Hey all! We've stayed at the Fort thrice before and used the cart only once. We'll be heading up again in early Feb (first time as members of the DIS) for DH and I's 5th Anniversary. we wanted to secure another cart to make sure we'd make it to MK for Welcome show as well as to deer watch (which we just discovered on our last trip with the cart).

Our original plan was to rent a 2-person surrey bike for the duration of while we're up there, but were told they don't rent overnight. Since we're driving up there, we considered bikes, but DH doesn't have one which leaves us right at block 1.

We're debating now between renting a cart from Disney or finding an off-site company to deliver to the Fort, but we heard rumors about off-site rentals being not allowed anymore. We'll be arriving after 9pm on our first day and only need it for 1 full day of rental.

Does anyone have any opinions or insight on this? Maybe a company recommendation? Or even if you know a bike rental company that's also affordable?

All the off site rental companies have a minimum rental. For 1 day you would need to rent direct from The Fort.

And welcome to the camping board!

Let me re-phrase that, we'll be there for a total for 2-nights and 3 days but there is only 1 full day of rental we'll actually be using. Were just arriving late the first night, after 9pm, and wanted to make sure that we'd be able to get ahold of a cart/bike. We're also not sure how late the Fort is still willing to give you a cart.
Thanks for the quick answer and welcome!

I just reserved my cart for our next stay and was told pick up time is 1 pm and drop off time is 11 am. So I think you would need to rent for 2 days if you want to pick it up when you arrive at 9 pm and keep it all the next day while you are at MK. Otherwise you would have to turn it in before you left for MK, and the rental place at the fort where you turn it in and pick it up is at the other end of the park from the marina.

I wouldn't think picking it up at 9 would be a problem as long as you reserved it ahead of time so you know you will have one for sure. I would just tell them when you reserve it so they can make a note that you are picking it up on arrival. It is $62 per day with tax.
