Disney Bells and Pixie Dust! Our Practically Perfect Vacation!*Thanks for reading!

That's what they should change their name to! STUPID HP!!:rotfl:

they should. I had so many problems with my desktop I went out and bought a Dell. :woohoo:
Glad yours is up and working again.

Hi relatively new to the DIS i have been going around reading peoples reports. Nice work i am enjoying the read:thumbsup2 I hope all the info i am gathering will help with my trip in august

Have you been at Christmastime before? Where are you staying? We're staying at POP and need to start our planning!

We've been at Christmas twice before and I LOVE:love: it!! Last year the lure of free dining pulled us in. So we went in September. The park was decorated for fall/halloween. It was nice but it wasn't Christmas!!

That was the first time we stayed on property too. We usually do rental houses. I took a family vote this year and everybody voted for the rental house!! There are 5 of us, so our least expensive on-site option was POR. It was a lovely resort but....one bathroom was TOUGH:headache:

They much prefer the 4 bedroom 4 bath house with private heated pool! My oldest will be 16 when we go and I can not stress enough the joy she feels in having her own bathroom:rotfl2: This year I'll have 2 teenagers - DS just turned 13!:scared1:

We are so excited...shh...don't tell but I've already planned at all our ADR's. I'm just waiting for park hours and the 180 day mark to set it all in motion.

Glad to see your back Monica! great update and the pictures are great too. I wanted to go inot Character connection when we were there but we skipped it. Too bad because my DS loves Chip & dale. looking forward to the rest of your Epcot day. Sorry about the line cutters :sad2: that was very rude of them. At least you spoke up though :thumbsup2 .

Welcome back Monica. I think I've had 3 birthdays (which I couldn't afford) since you've been away so long.

Great Pics. I just love how Megan looks so shy but then gets right to it with the characters. So glad Hunter got to meet up with his pal, Pluto.

Is the Character Connection the place for Disney Visa holders to have exclusive meets?

And way to go for speaking up on the bus lines. I hate crowders. I'll be dealing with some of my own crowders in my next installment on my trip report too.

So glad we won't have to wait so long for the next update.

We LOVED Christmastime and it'll be hard to go any other time. Well, our trip consists of a bunch of DIS girls who are planners so we'll all have to agree on our plans! That should be interesting!

Hey! I think they should post bus etiquette at each bus stop! Our Epcot day was an interesting one! Lots of fun, but we had an "incident".

Happy Birthday! Happy Birthday! Happy Birthday!:rotfl:
My kids shy?:rotfl2: Megan starts out shy, but warms up quickly. She really did love the characters.
Character Connection is for everyone. It replaced the double decker bus that drove around w/ all of the characters on it.
Lets hope the computer holds up til the end of my report!

Wonderful TR. I enjoyed all of the pictures. I can't wait to see everything first hand. We are doing 3 days at WDW and 4 days on DCL. This will be my very first trip to WDW and our first cruise. :cool1:

Hi Hannah! I also have a bday coming up, but I'm not as excited about it as you are!:rotfl:

Nice to have you back. Great update and great pictures! The kids are precious. I can't believe Megan almost knocked Minnie out.:lmao:

So glad you're back! No HP comments from me, since they pay my mortgage! :rolleyes1 Loved the pictures & can't wait for more!

Another lurker here coming out of hiding! Wonderful trip report so far! Love all the pics. As I read through your report, I can go back to our trip in my head and everything comes back to life.

Hey Laura! I thought of you when I was bashing them.:rotfl: I'm actually more upset about the lack of customer service than the computer breaking 3 times! Things break, and that's life, but a large computer company should have customer service!

Anyways.... Glad we're both back on the computer and getting back into our DIS life!! You must be :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9:!!!

 Yay another lurker!! I should take a month off more often!:rotfl: What an awesome compliment! I love reliving our fabulous trip and I'm so happy I can help you do the same! I hope to have a new installment up tonight! It's a DOOZY!!!:rolleyes1

We had a great time with the characters and as we exited guess who was setting up? It’s the Jammitors! We watched them bang away on the garbage cans. A fun time and a great potential Disney job for my kids! They’re great at making noise! When they were finished they passed out junior Jammitors in training stickers. I wanted to keep them nice to scrapbook with, the kids wanted to wear them. Oh well!

