Disney Called to Confirm Room Preferences

Hello All!

This afternoon my fiance was pleasantly surprised to receive a call from the CBR to confirm our room preferences. We leave for WDW next Wednesday (single digits dance! ) and this will be our fourth trip together within the past two years. We've stayed at a moderate resort before (POR Riverside) and the value resorts plenty of times. However, we have never received a call from the resort prior to our stay confirming our check-in and room preferences.

I was wondering if anyone else had received a call like this in the past? It makes me wonder if the hotel might not be full during our stay and that they may be able to better accommodate some of our preferences. Just some musings as we've never received this call for any of our other vacations.

Have you experienced this? If so were your room preferences met? We've asked for certain preferences before but have rarely received them. Fingers crossed for this trip!

I suspect this occurred because recently the online check-in options changed, and then changed again. It wiped out a lot of people's requests entirely in the changeovers.

That would make sense. Still holding out hope one of our preferences will be met this time around!

I also check in at CBR next Wednesday, but no call here. I am worried as I have a large group and requested rooms close together. One of them must sleep 5, so we'll see what we get

I also did online check-in but it did not give me any options to select locations, etc. which I have been able to in the past. We did give some requests when we booked, so I hope it turns out ok.

I got a call a few days before our last trip (which was about 2 weeks ago). The lady was super nice, and wanted to make sure we'd be okay with the room they were going to have to put us in (it was a ground floor pool view room, when we had put in requests for a high floor room). They only had one of our type available at check-in so that's why she called.

I had never had a call before!

I have seen some reports of people at other hotels getting phone calls too. Very nice. Not sure why they call some and not others though.

Likely has to do if they checked in before or after the last change.

Enjoy your trip -- CBR is our favorite moderate! I hope you get your choices. We love staying in Aruba or Jamaica.

There are a lot more options on room requests now such as specific building or floor, corner room, etc. I just hope this and my touring plans.com fax gets us in the general area we want.

Were. They reverted them back and removed most of the new ones. You should look online to see which of your online requests survived.

good thing i saw this post. i just checked room location request and there was nothing there. i just updated them back

I will check. Thanks for the heads up. You're right. There all gone. Staying in a Royal Guest Room at PO-R so it hope my fax will be enough

This happened to me too. When I went back into "details" of the on-line check-in, the options were there.
I was surprised that my on-line check-in was incomplete.
Maybe you can try it.

I think that Disney had way too many listed at first for online check-in, and now they have too few listed for many places. For the AKL, standard view, they took away the Kudu Trail view.

Quick update...we received both of our room requests, first floor and even got a corner room in Martinique. So glad we did. Still not sure if the call had anything to do with it but definitely our first time getting any of our requests fulfilled. Happy campers here
