Disney Card Question

Hello

We're considering getting the Dining Plan. Is it possible to pay for the dining plan using the Disney cards you can purchase at the disney stores?

We like to use the disney card and add money to it each week ...kinda like a savings account for disney.
Because Disney doesn't allow us to pay in advance for dining, i wanted to save this way and use this card as payment.

Also, if i choose to book a cash stay over a points stay, does disney accept these cards for payment?

(just for clarification....I'm not talking about the Disney Visa)

If you are talking about the Disney Gift Cards, then YES, you can use them to pay for the dining plan. I used them this past January for just that purpose. My DD's school sells gift cards for their SCRIP program so I buy a $25 Disney card every few weeks to use on our vacations. I also found out that I can use them to pay for our DVC maintenance fees!
