I am looking to to plan my DD 6, going to be 7 birthday party. We are going all out this year for her and will be having around 50 people, 20 will be kids. It will be at a local hotel's conference room where we will use the pool and go swimming. (Parent/child ratio is fine and there will be lifeguards so thats no big deal. Also mostly family.) My question is that she wants it to be Disney, mostly Mickey and Minnie or Magic Kingdom. I'm looking for some awesome ideas. Anything related to food, decorations, games, etc... Any ideas you have that would blow her out of this world would be awesome!!! Thanks so much in advance for your help!! We do have a few months to get everything ready so time is no problem either!!! Thanks again, I'm sure I'll get some awesome ideas!!!

Be sure to get a Mickey cake.. and if money is no object, I would get all 20 of the kids Mickey ears as their goodie treat. I would also look in the Disney Store for anything that strikes you.. use your imagination. Mickey bowls can be used on the tables and then you keep them or place a number under each seat & pull numbers from a hat. Who ever is sitting on the chair with that number gets to take the bowl home ....etc....

Since it will be at a pool, there are some decent beach towels that you can get too..

We did a Disneyland party for DD7's 3rd birthday and it was SOOOO fun!!

For party favors, when we went to DL a month before the party, I saved all of the mini plastic Disney lunchboxes that came with the kids meals (they don't do these anymore, SAD!!) and inside I put 1 Mickey Mouse lollipop from DL, a mini bag of Mickey shaped pretzels and 3-4 Disneyland specific Mr Potato Head pieces (I think the Sorcerers hat, the Mickey ice cream bar, the red Mickey balloon and the Mickey ears) along with some Mickey fruit snacks (these came from Target or grocery store or something).

For food, we had regular food but I served all of the sides in the biggish plastic Disney popcorn buckets that I had saved. Also, instead of cake I made individual star shaped brownies for everyone and put them on a giant cake sheet and wrote When You Wish Upon a Star on them. Also, I had saved all of our extra napkins from our Disney trip (didn't take extra, just saved what I touched but didn't use!) and had those out instead of regular napkins.

I think that's it. Was a REALLY simple and fun party tho, LOL.

Thank you for all the wonderful ideas!!! Can't wait to hear more!! We are hoping this is her best birthday ever!!!

Check out the Post Disney Theme Nights thread. Tons of ideas on Disney parties.

Walmart has really nice plastic Disney cups for 75 cents each in the party section. You could fill those with treats for their "goodie bag"

I sent you a greeting with my email. Contact me so I can give you more information on handmade Minnie decorations (invites, banners, centerpieces, party favors). When is the party?
