Disney Brides and Grooms - Occupations?

What an interesting thread! It's nice to see the diversity out there!

In May I started working for a small web design and development company and I'm a project analyst. Basically, that means I am the liaison between the clients and the programmers and graphic artists. I also help the clients write their website content and come up with color schemes, pictures, etc. Before this job I had been an executive assistant to presidents, CEOs, and Deans but all of those jobs got SO boring SO fast. I am finally using my degree. I have my BA and double minored, one minor being English. In this career I write all the time, and I love it! DH is a software developer and has been doing that since he graduated with his BS in computer engineering. He works for an international Fortune 500 company and travels out of the country several times a year. I miss him, but he always brings me back great presents :teeth:

Well, I'm 24 and DH is 25. We weren't a "Disney" wedding, but we were Disneymooners! We did the hometown wedding with over 600 invited, which was insane. We've been married a little over a year now.

He's an electrical engineer, which seems to involve planning where lights will go in buildings, but I'm sure I don't understand that right. I'm in my 3rd year of my graduate program in School Psychology, which is the year I intern full time. So...I work in the small public school system that I grew up in, testing kids and working with teachers and parents. I'm absolutely loving it so far, and it's kind of fun being back in my hometown. It made the transition so much simpler because I already knew so many people (plus my dad was a principal in the system, so I knew a lot of school employees too).

I just turned 37 and dh will be 48 in Dec. I'm an early childhood service provider for my local school district. Basically, I coordinate services for preschoolers with special needs who are being intergrated into regular preschools both in the public school setting and in Headstart settings. This is my first year doing this. I was a classroom teacher (B.S. in Early Childhood Education and M.Ed. in Special Education) for 14 years. Dh owns a lawn maint. business. Currently, he manages both residential and commercial properties.

Hi everyone..
What a great thread to get to know all the fellow disney brides out there.
I'm 26 and in my last year of veterinary school, I will be graduating aug 07 and a DFTW sept 07 :) :)
My DF is an internal medicine physician and working in a private practice.

Hi! I know we've got a lot of teachers on this site....and I'm one of them! I'm 32 years old and a first grade teacher here in California. I've been teaching for about 9 years.

Wow! This is such a great group, between us we could start several profitable businesses :cool1:

I am a Product Manager of Advanced Video Services, long title but basically I work with television programmers and determine what to offer our cable subscribers through 'On Demand' (this will probably make more sense if you have cable from Comcast, Adelphia, Cablevision or Time Warner)

My fiance is 44 and a Director of HR for a medical software company. So many interesting stories he comes home with, some employees come up with the most creative excuses! :rotfl2:

Great to read all of these, thanks everyone for sharing!!

Hi All!
I have enjoyed reading about what everyone does!
I am 33 and I am in HR and training and development...currently looking for a job. My DF is 36 and in IT, Network Operations for a large pharmaceutical company.

I work in the accounting department of an insurance office and Jeff is an over-the-road truck driver. I'm also a cheerleading coach for our 5th-6th grade rocket football squad.

I'm the Web Site Coordinator for a small internet marketing company. We do online publicity for books and authors. DF is an elementary school teacher: science and computer lab. He's working on getting his teaching license and then would like to be a regular classroom teacher.

Hi, everyone. I'm 30 and a Crime Scene Tech for a municipal police department. ::cop:

I've been with the city for 6 years and have had a variety of jobs. I began as a 911 operator and dispatcher for police and fire. I then became a patrol officer on the midnight shift. And now I've found my niche. I've been in Crime Scene for about a year. :magnify:

DF works for the same department. That's how we met. He is can do a little bit of everything in support services. He's a 911 operator, Dispatcher, Jailer and Juvenile Detention Officer. He's 31 years old.

Hi all, what a great thread.

I'm 27 and I'm a corporate travel consultant. My Fiance is 28 (on Halloween) and is an IT support engineer.
We met through work as he used to support the back office system that we use in our office. I would speak to him quite often and we decided to meet up, we've been together ever since.

I am 25 and teach Kindergarten. It is not the only job I have ever had, but it is the best. :sunny: I love working with the little ones, this is my 4th year in this school....

DF is 34 and is also a teacher, though he teaches Marketing in the secondary level. And, though he won't admit it outloud to anyone else, he loves it too... ;)

I'm 27 and supervisor in the replen department of our local Ikea. Not the best or most feminine job in the world but it pays the bills and the anti social 3am starts mean I have the day at home with our daughters.
Marc is going to be 25 tomorrow and is an engineer, mainly electronically biased. He currently works for a production company called Rexam. They make drink cans. He's wasted in this job but the money is better.

Wow this is an awesome thread its interesting to see what everyone does. Im 25 and my DH is 32 we are both Active Duty in the Air Force.

I am 32 - just finished my masters in May and I am currently looking - I am a summer swim coach which I would do for the rest of my life if I could - I would like to get into academic advisement at the community college level -
My fiance is also 32 and is a divorce lawyer - he does other things but that is their primary focus- unfortunately.

There are so many nurses / nurse to be on this board! It's kinda neat!! :)

I've been a nurse for a year and a half and I'm 24 years old!

My Fiance is 27 and is about to graduate with a degree in Process Plant Technology. But for now, he's a student! :)

:cool1:  :cheer2: This is a neat topic!!

Wow I feel like I know everyone now!

I am 21- and a stay at home (soon to be called) housewife who just left Real Estate to finish planning the wedding. I have a lot of car dealership history (father is GM of one, worked in one growing up,etc).

I am so very honored to have a (soon to be --in less than 1mo) DH -22 years old- that is a finance manager at a local Ford/Lincoln/Mercury :car: Car dealership. We bought a home together 2 yrs ago and are currently working on opening up our own car franchised dealership :moped: .

Hi everyone, I'm 26 and I am currently working as a Bank Teller for Suntrust Bank and working towards getting my bachelors and masters for Teaching Pre-k-3rd grade and my DH2B is 30 and he is in real state, working towards becoming a mortgage broker.:tinker: pixiedust:

What a fun thread! Everyone does such exciting/ diverse things!

I am a 24 yr old grad student working on my Master of Public Health in Health Promotion. I am finally done w/ classes in December :woohoo: and will have my degree next May! My graduate assistantship is working at the Community Health Services Dept of a local hospital. I help facilitate and analyze different programs we offer, such as nutrition and physical activity interventions for overweight children. It's so much fun! This is the type of job I want when I graduate.

DF, who is just about to turn 25, is also a professional student :rotfl: He just received his M.S. in Sports Physiology and is in his 2nd year of med school. He thinks he wants to be a Sports Orthopedist when he grows up.

This is a fun thread!

I am 29 (for 6 more weeks) and am a legal secretary for the moment. ;) DF is 42, a RE appraiser and owns his own business so I also do a little moonlighting as his office manager from time to time.
