Disney Channel Games 2008???

Oh good because I'm planning on sneaking in a camera (just pretend you didn't hear that :))

Yeah I heard it was good to do with the package! anytime i have actually gone to see the processional i end up wayyy in the back :P.

It is an AMAZING experience from a participants point of view. The people there are so great! last year for the christmas eve concert, the disney cast in charge of aligning us, keeping an eye on everyone, etc. did a little show for us backstage and it was so funny and great! i loved it those ppl are amazing. And of course being up there is indescribable. The narration can be so powerful , esp. when it comes from really good narrators like my favorit Gary Sinise ( even though Jim Caviesel was really good too) I have the whole thing memorized (Lol) but the last few parts are so powerful. And also just being up there with everyone and feeling that energy to really get into it an sing your heart out is so WOW:goodvibes ! and i love looking into the crowd, searching for i dont know who..hehe. ppl might think you can't see anyone from up there and with all the lights, but you really can see very well! Maybe I'll see you this year! :D

okay so today i have so much work to do but i am gonna work extra hard to get information out of my friend. I'm gonna start asking very straightforward questions! :cool1:
Thanks for sharing your CP experience.Do you sing in it every year? Also, why do so many people "faint" during the CP?Thanks.:)

Does anyone know if most of the Cheerleading and Dance World Participants will leave Monday or will A LOT of them hang around for the Disney Channel Games? Thanks.:)

OH MY!:) I don't think my beloved Walt Disney World Resort is ever going to be the same after the JB fans are through with it!LOL:) GRAB THE CHILDREN AND HEAD FOR THE HILLS!:) Note to Disney-if you will sell Mouse Ears with earplugs attached to them at the Disney Channel Games, you will make a FORTUNE!LOL:)
HAHAHAHA! yeah jonas brothers are crazy!! I'm one of them!!!!!! I would want to know where they stay too, but i wouldn't have the guts to go see them there.

You're welcome! :) well for the last 4 years I have been singing at the CP. And hopefully I will continue to do so!

Why do so many ppl faint? Well i have never fainted but yeah a lot of people do faint. It's mostly because we are standing there for such a long time with the lights shining really bright on our faces. And it can get really hot will all those lights shining on you. Also, it is because they probably lock their knees while standing up there which is the worst thing you could do. And also probably because they didn't eat earlier or drink enough water. But yeah, it can get really exhausting up there. But as long as you follow instructions you are fine. I've had people faint around me and it's kind of :scared1: at first, but then a cast member quickly comes and gets them. and not to mention the people that decide to use other people's shoulders as vomit bags...eeeeekkkk!

i think you have answered this already, but where would you guess is a good spot to wait for the parades? THANK YOU!

WEDWDW- My guess: Many, if not most, of the athletes competing in the Cheerleading and Dance Worlds will go home on Monday. :cheer2: I would imagine that the International participants will be arriving mid-week this week and will probably stay longer. Teams from the US are completing their competitive seasons at Worlds, many of which have done extensive travel this year. There is a Cheer/ Dance convention taking place at the CR (I think) Monday and Tuesday... mainly for coaches and gym owners though.
PS- Tickets purchased with the competition package expire 4/30;)
Also, we are attending Worlds to support two different cheer programs in our area... nobody we know plan to stay beyond Monday.

hahaha i would definitely have the guts to go there. but i wouldnt be straight forward about it. like i would go at three in the morning or so and just "lurk" around the hotel rooms and maybe happen to find theirs (;

Wow...that's extremely creepy!

Haha.

I wouldn't be able to do that, I'm not THAT crazy about them! Haha, if I am going to meet them, I'd rather it be some natural way.

haha sameee.. i think when it actually came down to it, i wouldn't do that.
buttt im pretty crazy, i've jumped in front of their tour bus, ummm travelled across the country to see them and didnt even end up seeing them, ummm snuck in through a secret elevator and got backstage?
pretty badass.

Yeah,I think I would rather my DD meet them without someone calling security and them getting a restraining order!

Thanks! That is TOO bad that all of them can't stay for the DCG!;) :) Just kidding.:)I am not flying down until Sunday night. Will you be going to The Milk House some or are your events at Indiana Jones or World Showplace?IF you are going to be at The Milk House and IF you have a laptop with you on your trip, would you mind being our "roving reporter" and giving us a report on any activity at Champion Stadium-things such as whether or not they are erecting the DCG Concert stage or not? Thanks!:)

Comps are at the Milk House at WWoS, Epcot and DHS (Indiana Jones). Pre-lims are on Sat., Finals are on Sun.
This is the most prestigious cheer event of the year. Only the most elite all-star teams are invited to compete. We are going to support the Premier Clayton Shockers and the Cheer Dynamics Rockets!!!!!:upsidedow
I can't wait... these kids are extremely talented and have worked so hard:cool1: Check em' out.
By the way... Miley cheered on a Premier Athletics team from Tenn. years ago... ;)

WEDWDW- Our teams are competing at the Milk House... I will have my laptop since I am playing hookie from work to go support cheer teams!:rotfl:
I will definitely be stalking the stadium and will be happy to report it here!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Thanks for the info-ESPECIALLY the vomit part!;) :) Just kidding.LOL;) :)It is really something to see from the audience when people start "dropping".As far as where to wait for the parade,we really don't know the route yet,so it is hard to know.I would not THINK that they would have a "new" route just for the DCG 2008 parade, but I suppose anything is possible. My BEST guess is that DCG 2008 parade will be a "pre-parade" for Block Party Bash because DCG Parade starts at 2:15 and Block Party Bash starts at3:00.I fthat holds true the BPB route begins at the gate close to Sid Cahuenga's shop, turns left up Hollywood Boulevard, turns left at the "Hat",goes past The ABC Theatre/future American Idol show, turns right past Star Tours and exits at the gate by Tattoine Traders. In a previous post I suggested that in front of The ABC Theatre might be a good spot because there are steps to sit on while you wait.:)I am hoping lxh11 will give us the List of Parade Stars and the exact parade route sometime-by the way how nice was that of lxh11 to tell us about the parade,lxh11 DID NOT have to do that!:)-but the best advice I can give you is to be at DHS EARLY,walk the parade route(once you know what it is)select the area you want, then "visit' that area from time to time and when you see other people starting to "claim" spots-move in and grab a spot too.:)That is about the beat answer I can give you at this time.:)

THANKS ROVING REPORTER!:) Those of us who won't be there until Sunday or Monday will really appreciate it!:)

cheerky, are you going to the party at Animal Kingdom until 1:00 AM and THEN going to the Disney Channel Games at 10:00 AM.I am going to Evening EMH at Magic Kingdom until 2:00 AM and then to the Disney Channel Games at 10:00 AM!That is not going to leave much time to sleep!:)

The party at Animal Kingdom costs an addt'l $30 p/p b/c we are not doing the comp. pkg. deal. Our daughter is only 7 so I don't know if she will last. My friend coaches one of the teams competing... if we end up getting some tix from some families flying home then maybe we will go. Otherwise, sounds like bedtime for little one and cocktails and relaxation for the grown-ups.... Although, we will be visiting the AK- haven't done Everest yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cannot wait:banana:
Sleep- who needs sleep?:lmao:
What do you have going on at the MK?

I am a special ed teacher, so every time I see "EMH", I read it as "Educable Mentally Handicapped". LOL I know it means "Extra Magic Hours" but I still have to re-translate it! LOL
