Alright all the same info thus far...holding pattern..lol

If you spent last year watching the games and also did the concert, which in your opinion was better as far as interaction goes?

My guess is the actual tapings. I know there is a lot of down time during the concert and 100x more people.

Curious as we are driving 13 hours one way and I need to leave right after the concert to be back by May 4 in the afternoon.

Also, I see in some of the pics that there are bleachers to sit on and some people sitting in the grass. Do people take chairs, blankets or anything? We are planning on hanging around all day, every day during the week so I was wondering if we should bring anything. Pillows/blanket for an afternoon nap? LOL

There is no question about it-interaction is much better during the daily tapings.I don't remember people bringing blankets and chairs last year,but I may just not have noticed. The stadium seats are fairly comfortable and IIRC there were always some of them in the shade.

Yes this definitely is the place to be! I knew NOTHING about the DCGames until I saw a thread that WEDWDW had started back in January. My DD12 and I have been planning ever since. DH has no desire to go so it a girl's week for us!!!!

Slight chance maybe some of the DCG kids will be there??

There is always a chance-I saw Kyle Massey and the Sprouse twins late one night in Tomorrowland last year,but it is definitely a SMALL chance you will see any in the parks because the parks are so big,but there IS a chance.

he is on tour but he will be in gainville or jacksonville fl. not to far away.

I'm starting to get a little nervous. This is our first trip ever to WDW and we tried to wrap it around the games/concert. However, we are coming in from AZ and not arriving until after WDW ticket window closes on Tuesday night. The plan was to go to DHS for the elusive fan day on Wed. then go pick up the tix on a break (lunch time) on the 30th. I'm worried now that the most exciting stuff is going to happen on the 30th and I'll need my tickets to do it :-( I'm really excited to explore the parks and stuff but now wondering if it's worth the additional $$$ to fly in Monday instead of Tuesday so we can pick up our tickets earlier and that way not chance missing anything on the 30th. Thoughts my friendly Floridians?? Those in the know?? And - of course - THANK YOU ALL AGAIN!

I would just stick with coming in Tuesday.IF AND THAT'S A BIG IF there is something in the ticket envelope,if you go to WWoS as soon as the ticket window opens Wednesday,you should be good to go.What an amazing experience to be on your first trip to WDW AND at the same time as the DCG! WDW is INCREDIBLE!Just a footnote:if you are trying to come up with a "reason" to come to WDW a day early,then I DEFINITELY think you need to pick up your tickets on Tuesday!

lxh11,I have the MOST important question of all about DCG 2008!It is not about the List of Stars or about a possible Fan Fest,etc.The most important question is:WILL THE CHAMPION STADIUM CONCESSION STANDS BE OPEN?!LOL If not,I want to hurridly buy some stock in the All-Star Cafe!
