Does anyone know how much it is for a boy's haircut? My son wants to go to get colored gel in his hair but he desperately needs a haircut. We will be there in a week. If the price is reasonable he can get a cut and gel, but if not then I can get it cut at home where we normally go and then just go back to his original plan of gel only.

Prices just went up a small amount recently, but they are still
extremely reasonable (especially for Disney)
A child's haircut is still less than $20.

They'll likely include some sprinkles/color and the like at no extra charge.

(Be sure to bring some CASH to tip the barber.)

One important thing to remember at the MK Barber Shop. When they removed the old antique cash register and put in a terminal to allow use of credit cards and hotel charges and the like they hooked into The Emporium's network. The register, unlike ones in table service restaurants, cannot handle tips as part of the transaction.

So if you are planning on using the Harmony Barber Shop please be aware that if you are using any sort of card you cannot add a tip on the card and should have cash available for tipping.

my 7 year old got a haircut there a month ago and it was $15 (according to DH)

We were there in January and I think we paid $15. They added the painted Mickey in the back of his head for free. The paint does rub off if he is wearing a hoody or a collar though until it dries. MY DS loved it!

Adults are $17, plus Tip. One time we gave Michael a tip of Pralenes from River Street Sweets here in Savannah. It's one of his favorite candies.

Not sure about younger kids.

I don't think I have ever really seen the shop, although I know right where it is. Is it generally a very busy spot where we will be in for a long wait. I know you can not make reservations so can anyone let me know what we may be looking at in terms of time frame?

1- If you go right at Rope Drop in the morning, you can be one of the first there.
3- It varies. It certainly can be very busy. Some go during an MK parade and find shorter waits.
4- Anything from 0-75 minutes. You just never know.

Just got haircuts 2 weeks ago:

Kids $15.00

Gel Style $7.50 (all guests are now charged regardless of whether get cut or not - not sure about above getting Mickey head for free, but they charge for all now, except for small babies/toddlers who might get a fingertip of gel on the top of his spikes, like our toddler did - our last haircut before this was July, and so it changed sometime between summer and now)

Adults $18.00 (pretty sure that this went up from $17.00)

We had Micheal, and he's the best stylist there, IMHO, Tiger

Every time I go to the MK I have this done. One time I went about 10 am and the wait was crazy like 90min. The last 2 times was a walk in. Can't for Oct to come so I can do this.

I don't think they do Donald. And the Mickey is not actually shaved into the head, but the colored gel is applied, in the proper pattern, to the very short hair in the back of the head.

My DD5 got her haircut and sprinkles put in yesterday. It was $15. We went in at about 2:40 (right before the afternoon parade) and there was no wait.

People commented the rest of the day. So few people do this and so many do BBB that this stands out more and cost less.

Plus we watched the parade right outside after she was done. We walked right up to the rope and had a great view. The crowd level was a 9 so I'm sure we couldn't have walked up 5 mins before anywhere else.

That is very helpful!! I am debating whether to do the BBB for our DD9 or just have it done at the barber shop with her brothers. She's not really "into" the princesses right now, so this might be better.
