket envelope as well - in this case my sister so that if I didnt make it to pick them up she could. I am sure you could do the same thing and put your friends name so that she could pick up the tickets. I hope it works out and will pray for your mom

My Mom has taken very ill and has had open heart surgery. If someone out there can point me in the right direction to have my tickets transfered to my best friend so she can pick them up I would greatly appreciate it. I'm not sure yet if I will be able to take my 2 DD's but I would hate for my BF and her girls to have to miss this. We were all supposed to go together and since I am a passholder I was able to get the tickets that we needed.

I'm not sure if any of the powers that be with the games is still over seeing this thread but if you are please email me and let me know what I can do about having someone else get these.

My concern about Monday is that they'll be setting stuff up and not filming as much as they will be on Thursday.
