Disney Benefits if you are camping?

I am wondering if campers get the same benefits as onsite hotel guests, like early entry, magic bands, free parking at the parks etc?

Trying to plan an economical trip and was just looking at the option of camping.

You are on a Disney Resort, you get everything they resort guests get except mousekeeping at the campsites. That you have to handle yourself. Though I had a wonderful grounds keeper this year in the 300 loop that would blow off my patio nearly every day for me. I had to hand deliver her a thank you card and a small token of appreciation.

I can deal with the mousekeeping as it is less expensive then the alternative of boarding my dogs for a week. Plus my pups enjoy vacationing with me as much as I do with them. They even put up with the hours of being alone in return for a good romp in the dog park.

I have a dual AC 40' 5th wheel with massive slides and directv. my version of roughing it is running low on ice.

Actually, to us, we get much 'more' benefits!! The ones you mentioned 'plus' we get our own bed, kitchen, living area, bathroom and privacy!!
All these additional benefits are what 'makes' it for us. We have the best of both worlds - a great resort, plus our own 'private' hotel!!

We aren't actually going the economical route, and I don't cook, but it is all worth it to us. 'But' we did start economical, we've just worked our way up a little.

can see the MK fireworks from the Fort's beach (with the music piped in!)
can see the electrical water parade from the beach as well.
deer to see, along with turkeys wandering thru your campsite.
Chip & Dale at the campfire/singalong/outdoor movie.

Yes, you will have the same benefits as guest in other hotels. Plus the Fort has a boat dock with boat travel! We have stayed at the Fort and a few of the Disney hotels over the yrs! When at the Fort we enjoy having a break from riding the bus and riding the boats to MK. The Fort seems to be closer to MK than anywhere we have stayed in hotel. (All stars, Pop & AOA)

I don't know what you plan on camping in but Comfort Stations are great if you have to rely on them. They have laundry facilities as well. Campsites have grills (I don't know if all) and picnic tables. I always bring my own food cheaper but they do have places to buy a few groceries.There is a pool with water slide, hot tub, play area for little ones. Pool at the cabins.

When camping at Disney we usually like to ask for a campsite near the boat dock preferred sections, 100, 200, 300, or 400 and 700. In 700 it is not really a loop. We really liked it except for the fact it does not have a comfort station. You have to walk across the street and use the comfort station in loop 400. Reason we like these loops is because we have never rented a golf cart and it is easy just to walk and catch the boat over to MK. You don't have to take an internal bus to the boat dock that way.

If you want to be near the pool a lot you may want a campsite near that. Or you may want quite and away from those things! You can do that, too! LOL! You may want to look on a map at the Fort on Birds eye view to help make up your mind.

Probably ONE OF THE BIGGEST benefits for camping at The Fort!

My hubby was not crazy about the idea of tent camping either, and our family won't fit in a cabin. We are renting a travel trailer from a rental company instead. It's still less than 2 rooms at a value resort, and we are able to eat most of our meals at our campsite. That alone is going to save us a ton of money! You can rent a popup camper for even less than the travel trailer if you are wanting to save even more. Have fun planning!!

We love camping at the fort in our motorhome! We have stayed at several resorts and the cabins but camping is our favorite! You mentioned having pets-- they do have a little fenced dog park that is right next to one of their kids play parks. They have several kids play areas that my son loves-- we usually try to get a spot across from one of the parks so my son can swing/play while we are getting ready. They have a large pool area w/ water slide and baby pool. They also organize several kids games during the day at the pool. There is a snack bar at the pool. They have 2 gift shops w/ groceries at the campground. The restaurant there is very good too. You can plan horseback riding or rent bikes/boats. We usually plan to spend one day just at the campground and then head to the outdoor sing-a-long and movie at night. Really, there is much more to do at the campground than any of the resorts. Have fun!
