Thanks In Advance

Hi,
I can recommend the buffet breakfast at the Crystal Palace in MK. It has a great selection of food and you get to meet Pooh and friends.
It's best you book, try and get an early reservation before the park opens it's great for photos etc while the park's empty. :)
It costs $19 for adults and $11 for children.

Hi there,

Over the last 10 years I think I have done them all, and a month long tour of the various Las Vegas buffets and I think they are great value. We nearly always have a larger meal in the middle of the day while at the parks so we can walk off the food and it's a fair bit cheaper. My personal favourites are:

1900 Park Fayre at the Grand Floridian, a great buffet handy if you at the MK.
The "Biergarden" in Epcot, great german food, you will be surprised how much fun it is and the entertainment is great fun.

My current favourite in the value for money class has to go to the Trails End Buffeteria which is at the Fort Wilderness, an easy boat ride from the MK and serves various "mums" home cooking dishes. I don't know the exact price but $12.99 for the evening meal rings a bell, we were stuffed.

There are lots of others also.

Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lodge is my favourite. You get the splendour of the building itself and the food is fantastic.
What sets it apart for me is that it's all African themed food, so you wont find a similar buffet at every Golden Corral, Ponderosa etc. It's not overspiced or odd tasting, like some foreign foods can be, and is very nicely presented.

It costs $26 per person, or $12 for kids 3-9. I've only ever booked the day before at guest services at DTD, (whether staying on or offsite), but have only been off peak. Easter falls in march this year doesn't it?, so I would think it would be best to book.

We went there for lunch and although it was a good price we found the lunchtime offerings very limited. It's probably best for dinner - we did enjoy taking the boat ride from the Magic Kingdom to get there.

Never seen Trails end before, Done Hoop and Mickeys BBQ but missed this, looks like my kind of food.
How busy does it get for eve meal? not into booking in advance, wont know until the day if we want to eat there, will there be any chance or is it always full?

Hiya,
We really liked the clambake at Beach Club. There were a lot of choices and we didnt feel rushed either (and you don't have to like seafood - there are plenty of other offerings) The Breakfast buffet at the Beach club is also good with lots of character interaction as well.

Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace breakfasts were both GREAT! Lots of character interaction and lots of food choice....oh and we're an adult only group, no kids but we had a blast!

As first timers, only returning two days ago, we haven't got lots of experience, but what we have is up to date. We did several several character meals, we had booked two, but did others because there was availability and to be honest it wasn't particulary expensive and you got a good meal.

The best by way of food, was Crystal Palace, lots of choice, from salads to hot food, great puddings and we weren't rushed, the table was cleared quickly, all soft drinks included with constant fill ups without asking. Characters were Pooh Bear, Eyeore, Piglet etc., and we weren't rushed. The cost in all around £30 for three of us (one 3 year old who ate well) and we thought it excllent value. The room was a little dissapointing, I was expecting something a bit more upmarket, but it was the best of the meals we had.

We were staying at the Beach Club and did the breakfast there and we were very disappointed. Characters were OK, although only Minnie, Goofy and Chip. The food was dried up and not really much of a choice to be honest. I am vegetarian and could only find eggs and waffles for me!

The service was slow, we had to ask for the table to be cleared, so we could go up again and I felt that once we had eaten, they didn't clear, so we would get the hint and go - we like to take our time in the mornings!

Personally I think lunches are a better deal and not much in the price really. We did a 2.00 lunch at CP and we were just over an hour and half, so, when we came out, the parade was just about to pass nearby, so it was excellent timing and hardly anyone in there either!

We actually had pre- booked two, one of which was the CP, didn't book the Beach Club, just went down for breakfast! We also went to one at Hollywood and Vine with Little Einstiens. We didn't book that one either and at a late lunch is was almost empty. We waited five minutes and had a table adjacent to the Buffet, which is a good spot as the characters all mingle and dance there. This was the livliest, but the venue was a bit cafe/basic, the food was good, service excellent. March maybe a little busier, but we were told during quiet times they always have availability as people often don't turn up, or change bookings.

I would suggest book one or two and then play it by ear, they don't take any credit card details, so if you change plans you are not charged and then if something else takes your fancy do that!

Have a lovely time.

Kate