We decided to head over to the Seas since we had awhile until our Fast Passes for Soarin. Lynn called and guess what?! They won dream fast passes!! Well, I’ll tell you now. We never did meet up. Sorry Lynn. We just seemed to be behind them the whole day! We’ll meet some day. She only lives 30 minutes from me! Megan loved the seagulls. They spoke her language! “Mine, Mine, Mine!” We also got some Photopass pics here.

After some pics we headed in. We walked straight onto a clam. The girls in one clam, the boys in another. It was cute. I did like the part with the jellyfish. We exited our clams and walked around looking at fish and manatees. This place is just OK for me. There are just so many really neat aquariums around that this one is just average. Now I am not too clausterphobic, but I felt a little panicky in the tunnel and had to get out of there! I think it was a combination of being a little hungry, it was hot in there, and a little closed in. I got into the open area and immediately felt better. We took the typical “kids in Bruce’s mouth” picture then we hopped in the waiting area for Turtle Talk.

I was very excited about this show. I had heard such wonderful things and we had never been. We had to wait awhile and I did not like the way they pack the people into that room. YUCK! They finally let us in and Hunter took a seat up front with the other kids. I made sure I told him to wait right there afterwards since I had heard it can be hard to locate your kids when its over. This show was very funny and very cool. The part with Dory and the whale cracked me up! Then it was question time. Little girl asks about what turtles eat, little boy forgets his question, and then Crush says, “Little dude in front with the black shirt.” Uh Oh! I get that mixed feeling of “Cool, he called on Hunter!” and “What the heck is Hunter gonna say?!” We get this feeling a lot during children’s moment at church! Hunter says, “So, what’s it like being a turtle?” Everyone laughs, and Crush seems a little surprised by the question, but recovers quickly. It was funny. I’m actually really glad that Hunter’s not shy. Most of the time!

It’s time for Soarin! We were very excited! Posted wait time: 90 MINUTES!! We get out our Fast Passes and get our child swap pass. Dave, Hunter and I go first. While waiting we talked to the nice family in front of us. As they were assigning people their rows I see two Cms talking to a small group of people, most in ECVs. The CM told them that they needed to make a decision because they were loading. Then I see that they have a golden retriever with them. Oh cool! We get to ride Soarin with a dog! We take our seats, I put my shoes in the underseat bag. Hunter’s seat doesn’t have a between the leg loop on his seat belt so he has to move over and sit in the section with the other family. She makes sure he gets hooked in and we take off. We all loved this ride, but I would have loved it more if I hadn’t been distracted by my visual of a Golden Retriever strapped into a seat with the wind blowing his fur! I thought if this dog starts barking I’m gonna die laughing! Yes, I’m easily amused. I also found it hard not to lift up my feet so they didn’t drag in the ocean! Being barefoot must have heightened my senses. Neat ride. As we exited the dog waited obediently for his group and I gave him a little smile. We met up with my mom and I knew she would love it. Hunter definitely wanted to ride again which left us with one more pass. Dave had to use the restroom so I decided to skip a second ride and see if I could get Megan to go to sleep.

I took Megan over to an empty group of tables, but she didn’t want to go to sleep. Living with the Land had no wait so I decide we’ll ride that next. I see Dave up on the top level returning from the restroom. He gets on the escalator and is looking around for us. So do I wave, or go over to him? No, it’s funnier to watch him look around for us. Finally I see him get out his cell phone and call me. I answer and laugh, he doesn’t think it’s funny. A group sits down next to us with some yummy smelling food so we get up and leave. We’re getting very hungry, but our ADRs weren’t until 2:10. We go over to meet mom and Hunter and of course she loved it. We head on over to Living with the Land and hop in a boat. Megan was happy to be on another boat. Hunter didn’t really care to ride the plant ride, but he did like it since it had some animals. My mom loves this ride since she is a huge plant person. I hope she gets to do the tour sometime. I think she’d really enjoy it.

Next up: The incident that caused be to become "that mom"

Great update! :thumbsup2 I wish you had a pic of the golden retriever :rotfl:

So who did what to make you be "that mom"

Great update! I have never ridin Soarin', but it is definitely on my list for the next trip!

I also the Living with the Land boat ride. Seems kinda cheezy to alot of people, but for some strange reason I enjoy it.:confused3 I don't even garden or eat vegetables!

Please tell me you have a picture of this golden retriever  riding Soarin! That is just crazy. I would think the service animal would wait for them by the ride exit. Loved your Seas with nemo pics and living with the land pics. My DD is reading along with me tonight and she thinks Megan is adorable!! I can't wait to hear about the"incident", thought these things only happen to me.
