I had an FP+ for 1/18 for TSMM and just got email that they changed it to Fantasmic! due to and "unexpected change in operating schedule">:(

Anyone else? I tried to see if TSMM was available any other time that day but it's not even showing as a selection in the tier 1.

What's going on?

Could be construction related. Or it could simply be a glitch.

I might be calling if I got this message. If a glitch sooner than later to get it fixed. >:(

What time is your FP for? I know that people were getting their evening TSMM FPs cancelled during the summer due to Frozen fireworks because TSMM was in the fallout zone. Could be a similar issue with SW fireworks.

Exactly this!! Thank you PPs for suggesting it was a glitch and that I should call. Our FP ended at 7:05 and the ride closes at 7:00 so that's why it auto booked us. The nice CM I spoke with gave us an "any time" FP for TSMM. Phew!! I missed HS last year because DS was sick and I didn't want to miss out of TSMM again!

I was getting worried for a minute since we have FP+ for TSMM that day, it looks likes ours are early enough in the day they weren't changed.

How long before fireworks do they usually shut the area off? We have 5-6 FP when the fireworks will be at 8 in February.

Well, Lvsdisney said that TSMM closes at 7:00 on the day her FP got canceled and the fireworks are at 8:00 that day, so I would assume it's the same for any day when fireworks are at 8:00.

Sorry, complete side tracked question here. Where have you seen times for the SW fireworks in February? The Travel Agent calendar hasn't been updated yet. We head down the 30th and I'm trying to finalize plans that are switching around a bit.

They are closing TSMM at 7pm when the fireworks are at 8pm which will be until March 6th
Then fireworks are at 8:30pm from March 7th through March 12th. TSMM will likely close at 7:30 pm
Then fireworks are at 9:30 pm from March 12th through March 19th TSMM will likely close at 8:30pm
Just to add GMR also closes early during fireworks days

we know the times of fireworks because they are selling the dessert party associated with it until March 19th
these are the dessert party times
January 5 – March 6- 7:00pm – 8:15pm, fireworks are at 8pm.

March 7 – March 12- 7:30pm – 8:45pm, fireworks are at 8:30pm

March 13 – March 19- 8:30pm – 9:45pm, fireworks are at 9:30pm

when we were there in october we didn't even use our FP+ because the line was out as far as where they used to have the FP kiosks. i knew that would take forever, so we missed out. maybe they are dropping some b/c they are booking too many?

they are cancelling the late night ones because they made a mistake and forgot that TSMM has to close early because of fireworks fallout

Why are they not showing the fireworks in the calendar on MDE or WDW website? Its a pain to plan around them by having to check under dining as if I was booking the dessert party just to find a time to avoid. Seems a bit backwards...

I figure it's because it's a common sense thing and no one who is working the Disney Website and could do anything about putting it on the calendar thought about it. But we all know common sense isn't so common anymore........

We had the same experience with the long line in October (it was even longer than the point you mentioned), but it actually moved very quickly. We were on the ride within about 10 minutes or so.

Because Disney management is a mess right now, the right hand doesn't tell the left what it's doing.
Up until yesterday the closing times for both TSMM and GMR still showed with the park closing on the HUB (internal CM site) for next week, that will show how bad it is right now. It's sad and both the guests and front of the line CM is paying the price

Doesn't seem too common sense for us. We have seen all the evening shows and weren't planning on bothering with them this trip. We'd rather utilize ride time. I would like to catch these fireworks now that I know about them. However, I've learned from experience (and common sense) to avoid trying to hop to and enter a park right before or during shows, parades, etc. I'm glad I found this info out on here from you guys to help with our planning. Looks like none of our FP + will be affected!
