I will be there in 21 days and cannot wait to meet everyone...meaning you guys..and of course the celebs. I will be leaning on you to show me, a newbie, the ropes....Seems just a matter of time now until all the info is out...

will you have computer access to let us know what you've seen? I can only come over one day - so I want to pick the *best* one. If there's a fan fair on Wednesday - do I try and come to that (only if I don't have to pay for park admission) or do I try to come on Friday? Decisions, decisions...

That's the worst part of the trip, not having enough money to afford a nice hotel, so I have to stay in one of the...not-so-nice ones. lol. Not looking forward to that.

Miley was much better in See U Again... Also saw that HSM was filming HSM3 and unable to be at Idol Gives Back. Looks like they are most probably not going to be there. We can hope though...
There goes my ,I mean my daughters, chance to meet Ashley....Now Miley has to be there for my daughter...
Although Vanessa has a new album out April 11th. I think the DC Games is a good way to promote that album!

I have been reading this boards for over a month now and am just finally signed in and posting. I feel like I know several of you already. In any case, I am from Roseville California and a crazy Disney parent (just like the rest of you). I search the internet daily looking for clues on whats coming out next for the DC games. I will start adding the info I find here as well. I will be there for the week 4/26 thru 5/3, but didn't get tickets to the concert. I do plan on going to the games and am taking my laptop so I will surely post what I see. I look forward to talking with all of you over the new couple of weeks as the info unfolds. I feel like a crazy kid waiting. it's nervewracking and my 13 year old son thinks I'm insane. I also have two young daughters who are really excited about seeing their favorite stars. Thanks for posting all the info. it's been very helpful in trying to plan.

Just talked to someone in Media Relations at Disney. Searched and found phone number from the article from the NY Daily News link someone had posted on Tuesday.

She said there is no fanfest scheduled at DHS and that tapings are indeed closed to the public. Not what I wanted to hear, but pretty reliable since she is the assistant to the media coordinator. She said the production is closed this year except for the concert and that the concert was really only the public friendly event.

Maybe they are just saying this to keep the public away?

Still hoping if we hang out in the outfield we'll be able to see!!

Yes that is depressing news. I would take it lightly until word actually comes down. Ways to many loose ends still hanging. Good work though...I think that it is funny that everyone gets a different story from a different reliable disney person....Lets just hope and wait.....and hope and hope and did I mention hope?

I think the "closed to the public" comment refers to the famous "not actively recruiting an audience" statement.This is my take on that statement:unlike last year the audience that will be TAPED is "closed to the public"-only the pre-selected "extras" on the field will be the "audience".Disney is on record as stating that the public will be allowed into Champion Stadium.Go to the link for Hal's blog that joed911 has provided on page 41 and read the fifth entry from the top for the exact quote.I may be proven wrong,but it would be AWFUL public relations for Disney to make a statement like that and then close the games and Disney is the BEST in the world when it comes to public relations!

I already expected a Fan Day would take place with the March 6 announcement by LaughingPlace and the information from Radio Disney.Thanks for this info too!If Hal says it you can "take it to the bank"!To my knowledge he was the first to announce the 2008 DCG dates back on January 5.Keep watching his blog-I would expect for more information to appear there SOON!

I DO NOT THINK THERE WILL BE MUCH CHAOS BECAUSE DISNEY IS NOT PUTTING THE WORD OUT TO MUCH AND YOU HAVE TO HAVE PAIDED TICKET TO GET IN THE PARK THE FAN FEST SHOULD BE IN THE DHS FROM ALL THE NEWS OUT THERE IT AND IT IS GOING TO BE DURING THE WEEK FL KIDS ARE IN SCHOOL
