I just got back from POP yesterday. Had the best time. I got a flyer in my room the day before we left with a code for the Free Dining bounceback, so I booked it for next year... but I am not sure if this is a good deal.

$1578 for 6 days, 5 nights at the POP. 8/23/09-8/28/09. 4 adult tickets for myself, my dd will be 15 and twin boys will be 11 next year. Magic your way plus dining. Preferred room. No park hopper.

Is that a good deal? I still have to book air.

WELL,I went to disney world.com and put your dates in with the perferred room,4 adults,no park hopper, with water parks and it was much higher than what you are paying with the free dinning.I guess that the disney website can not give you the actual cost of the free bounce back, because with what you said the price that you will be paying is much lower than on the official site, many like myself think that we can go to this site and put in out information excluding the dinning plan and that is what we can look to pay,but from your information this is not true,I hope more people post their Bounce Back vacation cost !!!!

Original Poster did not list "with water parks"... If you put the dates, # of people & preferred in with just Base tickets, the total is much closes to poster's figure.

Good idea Evan&Kimberly. Don't know why I didn't think of doing that. I just went and plugged in my dates for the POP, 4 adults, no park hopper, no water parks, preferred room without dining, and the site said it would cost, $1624. So I guess I am saving $46 plus I get the free dining... not so bad I guess.

I also punched in the same information along with a dining option, and the cost was $2423. So in that case it looks like an overall saving of $845. I guess that is good, right?

sounds ok to me. We are going sept 26 oct 4 this year with a bb from last year and we paid just about 1800 for 8 night at pop 8 day hopper no water parks for 3 adults

HI!
Was wondering if you could tell me what the dates of this offer are?
I am hoping to get a bounce back offer when we go. And if I can preplan what dates they are offering it will help.

ANd Yes... I think you got a great deal. You basically got the free dining plan that does not get offered to the public until (what is the month) May ... i believe. That is one of the most coveted offers that people wait for! So well done and happy replanning!

Hi team disney. Thanks for your input. The dates on my flyer were for 8/23/09-10/1/09. It also said to ask about packages from 10/2/09-10/8/09. The reservations must be made on or before 10/24/08. Good luck to you for getting what dates you want for your next trip. :)

Thanks! I have spent the past couple of hours planning my next trip before even taking this years!:lmao:

Interesting about the 10/2-10/8

I am thinking about late AUgust 2009

Thanks again

I tried to do the math using the flyer quoted rates for moderates and deluxe resorts...but it didn't come out to what the online system was giving me :( So I guess we'll do a Value again next year. It's odd that I can multiply that 'per room/per person' rate for value's and it works out to about the same as what Disneyworld.com is giving me....but trying to do it with the mods or deluxe and it's way off base from Disneyworld.com.....who knows. I just wanted to see if we could afford a mod or deluxe next year before checking in this year so we wouldn't make the CM on the phone run all those numbers for us, especially if there was absolutely no way.

If anyone makes a ressie using the bb at mod or deluxe, post your numbers....that might help those of us trying to make an informed decision :)

Thanks!!!

OP I paid 1604.00 this year for my trip next week for two adults, a 10 year old and a 6 year old for five nights at ASM, with park hoppers so I think you got a good deal after the increase in tix and since you are in a better county at POP tax wise than ASM! Did you get hoppers? I will feel bad about my own deal if that price is with hoppers.

I think you did the right thing! It really is a good deal. I am going in 11 days to WDW and I'm hoping (pleassssssse) to get the bounceback offer. It really is a good deal. I usually upgrade to the DxDP but the savings is great. SO EXCITED.

I am doing the legwork ahead and what I got for CBR is the following:

Sept 14-21 (Mon-Fri- cheaper than weekend dates)
Standard view room
Base park tickets

1583.53

Same dates with Park Hoppers- 1796.53

That is where Disney got the numbers from I think...

ETA looked at the flyer that is floating around and it says 1764... not sure what the extra 32.00 is on my quote.. perhaps there is a mod that generally runs a little cheaper (like is in the same county that POP is in?)...

We just checked out of the Yacht Club on Monday and were not given a Bounce Back offer. I asked about it at the front desk and they said they are not given to everyone. We probably would not have booked anyway, but I kind of wanted the option. So to those of you who receive the Bounce Back offer - you should feel lucky :)

I didn't get hoppers or water parks. I got the hopper tickets for my last trip and we never used them. My kids were happy doing one park a day.

What do you mean the POP is better tax wise? I didn't realize there was a difference in taxes. What are the different counties? and tax percentages? do you know?

Free dining is the regular dining, not the counter service. And the tax rate at pop is a differance of like $0.28 a day so dont worry about that
