Disney Calendar says open 9a-12a, so is EMH til 3a?????No way!

Uh, fewer people in the background... it's like having the park to yourself with only a thousand other people as opposed to sharing it with 25,000+ of your "friends."

Uh, the times we have been when it's open this late, it was not empty by any means. What month did you go that it was open at 3am?

Which was the reason I asked about the photo op. I will agree that night time photos are wonderful, but the times we have been after midnight it was never empty.

At New Years this year, MK was opened til 3 am and in the last 2 hours it was almost empty. I was so surprised. I think during the slower times of the season the EMH is really nice. During the summer and busy times, however, EMH can be REALLY crowded (especially during the summer when it is so hot during the day).

DD, who is 14, and I have been there that late a couple of times in summer months. She is a night owl and does fine as long as she can sleep a little later the next day. What is surprising is how many babies and toddlers you see out at that time of night. Most are NOT having fun.

Ya know what's really great??? Early EMH at MK at 7am after it's been open til 3am the night before! We were there last Spring Break and MK was open til 3am on late EMH nights. We didn't go for the late EMH at MK but going at 7am the morning after a late EMH night was fab, not crowded til like 1pm or so.

being a 7p-7a shift worker i would love being in mk at 3 am! it probably won't happen in the off season though.

I have to agree with this! I went last August-sister and I-and we stayed for about an hour, decided that this was a stupid thing to do (I think that we got on 1 ride in that hour and the lines after that ride were atrocious) and decided to head back to POP. THEN we got to deal with the bus lines (an hour in line to get back) I think that "never again" EMH late night at MK came out of our mouths! 'Course if I can figure out a way to do WDW this year with my teenage DD's....

we did Haunted Mansion , which even later at night made it even spookier...

Why is this?? Last May, we did the same thing--EHM until 3am It was AWESOME. Ok, I admit, we left around 2am, but I know the park stayed open 'til 3. ANYWAY, we did HM around 1:15am and it was SPPPPOOOOOOOKKKKKKKY!!! I don't know why--maybe because it was a REALLY DARK (no stars) night and kinda rainy, maybe it was because we were one of the few families on the ride, maybe it's because we just got the willies!!! Who knows but it was FUUUUUNNNNNN!!!

I agree that Frontierland and Liberty Square at MK is very eerie during EMH. It kind of feels like trick or treating...groups of people moving quickly from attraction to attraction in the dark and everyone is giggling...at least we were!

We will be going to the EMH the night of March 12!
