My 6 yo DD has mild CP. She wears AFOs and is unable to climb steps un-aided. Our last trip went fine. Mischa was only 3, light to pick up and in a standard pushchair. (Ooops, I mean stroller
) This year however we will have our Mclaren Major and a 2 yo DD too. Back in 2004 I seem to remember that the buses all had steep steps. I can see this will cause our stress levels to rise! I been on the various links and see that there is now a new generation of low floor busses. If these are in use my DD should be ok to board herself leaving Me and Mum (Ooops, done it again.... Mom
) to carry on the two strollers and our 2 yo aboard. We don't really want to use the bus lifts unless we have to as my DD appears to have no disAbility on first sight. My question? Anyone want to guess what approxamate percentage of busses are the newer low floor ones?
Thanks in advance.
