Disney bus driver falling asleep at the wheel

We were using Disney bus transportation from one of the parks to POR, sitting at the back of the bus, with only a few other people on board. The bus driver was literally falling asleep at the wheel. He was yawning every 30 seconds or so. We watched for a while to make sure he wasn't just squinting or something but no, every time we hit a straight stretch, he would close his eyes. In a panic, my husband ran from the back of the bus and woke him up by asking him a question about the bus transportation (for the only purpose of waking him up!) We managed to get the first name off of his ID tag, and the bus #. Where can I report this??

How scarey for you! He could have run off the road and hurt (or worse) the people on your bus or the occupants of another vehicle. I would go straight to the front desk and tell them how dangerous this guy is. He should be taken of the road ASAP before something happens...some buses carry people into the late hours of the night. Glad that you and your family are safe and sound.

I would say that this one is worth reporting to two persons to better ensure that it gets through.

Either at your next two destinations, or report it once for starters leaving a callback number or an email address (the latter only if you have a laptop on site) requesting a reply. If you do not get a reply in 24 hours, make the second report then.

Definitely scary.

I don't even want the guy fired, but I want him checked out. DH was falling asleep almost every time he sat down as he worked himself into type 2 diabetes. It was TERRIFYING. Cars, couches, waiting areas...any time he sat down, zonk. You can imagine how embarrassing being at work was for him. It was a horrible, awful time.

He has, in time, cleared up the blood sugar problem (solely dietary, yay for him!), but was still pretty darned tired. Nowhere near as bad, but not great. And finally his endocrinologist suggested a sleep study. He was coming out of good sleep something like 100 times per HOUR. And he only had 3-4 hours of lie-down time each night anyway (said it was his nature). Of course he was exhausted.

So I hope this is reported, followed through on, and this man can get evaluated to see if he has problems like DH did.
