dcgames2008.com site says Friday is "TBD" - to be determined. Wednesday it is very specific that there are "no games today". I would think Friday is a back-up day in case of rain or other delays.

Let us know what you find out. You could probably email that new disney broadcasting email address given a few pages back - I did with some other questions and they were super quick to reply, very nice and knowledgeable. I would love to know when you find out. Maybe I will email them too and ask.


I was also wondering about parking - anyone who was there last year - ideas for games, for concerts?? really crowded?? better off on bus??

Anyone know if we can bring, like, coolers and stuff? I know some people did last year.

Just kidding.LOL It is really something to see from the audience when people start "dropping".As far as where to wait for the parade,we really don't know the route yet,so it is hard to know.I would not THINK that they would have a "new" route just for the DCG 2008 parade,but I suppose anything is possible.My BEST guess is that DCG 2008 parade will be a "pre-parade" for Block Party Bash because DCG Parade starts at 2:15 and Block Party Bash starts at3:00.I fthat holds true the BPB route begins at the gate close to Sid Cahuenga's shop,turns left up Hollywood Boulevard,turns left at the "Hat",goes past The ABC Theatre/future American Idol show,turns right past Star Tours and exits at the gate by Tattoine Traders.In a previous post I suggested that in front of The ABC Theatre might be a good spot because there are steps to sit on while you wait.I am hoping lxh11 will give us the List of Parade Stars and the exact parade route sometime-by the way how nice was that of lxh11 to tell us about the parade,lxh11 DID NOT have to do that!-but the best advice I can give you is to be at DHS EARLY,walk the parade route(once you know what it is)select the area you want,then "visit' that area from time to time and when you see other people starting to "claim" spots-move in and grab a spot too.That is about the beat answer I can give you at this time.

Yes it was very nice of lxh11 to tell us that info. no one else knows that is going on and i'm pretty sure they want to keep it as hush hush as possible. thanks for that info WEDWDW it helps a lot. those are good tips. i'll just kinda pick were i want to stand and keep and eye one that spot and i'll be doing some pushing if someone tries to steal that spot! lol. i just hope that the other people that are with me won't hold me back from getting an awesome view. I know my sister won't but i don't know about my other friend (the one that will be hooking me up with tickets). All i know is that sometimes people try to keep me back when something is important! like a couple of years ago my sister, some friends and i went to epcot. and i went to epcot specifically that day because I knew John Stamos would be narrating for the CP (and i love him) and needless to say i had to see him from like a mile away. and my sister didnt want to stay in line for the next show (which we would have had good seats for) because she wanted to get good spots to watch the firesworks (i love their fireworks but still.. we had seen them a gazillion times and it was john stamos!!!!) and then this last january we went to magic kingdom and right after we got off a ride the guy told us that celine dion had just gotten off the ride like right before us!!!!!! and he told us where she was probably heading next and my sister and i wanted to wait around to see her get off that other ride or just to find her and the ppl we were with were all like "nooo i'm tired.. lets get funnel cakes!" AHHHHHHH sorry this was kinda long. I just hope the same thing doesn't happen this time. Thanks for all the help WEDWDW and lxh11. Hey lxh11, like WEDWDW said earlier.. where do we go to pick up our backstage passes? lol.

Well I have been very ill, so we aren't making it down until Tuesday night. We plan on being at teh games Thursday. Ds is going to flip. He has been wanting to see the games this last year. I didn't tell him about th egames since we were unsure about the view, but I did tell him about the concert. He doesn't get it yet. He just saw me reading the posts and recognized teh disney channel games logo. He asked if we were going, and I said yes. He said well they're not until the summer. So boy will he be surprised next week!

(FYI -DS has neuro-developmental issues, but is a HUGE disney fan and music lover. We went with staduim seats since neither of us can stand long, and the crowd might be too much for both of us. If I could get miley or the twins to sing the alphabet we would be set!)

Anyone know if Mr. Moseby (sorry I only know a few real names) will be there -ds insists he is cohosting, but he is expecting a repeat of last year.

Oh, ds cracked me up last night. He had freaked out that we missed camp rock (the poor child can't wait for it to be released) beacuse the announcer voice was talking about the video. So we checked out all the camp rock info, and then watched some jo bro stuff.

Well the fact that we are going to the concert has sunk in on some level, because he said we were going to have to pack earplugs so that all thoses screaming girls wouldn't hurt our ears!

I can't believe how excited I am to see the games/concert. I have been very ill for the last few months, and just taking a shower exhausts me for the day. Everyone things I am crazy for going, but I promised ds last year that we would go, and he will remember as soon as some one tells him it is summer, or they start announcing it on the disney channel. I didn't know how I was going to do it, but I am so excited now. I have had to change alot of plans to conserve energy, but I know it will be so worth it - now to get those backstage passes, lol

The party at Animal Kingdom costs an addt'l $30 p/p b/c we are not doing the comp. pkg. deal. Our daughter is only 7 so I don't know if she will last. My friend coaches one of the teams competing... if we end up getting some tix from some families flying home then maybe we will go. Otherwise, sounds like bedtime for little one and cocktails and relaxation for the grown-ups.... Although, we will be visiting the AK- haven't done Everest yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cannot wait

It is just the Evening Extra Magic Hours.Magic Kingdom officially closes at 11:00 PM but remains open an additional 3 hours for Guests staying at a Walt Disney World resort,Swan and Dolphin Resort,Shades of Green Resort and The Hilton Resort at DTD.

haha that hotell is niceee. im staying at the all star because it was super cheap but once i find out where my boyfriends are staying, i'll be sure to hang out there for a little bit
