Disney Channel Games 2008???

specifically stated that there will NOT be a fan fest "in any of the theme parks" - which led us to believe that maybe it would be at Wide World of Sports.

I DO NOT THINK THERE WILL BE MUCH CHAOS BECAUSE DISNEY IS NOT PUTTING THE WORD OUT TO MUCH AND YOU HAVE TO HAVE PAIDED TICKET TO GET IN THE PARK THE FAN FEST SHOULD BE IN THE DHS FROM ALL THE NEWS OUT THERE IT AND IT IS GOING TO BE DURING THE WEEK FL KIDS ARE IN SCHOOL

from other info that has been found online, there may not be any taping on the 30th. An online casting call for stunt coordinators for the Disney Channel Games stated that the position was "on hold" on the 30th and the 3rd (day of the concert). The people on this board have been very industrious in obtaining insider information.

For me personally, the fan fest (if there is one) being in a theme park would make my decision easier - I don't have Disney passes at the moment and don't have the cash at the moment to buy new ones. So, if indeed there is a Fan Fest in the theme park, I'll just come over to see if I can watch any of the taping at WWoS.

I would think that if Disney was going to close these the games to the public that they would have already come out and said that. I doubt they would keep us in suspense if they weren't going to let anyone in. My hunch is that they are trying to keep it a secret so that word doesn't get around too fast and cause large amounts of people to come. If they wait and announce it last minute, then less people would be there. Does that make sense??
I'm another one hoping for Miley! My daughter will be turning three while we are down there that week, and she absolutely LOVES Miley. If she could meet her she would be in 7th heaven. Well, she'll already be in 7th heaven with just being in Disney, so maybe 8th heaven if she was in Disney AND met her biggest Idol!! We didn't get tickets for the concert, which is really okay because she only knows the other people, not really a fan of them just yet.

last year they didn't officially annouce anything until the week before the games. I'm sure we we be hearing leaks this coming up week.

The later they annouce it will be better for crowd control.

We are all very aware of the dates that Hal Boedeker has published as well as the dates on the ticket page. That's old news.
The members of this board have been very diligent in digging past the easily found information. Joed911 found this link - it is a casting call for stunt coordinators for the DC games - and it specifically states that the position is "on hold" April 30 and May 3 - which is what leads us to believe that there may be a fan fest April 30 and no taping of the games.

As I stated in a previous post Disney IS on record as stating the DCG tapings WILL be open to the public. The quote can be found on the link to Hal's blog on page 41 in a post by joed911.It is in the fifth entry from the top.The "taped audience" IS "closed to the public",but Champion Stadium WILL be open to the public according to the statement from Disney.

I know the stars might be at animal kingdom it got extra magic hours on April 30th. its close to where they all stay.

There is infact a taping of the games on wednesday! My friend is an extra.

Don't take this the wrong way, but there is no need to argue about whether or not there is taping on the 30th. We'll find out for sure soon enough. Sounds like there is going to be a fan day, we just have to wait and see where it is. Thanks to everyone who has found out info! This thread is great!! I'm just afraid that if we start arguing it could lead to heated discussions and this thread could end up getting shut down. We REALLY don't want that to happen!

Okay guys....At this point in time all we can do is wait. I know it is fun to speculate but it may just lead us down the wrong path to disappointment. I just ask all to continue to look for info and prove it with a link for others to see. This will stop us jumping to conclusions. As of now we have multiple info from multiple sources. I am checking the passholder site as well. I am also checking google and other boards for info too. It is getting close and info should be leaking out soon. In Hals Blogs there is more then one part for DC Games. Read the comments. Some times he answers questions in them. Just wait and keep the excitement and info coming. I think we should have a meet and greet area for us when we get up there
Not to add any gossip..lol...but someone (sorry forgot who) on this board said that last year we knew nothing until just before. I have spoken to Rosemary and other sources who all said that the info will not be finalized until just before the event.....They also said they read the boards and know what we are talking about! I ask them to add info then

Doubt this is a reasonable source but found it interesting. A fan states that on Mileytv.com that Miley will be at the games. Note the video is last years so don't get excited like I was when I found it...lol

Oh, I agree. VIP access, and personal meet and greets for all of us would be awsome!!! Maybe they can even go on some of the rides with us at the parks, and just hang out with us for the day or half day. Now that would be way cool!!! Okay, I guess I'll settle for a 20 second meet and greet with a pic and autograph. That would be okay too!
